CTV uses scissors: 'ToGetHer' becomes incomplete love, Thursday February 19, 2009 Taiwan Source: UDN Translation: Sarah @ http://asianfanatics.net After CTV idol drama <ToGetHer> aired last Sunday, female lead Rainie Yang and the scriptwriter both wrote on their blogs that CTV had cut parts out of the drama and hence is ‘incomplete love.’ Netizens began protesting, requesting to restore the full plot. Yesterday, CTV replied: Only 17 minutes was cut, not the 30-minutes netizens thought, and the purpose is to let the story adopt a faster pace, and this will help the ratings. The night before yesterday, Rainie wrote on her blog: ‘incomplete love’ indicating that the broadcast channel had cut out almost 30 minutes. She said: “The first episode was not the real first episode. The director and scriptwriter are both unhappy with this, because we realized that our drama has been ‘tampered’ with!” The parts that CTV cut out, included a scene where Jiro Wang, who plays an idol who has lost his glamour/star, is abused by passer-bys on the street, and he takes all his anger out on Rainie. This scene portrays his inner turning points and being taken out of the drama, netizens said: “This makes Jiro look like an idiot.” Yesterday, Jiro also revealed he feels ‘hurt’, and concerned that several key emotional scenes were cut out: “Not only does this make his emotions incoherent, even the audience won’t be able to understand.” source: asianfanatics http://asianfanatics.net/forum/CTV-uses-scissors-ToGetHer-becomes-incomplete-love-talk628500.html *guys, did i post this on the right spot?? i don't know where i'm supposed to.. sorry.. i was quite upset after knowing this as i was about to watch ep1. but i guess because of the complaints from the fans, the tv network decided that they will release the uncut version of episode 1 & 2.. |

Yeah, it's in the right spot ^^ And I didn't think episode one was that horrible... I thought it still flowed well and made sense. Although it will be nice to see the uncut versions. |
