(In this post I'll put most of the attention on Kouri, since I put a lot of the attention between Mikan and Tyrune's encounter in my last post.) Mikan and Tyrune stop in their tracks as a mysterious man simply stops ahead of them. Obviously he wasn't going to step out of the way, and unlike the old man Tyrune, this one didn't look too friendly. Pulling her bow off her back and notching an arrow, but not pulling it back, Mikan quietly backs away from Tyrune's side and stops about one foot away from Kouri's side. Just in case this was all a setup Mikan made sure to be as close to the Princess, and as far from "Tyrune" as she could possible be. After all, he could be a danger to either the Princess or herself. They had still not yet truly confirmed if he could be trusted. Again, her more mission-oriented side was coming out as her spunky side was quickly locked out. Tyrune noticed Mikan slip away from his side, but didn't really care. Unlike her, he was a naturally trusting fellow.. After all, the members of his guild all used to wear hooded garments except when sleeping or when performing magical feats. Looking behind himself to see Mikan merely glare at him, he shrugs and walks towards the stranger. Stopping about five feet away from the stranger, Tyrune says in a somewhat aged tone of voice. "My name is Tyrune.. These two comrades of mine happen to be a little.. Ehem.. "Shy" is all. Who are you and why do you remain in our path?" As Tyrune asks his, he quietly puts both of his hands behind his back to show that he meant no harm. Kouri was starting to feel tired from all the walking; she was from royalty not from military school. She wouldn't stop until she reached Arian though.. That beautiful lake.. Ahhh.. That could make any achey, sore, or emotionally distraught people just suddenly feel at ease to take one good look at it. Maybe if they were curious they'd take a drink from it too. Then they would feel truly relaxed, as there is no other water quite like that. It just makes you feel good about yourself, somehow.. And it always shines even on the gloomiest of days. The people of Arian certainly take great care to make sure that lake remains the way it is. Oh the people of Arian.. So peaceful and happy themselves. They were always fun to talk to and the children? The few that there were light up the streets were their happy smiles and their bright red cheeks. Yes, that was Arian for you. Kouri was startled out of her day dream as Mikan and Tyrune both stop. Hearing Mikan pull out her bow, Kouri quickly reacted by reaching for her oak staff. Looking towards the hooded man, her eyes open widely and she hesitates for a moment as the strange hooded man stared in her direction, no, at her. The chilling stare reminded her of that one night, that night where Myria vanished.. She swore that something on that night stared at her too. Mikan arrived by her side, and that moment of hesitation ended as she pulled her oak staff off her back with her right hand and felt a little bit of magic course through her left arm. Did he see something in me.. Or did he see my magic.. Kouri thinks to herself as she then also continued to wonder about Tyrune. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to send her on this mission.. Then again.. It was probably a better idea than sending "Violence first, questions if anyone survives" method that her sister "developed" and used against anyone who dared to threaten Renalta or the royal family. Still.. This man stood in their way. Any normal traveler might stare for a moment before thinking that it was royal business and moving on.. But no.. This one chose to stop and instead of asking questions, remained eerily silent. At least she could depend on Mikan.. Wait.. Aside from that little failure against her sister, Mikan hasn't shown any combat prowess yet. Well hopefully she's a good fighter.. And Tyrune.. Certainly some type of magical power. That would be the only explainable way he could teleport like that. But what kind? It isn't any kind that Mikan recognized.. And she's read hundreds of books on the subject. Even if fire was her favorite she didn't shy away from the other books. The more you know the more likely you are to survive. A slight breeze blows by as this scene unfolds, rustling the trees and causing most of the birds to take flight from the trees and fly to the East of our Adventurers. The skies remained mostly clear, but there seemed to be the hint of a storm far to the West of our Adventurers. The grasslands themselves seemed relatively at peace with knee high, perfectly leafy green grass and one dirt path about the width of an average horse led wagon that seemed to go relatively straight. The grasslands aren't perfectly flat, but they rather are not hill-like either. They have officially left Renalta, and have entered the outskirts of Arian. It was almost dusk, and if someone had perfect eagle-like eyes they might even see Arian in the distance. It would likely be just after nightfall before the group would reach it however. Ooc: Well i am sorry that i could not post i was sick for awhile then my computer started going wonky and i had to Reorganize my place so now i am back and i hope nothing like this happens again. Ic: Mai waited as the young girl walked back obviously weary of him and the other man in the cloak. Also Mai sensed magic flowing through the strange girl was it flowing through her arm? either way it did not matter the old man had said something. (So why did i stop? the area around here is sparse and not much food left to hunt and maybe i am looking for adventure? hmmm) Mai stood for a bit thinking about how to handle the situation without a fight but still being able to come along feet shifted and people stared at him as they awaited his response (Hmmm. when and why?) then Mai chose to respond to the Question. "I am simply a traveler who is seeking to see new places and believes that in the presence of royalty that he could see those places." And with that Mai took to steps back and said calmly "I can tell that they do not trust me i will give them time to think about and." And with that Mai started to walk backwards into the Darkness. (Sorry for the short post i am still a bit sick.) |

