While I am up here at camp for a few more weeks I decided I will make a crossbow, so yesterday I went out and found a maple sapling that I will use to make the prod. I started carving it out and when I'm done with that I will go to home depot in payson and get a fiberglass kit to do the backing. I am going to make the stock out of oak and I can make a string at the archery range.

If I can get ahold of a camera I will post pictures of my progress.

I, too, can't wait to see it. The tricky part of making your own stock is the trigger mechanism. I'm also assuming you have been following the C-bow posts on the main forums. People there recommend to keep it under 500 ip.

I wouldn't mind get a couple of oznog's bolts/arrows out here, too.

I quit when I found out you can only get fiberglass resin by the gallon.
