The Rules of Feudal Era Roleplay

Fighting Overview

Fighting: For an attack to be counted valid, it must use * or - at the end of each side, and must have at least 3 words. Casual expressions (eg, yawning, blinking, staring, etc.) are not effected by this rule.

Knocking Out: To make a simply knock-out move, it requires four lines to either: neck, temples, gut. Proper and valid ways of knocking out can only be made. (eg. a kick to the leg with four lines won't make someone pass out).

EX:
-Rams my fist down at your left temple-
-it hits the temple with a lot of force-
-the force impacts your head back-
-it blocks the blood rushing into your head-
-you black out from the stopping of blood to the brain-

-Knees your gut quickly-
-your diaphragm quickly bends inwards-
-your lungs are unable to expand to get air-
-you lose the air already inside of you-
-your body quickly blacks out-

Or something along those lines.

Killing: To actually end a fight with "death"* you must make 5 lines of a killing move. (Major blood of a major artery, or organ)

EX:
-quickly impales my Sword into your head-
-the blade pierces the skin-
-it cuts through down into the muscle-
-it rips through into the skull-
-it crushes the skull through into the brain-
-it pierces the brain-
-the blade cuts through the end of your head-
-the top of your head falls clean off of you-

-quickly stabs your chest with my Sword-
-it tears through the flesh-
-it cuts into the muscle-
-it lodges through the ribs-
-it pierces the lungs-
-cutting through the heart-
-your body begins to shut down from blood loss-
-you fall over limp-

Weapon Information: Dagger cannot reach further than 5 squares. Shuriken can only reach 6. Kunai can reach 7, Bows+Arrows can reach up to 8. Bigger weapons (eg. Swords, Lances, Axes, etc.) can only go two squares. Smaller projectiles (Kunai, Shuriken, Dagger) can only pierce itself into the muscle and no longer. Arrows (with help from a bow) can be lodged into the organs. Kunai and Dagger can go deeper into the body if it's being pushed into it. (meaning if a dagger is not thrown and actually pushed into the human body, then it can pierce an organ.)

EX:
-Quickly stabs my kunai into your head-
-it pierces the scalp of your head-
-it rips through the muscles-
-it continues through the skull-
-it cuts down into brain-
-your body shuts down-

Wounds: Wounds cannot be re-entered, nor can a person die from their wounds.

EX:
-quickly impales my dagger into your arm-
-it rips into the skin-
-it cuts through into the muscle-
*rips the Dagger off my arm*

Once it is out, the wound cannot be re-entered like so

-rips my kunai in your wound-
-continues into the bone-
-it cuts through the other end-

-your wound begins to bleed alot-
-the blood gashes out of your arm-
-it pours out heavily-
-your body falls from loss of blood-
-you black out from the blood loss-
-you die from the loss of blood-

Breaking Limbs: Breaking Limbs are almost the next-best-thing from continuing a wound. Once a limb is broken during the fight that said limb cannot be used during the battle, or at all until it is healed by a doctor or by other means. A limb break is 4 lines.

-Quickly latches my palm onto your elbow-
-Snaps the arm down-
-your elbow begins to snap downwards-
-it snaps the bones inhald now-

Typos: Unless the typo is literally unreadable then the move is still valid.

EX:
-Rips my asofndsa into your aspdnas-
-asfa the sdfpgjnwd-
-sdrlpasd the sdfg;adgr-
-asdgerweq into the agnager-
-rips erogneg th agoa-
-you fall dead-

That is void, but cases like this:

-rips my nkive into the haed-
-it cuts donw the skin-
-rips the musjkle now-
-it rip through the bon-
-it cuts the bran-
-you fall dead-

Are valid.

*Note: Death Rules will be explained further down.

Raiding or Breaching Defences

Raiding: To raid a village, the King of the respected Village, or their temporary leader, must be present during the attack. Two Knights are also to be present. If the King is not present, four Knights must be present. If none are there, the Village will not be able to be raided. The Raiders/Attackers, must have at least 4 people participating.

Gates/Walls: Gates/Walls cannot be attacked either. Attacking the Gates/Walls falls under the category of Raiding.

Death

Permanent Death: Permanent Death is instantly given to:
- Kings only.

Permanent death means what it says, permanent. They cannot be used again. Permanent death can also come if all groups participating in the fight agree to it.

Regular Death: "Regular" Death is simply a mark of the end of a fight. It lasts up to 24 hours (OOC/Real Life). The killer can choose how long the death is, but the maximum time is 24 hours, the minimum is 10 minutes. When someone dies in a regular death, their character will be "re spawned", and the death will be counted as a knock-out for future reference, or something similar.

Future Rules

The Rules here can be changed, and more can be added. You must speak to a Administrator to bring up what you deem is unfair or should be added. For a new rule to be removed, or added, both sides of the rule should be brought up by whoever wishes to join into the process.