(I'll have to say that walking into the shadows is impossible; your standing in a grassy field. It's either all dark or all bright and since it's dusk, it's still bright. Oh yeah, sorry about not mentioning Tyrune's walking stick yet. I mentioned it in his character profile and never put it into play. )Tyrune scratches the back of his head in confusion as he watches the "traveler" start walking backwards. What is he doing.. Tyrune thinks to himself before leaning on his slightly withered walking stick in deep thought. What exactly was he doing here again? Oh right.. That princess with incredible power.. Yawning out of slight boredom he wonders why he had to leave Arian today of all days. This was all being somewhat of an inconvenience to his original plans of just purchasing some clean vials to gather more samples of Arian lake's water. Maybe this was an act of god that brought them all together.. No.. That would be the easy way out. Besides, God has yet to show his existence.. At least to Tyrune anyway. Mikan sighed to herself as she whispered in Kouri's ear. "What do you think we should do Kouri?" Her grip on her bow tightened as she watched the stranger suddenly start walking backwards. What is he doing now? Mikan thinks to herself as she heard Kouri step forward. "What are you doing!? What if he's hostile!" Kouri merely shrugged and whispered back. "If he had a hostile intent he likely would have exacted it out upon Tyrune.. Who appears to be a frail old man." Mikan considers this for a moment before letting her notched arrow drop to the ground so that she could grab Kouri's arm. I'm under orders to protect you. That means even if I have to protect you from your own wishful thinking. Princess." Kouri growled lightly under her breath upon hearing the word "Princess." She hated being called "Princess." It differentiated her from everyone else. Shoving a now surprised Mikan away, Kouri merely whispers. "I can take care of myself! Besides, my name is Kouri.. Mercenary." Mikan blinked her eyes in slight confusion before understanding the message that Kouri was trying to convey in that last word. "Sorry, but you have to understand my position here! It is my duty to protect your life, even at the cost of my own!" By the time Mikan finishes speaking this Kouri has already taken a few steps closer to the stranger. "In that case why don't you follow and "protect" me, brave Mikan." Kouri couldn't help but poke a little bit of fun towards Mikan. Or at least, it seemed that way. Mikan smiled slyly before speaking herself. "Okay! Fine! I'll play your game! She sheathes her bow and picks her arrow up off the ground. Dashing for a moment to catch up to Kouri, she puts her arrow back into her quiver as they pass by Tyrune. Tyrune blinks in confusion: one moment they were being cautious and careful, yet the next moment they are both walking up to this stranger? This was a strange world indeed. Shrugging to himself he meagerly stands up straight, stretches a bit, and waits to see what might happen. After all, this wasn't his adventure. At least, not at the moment anyway. Well.. Maybe he could at least keep something ready. In this case, he muttered the incantation for a teleportation spell. Worst case scenario is that he teleports himself away from this and never thinks about doing this sort of thing again. Kouri merely kept up a masquerade of curiosity; this man frightened her. However it was best to find out if he was a friend or foe now, then later when it could be revealed that he is a kidnapper or a murderer. Kouri could easily take him down with her decent knowledge in fire magic if he were to attack right now anyway. At least, hopefully she could do so. No, she could easily do this.. Since they are so close to Arian, she couldn't give up a chance to go to that lake again. Doesn't matter what stands in her way now; she had a goal and that was to reach Arian lake! At least, once more anyway. |

Alexandria groans as she reaches the crossroads. She leans forward, panting heavily with fists tightly clutching the fabric over her bent knees. Valerie was standing a few paces away already, stretching calmly, but surely enough a smile plays across her lips. As she watches Alex intently. Finding that she was being gazed upon, Alexandria throws herself upright, pretending like running the last five and a half miles without a stop was easy. After all, it had been simple for Valerie, oddly enough. Alex takes a few stiff steps forward, thinking that her legs would simply give out from under her. It wasn't that she was out of shape, she just didn't actually run that often unless she was transformed. She had an awful endurance, anything beyond a sprint wore her out. Valerie couldn't help giggling at this, she was in the middle of stretching her right leg out straight in front of her, her arms extended to the toes as she leaned forward. Alex scoffed that she was laughing and quickly paced up behind her and with a light shove, pushed her onto her side as her balance was solely focused at her leg. Valerie releases herself from the position, wrapping her arms mid-fall around Alexandria's leg, dragging her down. With a 'Oomph', they were both in a twisted pile on the ground, Alex a tad irked as she feels a small warmth tingle down her cheek and knees. With her fingers she wipes away the small accumulation of blood caused by the grit of the road. She gently pushes her body away from Val, before standing up. Her gaze flits over her lover's body making sure she hadn't accidentally made her bleed. She was warmed by the fact that there were only some scuffing on the knees of her boots and her sleeves. "Val, this is it, right? Shouldn't they be here already?" Alex mumbles out questioningly as she takes her girl's hand and assists her in standing back up. With a slight grunt, Valerie pushes herself up, kinda bruised from having the larger Alexandria fall on top of her. She lays her head on Alex's slightly broad shoulders and thinks back to the vision, she hadn't really paid any attention to the time of day, but she had made out this crossing. "We're definitely at the right spot, that I saw at any rate. . . Maybe it was just directions to where we'd meet them?" she shies away from admitting that she didn't actually know what was going to happen exactly, she only had the compulsion that they'd meet someone on this path. ((OOC: Okay, this is just a little bit of what they are doing at they are waiting... I'm going to have one more post, not sure if they are just going to up and leave to wait in Arian cause she gets another vision of what. Depends on how long you two go on about whats going on between Group A and Mysterious Loner A)) |

