Hmm. I couldn't understand whole the clip but I got some ideas: - The woman is not satisfied. Because: + The room is cold + The bath is too small + The view is invisible (she wants something more interesting, she wants a sea (of course, there's no sea between land and sky ) so she asks the manager a telescope (very creative) ) + The radio is broken (actually, she has problem in her ears (maybe deaf) so she can't hear the radio's sound at normal volume (The manager has to turn the volume up) )+ She also asks the manager a lunch (and something else I couldn't get it), and the manager says that his wife will handle it. The lunch will come at half past twelve! - However, he orders his assistant to go to Betting Shop to buy something (maybe food for the lunch ). - The last scene, the manager asks his assistant to keep everything secret but the assistant doesn't get it. (Maybe he's stupid or he's really honest! I don't have any idea in this case ). That's all I got from this clip. Please leave your opinion and correcting as soon as better!

@ Tu: 1. Of course, not "All Correct", but not bad at all, Tu, not bad at all. You have surprised me. 2. Naturally, it is not easy at all to follow closely every conversation provided by this sitcom. To tell you the truth, even I, myself, now could not catch every word, but it is indeed so useful, especially if you pay high attention to fluency practice, because it is normal-speed English. 3. There is a lot more at http://commonsimpleenglish.blogspot.com/search/label/st-jc upon which I have spent days to make a decent collection, and still not finished yet. 4. More information on this sitcom that was produced by the BBC is available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fawlty_Towers, and at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fawlty_Towers_episode_guide. I recommend "Fawlty Towers" because: "... In a list of the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes drawn up by the British Film Institute in 2000 that was voted by industry professionals, Fawlty Towers was placed first. It was also voted fifth in the BBC's "Britain's Best Sitcom" poll in 2004 ..." |

| I just could not find anything interesting in the clip. So I think I dont get the humor here (and I was waiting for somebody who got it to explain the humor for me). |

| @Thao: I think the humors in this clip are the emotion, actions, and words of the actor and actress. I don't know how you are but I can laugh at some scenes, naturally. |

@ Thao: Just an example: What did Mrs. Ellis Richards say when she was shown the bath (of her room) by Mr. Basil Fawlty? |
