Here's a statement from HIM

Quote:

Dear Valued Client

You recently purchased a ticket to the proposed “Fahrenheit Concert” to be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on 3 October 2009.

You may have already read in the Sydney newspapers that Arena Management Pty Ltd, the Company which has responsibility for booking of the Sydney Entertainment Centre, has been placed into liquidation.

As a consequence and by reason of the flow-on circumstances, the above concert will not be able to proceed.

It is therefore with regret and our sincerest apologies that we refund to you the ticket purchase price paid to us.

You will appreciate that this has arisen from circumstances beyond our control.

We will be promoting future concerts and we hope that you will continue to support us, as you have done in the past.

Yours faithfully,

So it is true... Aagh, I know this was a spontaneous concert to begin with, but it did cause quite a stir, being their first English-speaking country! In my opinion they should have found a different venue, but I'm sure that would take too much time, and it would be much easier for the company and everyone involved just to bypass Australia altogether. A great shame indeed... But they'll make it to the English-speaking world one of these days, I'm sure of it ^^