Ooc: Uhhh.... does everyone have a second or third character? never mind sorry about the darkness thing i think i can fix that easilly enough. Ic: Mai stopped walking backwards as he realized that it was just dusk and not dark yet (Well.... that was an utter failure) Thought Mai as the two girls started saying something (What? now they want to come meet the stranger? hmph weird little girls) Mai then thought (What is that arm? that is what they the magic comes from?). Mai waited for the princess and the "Mercenary" To get close enough about 4-5 feet away then Staired the princess right in the eyes (Why am i doing this?) Thought Mai as he awaited there Response and awaited the old mans next action since he was obviusly not the weakest there the esiest to deal with would probably be the archer when they get close the other two mite be troublesim if this disolved it's way into fighting. |

((OOC: Well, Brovo and I both have two characters at this moment... then he has to control all the NPC's involved in his kingdom unless he grants permission to another... so basically he has his two regular characters in addition to two Kingdom NPCs... There is no limit to the number of characters one person can have... as long as they can roleplay with them so that they coincide with skill and adeptness. It becomes annoying easily when somebody botches their posts because they have trouble keeping them all in use smoothly.)) "Harrumph," Alex sighs out heavily, not knowing how to process what Valerie has said about her vision. "Look... I guess we should just wait here for the day. The travel to Arian from here shouldn't take all that long and if they left Renalta this morning they should get here relatively soon... Considering if they were not held up excessively by a series of unfortunate events," she logically concludes after she had given it a silent moment of thought. "Right, but suppose I get additional waking dreams, we will decipher and pursue them instead, right?" Valerie simply puts the tone of a question to seem more considerate; she didn't actually mean that Alexandria had any choice in the matter. Val would do what she wanted; if Alex chose not to go along, she would have the choice to split up until they were reunited. Not that the division would be that long in any instance. The pair had a plan for such cases as Alexandria knew that Bloody Val may have duties she must depart for as well as her own insistent ways of stubbornness. Yet on the flip-side to that coin should Alex need to take leave by herself in pursuit of her prey, they would still follow through with this when they each finished their task at hand. The plan of procedures was simple: "Meet up in the Renalta Tavern -- the booth in the darkest corner come night." Alex drapes her arms around Valerie's shoulders from behind, murmuring, "See, hun, here is the thing... you need not run off like that on your on your own should I not agree. I hate to leave and put your life into increased danger merely because I do not feel up to such a task due to beliefs or any other reasons for that matter. I will go with you no matter what, despite the fact that we have a back up plan for such instances." Shoving her love's arms off her, Valerie rolls her eyes and states, "Oh, shush, you are just enjoying your own voice right about now, Allie-girl." Expecting the small chuckle of jocular amusement from Alexandria, she lightly jabs her elbow into the wereleopard's ribs after the first few bubbly laughs. "Ow... you don't need to be so mean," Alexandria takes a few steps back and beams like her inner Cheshire cat, "And yes. Yes I was partaking in the luxury of hearing my own speech for a moment. Is that so wrong?" The teasing playfulness was dripping form her words like venom would dribble off a snake's deadly fang. Valerie opens her mouth and says, "Oh, you are such a buffoon at times... Are you sure you could still be such a vicious beast with all this silliness?" Though, all she actually managed to utter before she was gripped by a vision was, "Oh, you are ss--". Rolling grasslands lay before her eyes. her point of observation slowly glided over these flat fields. First she saw a farm, a small wooden pen holding in pigs that weren't pigs. These boars has great 'manes' and horns like those of a buffalo. They were in fact almost double the size of your ordinary hog, though. A laugh escapes her lips at the strange creature, despite odd being nothing new after considering her homeland. Her eyes are drawn away from the peaceful farm, skirting back over the flat prairies. She sees the forestation pick up to the sides of the level grasslands. The trees seemed barely older than saplings to her eyes, but she could never tell with the plants of these parts. The region was so very different to her foreign mind, but upon seeing the crystalline lake upon the horizon, glittering as it refracted sunlight upon its brilliant surface, she understood that it was the town of Arian. Her vision, the equivalent of a hawk's eye view at this moment, surveys the area: Logging Mills closer to the tree covered woods nearby -- homes and other buildings of log that appeared assembled with care and the intention of a permanent settlemen --, and in particular that lake that glistened ... and the farm farther down its banks; though several hundred off of its shores. It clued in fast as she spied the river passing through orchard nearby there that it was Alexandria's childhood home. From here it looked peaceful, though a tad worn-down from the neglect over the years. Her observing point shifted once more, this time it was upon the ground in the center of town. Looking south. Towards Renalta. Strange faces that she did not know appeared over the hill's crest first, slowly followed by their traveling bodies as they came into the town. She was about ready to memorize every single detail as she possibly could before the sight ended, but the world began to refract into a broken crystal -- like a kaleidoscope. The shattered vision soon begins to dim into a blinding white before fading into darkness. Alexandria hedp Valerie in her arms as she came back from her flash of the future. Soon enough Valerie was smiling, rather proud. "Love, its time we left for Arian already. We will meet these mysterious strangers there... I believe it was either near dawn or dusk as the light had that look... though it escapes me in which direction the sun was sitting." The grim expression of worry was parted by a soft smile that barely concealed her electric anticipation. She kisses her cheek and tries to settle Valerie's uneasiness of her self-competence, "Relax, Val. I knew we would land up heading there at some point. There is no need to fret over time. It is just one of the many possible futures. Though, it is the one we will see should we continue upon certain paths, but it is still only one possible variation..." A small giggle like a tinkling bell... "You ramble and make little sense... You really shouldn't relish listening to your own voice this much." |

Starting your day off with a heated discussion was, in Erics opinion very entertaining. This man in particular seemed to have a problem with his napping during the day and doings in the night. But his reason was different than others. Usually accused of being a thief or stalking someone Eric had anticipated the same response but the man had surprised him. He was the first to give him a warning. That was the main reason Eric chose to talk to him. If there was something that went bump in the night he would have loved to meet it, and he intended too. However, the man wouldn't stop pestering him about the dangers and as Eric denying the dangers until the conversation reached boiling point. "I keep tellin' you; you can't be sleeping at day cause the creatures be comin out at night!" "I keep telling you I can take care of myself! What kind of creatures are there out here anyway?" "Uhh... I ain’t ever seen them..." "Then what reason is there to believe they even exist?!" "I uhhh... know someone." "And where might this someone be." "DEAD! Ahahaha!" The man burst into laughter after that last bit, maybe he'd finally snapped, or maybe there was some amusement in a fellow’s death. Eric however saw the whole experience as distasteful and scowled at the man until his fit of laughter subsided. Don't say anything, don't say anything. He repeated in his mind coaxing the anger that welled up inside him. Pressing his hand against his forehead, and then combing it through his hair Eric tried to leave the man and the conversation with him. "Don't let those big bad monster get you." He called back wondering what the man would do before walking away. Another unusual occurrence as the man shouted warning after him, yet didn't move or acknowledge the comment. Waving a hand and ignoring the warnings Eric continued his walk. The lumber mill was interesting, but the chronic thump of ax against wood would drive the sanest of men to their end. The town was much different and he found it a much more pleasant place to walk about. People walked about chit chatting, none of them paying attention to the man with a bandaged arm that stole through the town. Nearing what he considered the middle, but was really the outskirts he wondered if anyone else would warn him of the beasties that go bump in the night. |

(Sorry if this seems disjointed and/or short but I'm writing this with only four hours of sleep in the past thirty six hours. xD I'm also, you know, starting to RP with another player so my expansive chapter-sized posts are probably going to end shortly. If not now.) Kouri glares at the strange man for a moment before stopping about eight feet away. All she wanted to do was get this over with and continue to be on her way to Arian. Mikan however walked past Kouri, planning on speaking with this man face to face. "So.. You wish to follow the Princess for adventure eh'.." Sighing lightly to herself, Mikan stopped about three feet away from the stranger. We can't have a group too big now.. We already allowed Tyrune to join us. What next? A Pirate, a Werecougar, and a man with a cursed arm? Mikan couldn't help but bring her left hand up to her forehead in slight irritation. Despite her calm and peaceful look, Mikan's legs are both slightly bent as if ready to kick and her right hand remained a balled up fist. Tyrune merely shakes his head out of a slightly unbelieving sight. So now you remain behind your protector.. When earlier you were shoving her aside and taunting her.. What was your goal in that, miss Kouri? Tyrune knew that the stranger posed no real threat. Even if he could defeat one of the group, there would still be two more with equal fighting capability.. Well maybe not quite equal. Tyrune remembered similar confrontations with these sorts of strangers. Remaining silent but ever weary of their surroundings. Despite being able to defeat him as a group.. If he caught any of us alone that would be a debatable scene indeed.. Tyrune thinks to himself as he yawns out of boredom. Unlike Kouri and Mikan, Tyrune has been through this situation many times before.. With the numbers reversed.. So this was nothing to him. Again however, the reason for actually following Kouri and Mikan eluded Tyrune. Maybe it would eventually come to him.. Maybe not. Either way at least he might be able to acquire better equipment out there. The stuff he could buy in the Kingdom of Renalta was almost garbage.. No.. Antiques! That simply would not do! Kouri listened to Tyrune's yawn; does this mean he's done this sort of thing before and is not afraid or even mildly excited? Kouri shrugged to herself as she kept a slight amount of magic in her arm. Maybe she could light a spark to start a fire with this little bit of magic in her arm.. Probably not. It was more just a comfort mechanism that Kouri would commonly do in order to feel safer. How long has she done this?.. How many years has she just subconsciously kept a tiny amount of magic in her arm to feel safer when she would walk out onto the street? Kouri did not know. All she knew was that there was this situation to get past in order to reach Arian.. More specifically.. It's lake. |

Ooc: Eh... sorry for my disjointed posts recently i have been recovering from being sick so i hope that because now i am better my posts will not be so disjointed and i can role play better. Ic: Mai Watched as the two girls walked up to him the Princess and the merc but what surprised Mai the most was that she was the one to stop 8 feet away not the merc with the bow no the merc kept coming a couple more feet before stopping and said. "So.. You wish to follow the Princess for adventure eh'.." Then Mai felt something the princess was channeling magic into her arm Mai shifted his wait so he could jump away if the Princess decided to grow violent. Then Mai heard the old man yawn obviously he had been through this kind of thing before. "Yes the world is fret with turmoil and a Princess is bound to run into something maybe i can do a litle good in this world before i go." (Hmph that should do the trick) Mai stood and waited there response as he yawned (It is getting late if this drags on much longer we will have to make camp here. Ooc: There i hope that this is better than the disjointed posts i have been making recently. |

((OOC: ITs okay, no one gives a damn what you guys are posting XD (j/k) But, ya. Its alright. Not like I'll be posting all that frequently anymore (atleast I don't think so!) Mm.... but if we have this blizzard that everyone is so worried about... it might be a few days : | but anyways... this is my last post until you guys arrive in Arian X3)) Alexandria and Valerie set out, Alex still brooding over the fact that she didn't want to walk anymore. Val jabs her in the ribs lightly as she hears another grumble escape her lips. "Allie-girl, relax. Its not that much farther -- besides, you do this all the time. You've walked across the entire country of Tuleria for Morrigan's sake!" "Yeah, yeah. . , I know, but this is just sooo dull... I mean, look at it this way! Normally I'm tracking down a monster -- and at the end of the pursuit, I know I am always going to catch him and have my good deed done. . . But THIS, this is just a chance happening, we have no idea what's going to happen," Alexandria tries to justify herself. Valerie stops walking, taking a deep breath and releasing it in a small sigh. "Why are you being such a pessimist? Show a little jibe in your step. You didn't whine like this back on the ship!" Alexandria doesn't bother to turn back, she continues to walk and rolls her eyes silently at the comment. "OH! I understand. . . You are just being a scaredy kitten about going back! Do you even think they are going to recognize you?" Val exclaims loudly before becoming somewhat intrigued. She usually didn't care about other people's lives. She could care less as it usually didnt affect her, but Alex's dark past? Sure, she had a short summary of it, but she didn't have any real details. Her curiosity was certainly piqued as she jogged to catch back up. "Look. . . It doesn't matter. Besides, I doubt it! I was always so covered with dirt and didn't take any pride whatsoever in my appearance! My hair was shorter than yours last time they saw me! I looked just like a boy. . . didn't help that I had this fixation about wearing handy-downs from my older brothers. . ." Alex laughs, remembering how silly she must have looked back then. That did it, Valerie now had more information -- and she hooked onto it as they continued to walk. "You had brothers, I didn't know that? How many? Any sisters?" Being an only child had irritated Val as she grew up, and she hated being a girl so often in a 'guy's' line of work as piracy is so often considered. No one ever expected to take over, but she managed to prove them wrong. "Mm, yeah. Three brothers, and my sister. . . all three boys were older than us, and I was about five years younger than Hannah. . . Still can't believe she married that Florince boy. . . He was such a jerk while we were younger!" she has a small smile that slowly flickers away as she remembers how she had alienated herself from the others. "Really, I miss Duke, Jackson, Hannah and Lex. . ." "Why don't you visit them?" Valerie cautiosly pushes for a few more tidbits. She wanted to understand Alexandria, and it was rare for her to talk about these things. "Eh, to tell the truth. . . The same reasons I don't want to go back to Arian. I killed mother and- and I don't think I can face up to them about it. . . They will probably try to kill me if they made me fess up about it, but if they think that something else killed her-- and me-- then they are going to want to know what happened. I really don't think I could lie to all them." her tone was quiet, almost mournful but there were traces of scorn there too. Valerie picked up on them, and it had her wondering what could be so wrong as to flare up her anger. Valerie smiles as she sees the town ahead -- less then a hundred feet. "Hey, I'll race you the rest of the way!" her playful tone enters her voice as she starts jogging ahead, looking back. Alex laughs at how random that had been and begins to run ahead. They raced side by side closer and closer, until the last 20 feet. Alex slows down to a stop and hesitates, wondering if she could truly break her pledge. Valerie continues to run until she reaches the edge of the town. She stops and turns back to look at Alexandria. She watches as Alex reaches into her backpack and pulls out the teddy bear. She hugs it tightly to her chest, before looking at it questioningly. Finally, she lifts it over her head and chucks it out into the forest that had drawn nearby. She runs after Valerie, and glomps her with a hug upon drawing closer. She gives her a genuine grin and kisses Val's cheek. Valerie grunts and shoves Alex off of her. "Gawd, you can be such a moose!" she complains before they head farther into town. |

(I will no longer do long posts due to slumping into a mood where I can't think creatively for some reason. Meh. It comes and goes. :3 Also sorry about taking so long to post again. Whole writer's block thing is bad enough, but I had to force myself into writing allllll that information for the Zombie Survival RP while fighting against a Writer's block. Dunno about the rest of you but that's really freaking hard. Oh and yes NotApplicable, I rushed our little conversation/introduction. Why? Because I don't wanna make ten posts where I'm going to be troubled enough as it is to create decently sized posts. Through no fault of your own either. Mostly just my personal preference.) Mikan grins from ear to ear as she leans in to an uncomfortable close face to face encounter with this rather mysterious stranger. "By 'doing a little good before I go' do you mean that you once didn't do the right things?" Tyrune sighs dejectedly as he sits down for a moment to think on the situation. He wasn't even worried anymore. He just wanted to continue the journey and get this silly little adventure started already, not have to worry about all these fussy little things. "Let him come along. What harm could this man be. There are three of us. We could easily handle him if something went wrong." Mikan leans back from the stranger to say in a raised, slightly annoyed tone of voice. "Would you take responsibility for this man then?" Tyrune sighs, hesitates a moment, then stands up and says in a surprisingly proud tone of voice. "I would." Tyrune knew the customs of these people well. After all he had only lived with them for over eighty seasons. To take responsibility for a man out here is to take responsibility for his every action, and also share in their consequences.. Should this man prove to be an evil force hellbent on harming the princess, then I will share the same fate as him.. Or, if I'm lucky, I will simply be banished back north. Oh well. Everyone has to die sometime. Besides, I can run away if I have to and they could never catch me.. The only question would be.. Would they even try? Tyrune's curious conversation in his head was quickly interrupted by Mikan's devilish grin. "So be it. He can accompany us.. But if he even looks at the prince-.. Err.. If he even looks at Kouri funny once.." Tyrune nods quietly before realizing that Mikan wasn't even looking in his direction, and was still only a couple feet away from the stranger. "I know I know. I've lived in this country for over twenty years. I know your traditions by now." Mikan stares at the stranger one last time with distrustful, but curious eyes before taking a few steps back to give the stranger some room. Kouri, this entire time, was daydreaming. She believed that her comrades could easily handle any violent situation that might occur. In this daydream Kouri is standing on the cliff side, overlooking Arian lake. The same cliff side she visited on the same day of every year since her sister, Myria, vanished and was never found again. This spot is one that is sacred to Kouri. After all, it was her sister that had shown it to her so long ago. . . Kouri! Wake up! Kouri opened her eyes slowly to find herself as a young girl again, lying underneath a purple-pink sky. Groaning lightly to herself Kouri sits up and rubs her eyes. Myria was standing only half a foot away, her purple eyes stared at Kouri with excitement almost appearing to threaten to overflow and explode from them at any moment. "You're going to miss the sunrise!" Kouri immediately jumped up and ran over to the very edge of the cliff. Out in the distance, sure enough, was red and orange in a circular pattern. The stars had vanished, and quietly the sun began to creep over the distant mountain ranges. Myria stood triumphantly above Kouri, grinning from ear to ear as she said in an excited and joyful tone of voice. "See? I told you the sunrise was perfect here!" Her sister's voice seemed to fade away as Kouri and Myria both laughed heartily to themselves. The daydream, and the laughing, quickly faded away as Kouri was brought back to reality through the ending of her daydream and through the movement of Mikan walking back from the stranger. Kouri also takes a couple steps back, realizing that she was on the edge of the dusty path. Turning towards Arian again, Kouri slightly smiles to herself as she starts to walk down the path to both the surprise of Tyrune and the annoyance of Mikan. "Well since that's taken care of, lets continue shall we?" Kouri moved at a leisurely slow pace, but would speed up back to a normal, maybe slightly rushed pace when the others caught up. She wasn't even ten feet away from Mikan anyway. Thunder rumbled in the distance as the dark cloud far to the West seemed to grow a little bigger, and a little closer. We have to move a little faster if we are to make it to Arian.. Kouri thinks to herself as her long blue hair sways in the light breeze. Edited by Brovo, Mar 30 2009, 01:19 AM.

Mai watched as the girl... Kouri walked away... a strange action basing it on how she was acting earlier (A strange woman there... I will have to be careful around her) Thought Mai as he fell in beside the Old man while they were walking and said “So... you are going to take Responsibility for me?” Before he got a Response he remembered a Conversation with the Friendly healer with whom he Never learned her name. ”Mai you shouldn't just lock yourself of from those who care about you...” Said the Friendly healer in concern “You know my past now and why I do it” Calmly said Mai in response “Yes but still... if you lock your self off close off your emotions you will never feel happy...” “If that is what it takes then so be it I will sacrifice my Happiness to protect others around me” Then the friendly healer stopped and looked at Mai with a Questioning look and said “Then why... why don't you just leave me at one of these towns? I'll tell you why... you know as well as I do that no one can just... Lock off there emotions... no one... Not even you Mai...” Mai stopped and looked at her for about half a minute before saying “Your right... no one can truly get rid of there emotions but people like me... we do what we have to... even if it means ignoring that which we cherish most... And also why do I not leave you at one of these towns? Well isn't it obvious by now? No matter when I get up you are already awake and dressed sometimes I think you do not even sleep.” The voices grew distant as my came back to Reality Mai was not sure if the old man had said something or not so Mai said “Sorry did you say something? I was Taeqi-Ithildinith” Mai kept on walking as he awaited the old Man's response. Ooc: sorry if this seems a bit Disjointed or Makes no sense it is 12:05 am here. Taeqi-Ithildinith (Ta-e-qwai-I-thil-di-nith) Means Day Dreaming I doubt the old Man would understand it but I think it is better if you all know what it means. |

(I wonder why I keep making posts at obnoxiously late hours..) Mikan follows Kouri quietly, and Tyrune follows at a steady ten to twenty paces behind Mikan and Kouri. He sensed that he was not trusted by Mikan, so it would probably be for the better to slowly gain her trust instead of just expecting it immediately.. That and.. Tyrune wasn't interested in getting an arrow in the back. Kouri simply walks along the dusty dirt path, her pace was a rather brisk walk. She didn't want to get caught out in the rain.. At least.. Not until she could be caught out in the rain near Arian lake.. Why were her thoughts so obsessed with that place? This was a rather serious question. She loved Arian lake, but normally not this much.. Not unless of course there was something she was afraid of.. Mikan puts both of her hands behind the back of her head, staying close to Kouri with her rather spunky attitude now returning. Mikan looks around the place.. It was rather pretty. Even if she had been here before, it was still nice to return to this place of quiet, calm, and solitude. Well, unless of course you visited the village. So many nice people there. Maybe that's why she was rarely sent on missions anywhere near Arian. Shrugging to herself Mikan hears thunder in the background once again. Looking behind her, the storm seemed to grow closer as the town edged up into clearly visible sight. It was still at least ten miles away, but they were getting closer.. Which was good because Mikan wanted a nice bed to rest in. Preferable one where she wouldn't be soaked before reaching it. Tyrune heard the thunder and quietly looked at his hands. Now that was a sound he was used to. Almost identical to the sound made when he uses his teleportation spells. Why it sounded like that was because magic gathers in both the place where he is and the place where he wants to go. The magic all violently gets dragged at speeds far beyond those of the speed of light to give the illusion of teleportation. The magic where he is propels him, the magic where he is going stops him. That is why there is a certain limit to his teleportation; he can't simply teleport to a place which has obstacles in the way, or which is out of his sight range. Hearing Mai speak to him, Tyrune at first ignored him. There wasn't really a point to speaking when he would likely be ignored. After a few moments he heard his new traveling companion speak again. "Sorry, did you say something? I was Taeqi-Ithildinith." Shaking his head in disbelief, Tyrune recognized that it was some form of Elvish. I don't recall seeing many Elvish around here.. The likelihood that he was born here is very minute then. I better keep an eye on this one.. Tyrune thinks to himself as a moment of hesitation passes by before he speaks. "When I take responsibility for you it means that every action you commit to I must suffer whatever consequences that those actions have. Meaning if you do something stupid or violent towards the Princess, both of our lives are forfeit." (Thank god for Mozilla spell checking.. Or half of this would be illegable right now. xD <- Example of Illegibility.) |

As Mai walked a breeze stirred a warning of the upcoming storm the breeze swept through the field causing the grass to shift and expose Dry earth yearning for the storm that was to come. Thunder clapped in the distance as the clouds rolled closer yet still were a distance away. The wind Blew past Mai shifting his cloak and causing his Sword hilt to be exposed to the light which then glinted off of it and Almost acted as a small light bulb for the second that it was exposed then Mai's cloak settled down just before another gust of wind causing the cloak to flair again for a second before dying down again. As the Wind flowed through the field small animals moved as well Grasshoppers made noise and Mice crept through the Field looking for food. The field was alive with activity if you looked close enough. Mai heard the old Man respond and then said "I know... i have lived in these lands for over twenty years i know these people's Traditions well... no matter how strange they may be" The last part came out as a Murmur While Mai resumed watching the Field around them |

Alexandria sits, propping herself up against the back of someone's house. She smiled softly at the breeze that coursed through the lands, sweeping up the scent of the fields, forests, and the oncoming rain. She sighs contentedly just as Valerie walks up, carrying something wrapped loosely in cloth. Alex opens one eye slightly and looks, "Hey, Val... Where did you head off to?" "Well, I thought you were napping. You looked so peaceful that I left you alone... Though, I figured you'd want something other than the tack and dried fruits and meats so I asked around and found this." she uncovers a bowl of stew still steaming. She crouches down carefully and passes it to Alexandria. Sniffing lightly, the wereleopard smiles warmly. "You got that at a two story house not that far away from this one... It should have a porch on the front with really beautiful woodwork... I can smell the ingredients... A friend of mine had this mom who made this incredible stew and they lived there..." Val was caught a tad off guard by this, double-taking. "Wow... but... its been like... what? 5 years and you can remember all that?" Alex shrugs slightly, "I guess I can." She lifts the bowl to her mouth and drink it with a slight nostalgia. If only that whole thing hadn't happened, this would still be my home... isn't it better that its not? That I've experienced all I have because I did not end up like Hannah, Duke, Lex, and Jack?... I'd just be another house mother! she thought quietly, even though it reflected slightly in her expression. "Be calm, Alex. You know... maybe they don't know what happened... Really, you should just relax and expect the likely. They won't want you dead and they won't treat you like a monster," her frantic voice let her foreign accent slip in more heavily than it normally would. This change makes Alex laugh lightly before she attended to her stew again. Valerie takes this chance to sit down next to her. "What of your sister? You were closer to her, right, so wouldn't you want the news that you are alive and a well grown lady to spread to her?" the ex-pirate pries slightly, wanting to edge her forward to accepting the fact that she needed to get used to this town. "Have you heard, there are rumors of monsters out in the forests!" they hear from someone not to far away, his voice booming like that of a trader. "Aye, I've heard, but let us get to the inn to talk. I'd hate to be caught up in this storm." If Alexandria had been a cat at that moment, her ears would be perked, trying to hear more. She snorts in distemper as she looks back the way they came, the sky was streaking a blood red as the sun set and the dark, angry looking clouds rolled in. A flash of lightning lit the far horizon and it took several seconds for the sound to reach them. Valerie lightly touches Alexandria's shoulder, "Allie-girl... we should prob'ly find somewhere for the night. Before the storm hits, atleast." Alex shrugs her hand away, still staring out there. She could see a group of people farther off in her mind she counted as each came over the crest of the last hill. One... two-three... four... and five.... from their silhouettes against the sky she could tell two things. One, they were not just here for some fanciful trip. Two, someone important was in the group. Her lips part as she murmurs to Valerie, "Just hold it... We wouldn't want the people we came all this way being the only ones caught in the rain, right?" She gradually pushes herself away from the house, standing upright. "You know... if you are going to have these visions and drag me around for them, atleast let me relax while we wait, alright?" Alex smiles while stretching eagerly, wondering who was in such company that they would have armed guards. |

(I'm forcing this writing. STILL haven't had any inspiration to write over the past couple of days. x.x) Mikan smiles to herself as the town quickly came into sight. Just run down a small hill and they would be in town; finally! None too soon either. Looking behind her as the thick, black cloud quickly approached it was only maybe five minutes away from pouring down on Arian. Most people in the town quickly began noticing this, and were going indoors. There really didn't seem to be that many travelers here as almost nobody approached the Inn. Oh well. At least that meant cheaper prices.. Or at least more beds. Mikan looks towards Kouri, and with a nod from Kouri Mikan puts both of her arms in front of her chest and lets out a small squeal of delight. "I'll have us some beds in no time! Maybe I won't get soaked after all!" Looking behind herself Mikan glares at Mai and Tyrune. "Don't do anything stupid or I'll rip off your arms and beat you with them." Apparently, despite Mikan's naturally curious nature, she really didn't trust the motives of these two strangers. Then again, who would. Tyrune glances at Kouri for a moment as they were already half way down the hillside. Seeing Mikan dash off to the Inn he looks up at the clouds to see lightning, and less than a second afterwords, thunder. This is going to be one heck of a storm.. Tyrune thinks to himself before clearing his throat and saying in an elderly tone of voice. "I best be following Mikan.. Old men like me shouldn't be caught out in the rain like this." With that, Tyrune starts dashing after Mikan. He wasn't nearly as fast though he might be able to get to the Inn without getting soaked. That would be a nice surprise. If not well.. At least he could say that he tried. The thought of teleporting to the Inn quickly popped in his head but Tyrune just as quickly swatted it away. There wasn't any point to scaring the hell out of these villagers. He was already known as an outsider anyway. Not that it deterred the friendliness of the townsfolk, but all of them knew that if something strange happened it was probably his fault. Last thing he needed was to repeat the exploding vial incident.. Kouri continued to walk by herself without Mikan and Tyrune. Mai was still behind her.. Although she didn't particularly trust Mai she could at least defend herself from his likely brutish and cold attack style. Reaching the bottom of the hill Kouri glanced around at the town. Almost everyone was inside.. Almost.. Except for a couple of women who looked like they glanced in her direction earlier when she and her 'comrades' got on top the hill. Putting both of her hands behind her head Kouri stretched a bit before proceeding to the lake. Even if she got soaked it was worth visiting that lake one more time--- Maybe she would sleep beside it again like old times. The lake was only a measly fifty feet away from Arian anyway. The town was built pretty well right beside the lake. However Kouri kept her eyes open for other people to be following her.. Like the two women who just didn't fit in with the rest of town. In any event she had to see the lake one more time. With her luck, Mikan would swoop in and drag her to the Inn to keep her 'safe'. At least it was remotely safe in times like these. I wonder where those two women went.. Kouri thinks to herself as she just enters town. Edited by Brovo, Apr 12 2009, 06:56 PM.

Alright, Allie, you goof... Just stay calm and you won't draw any attention to yourself. You are just another traveller passing through and no one will recognize you after all this time. Alex found her mind racing as she looked around calmly, entering through the thick wooden door at the same time as Val. She felt just in luck as the light pattering of rain droned against the wooden building. A slightly pleased smile curls across her face at the melodic sound. Valerie pinched Alex's arm and murmured quietly, "Hey... Don't get all dizzy, remember that we're waiting for them in here." Alexandria nods, trying to snap out of the tired daze it was putting her in. They calmly walk to the far off corner, farthest from the fire, yet next to a window. Valerie and Alex both remove their scabbards (and swords with them) from their loops within their belts and place them in a neat pile beneath the window's sill. Alex busies herself by looking it at the window, smiling slightly. It was barely even drizzling right now, yet a man who was running by had his coat pulled off and was using it as an umbrella of sorts to try and prevent getting wet. A nostalgic feel takes her. The man was tall and heavily built, in her mind she imagined it being her eldest brother, Duke. Valerie sat across the table, not noticing what Alexandria was doing, merely being vigilant upon watching the door, waiting to catch the face of everyone of those other travelers who were to come in following them. |

Mai walked down the hill not bothering to keep up with Mikan and Kouri, It started to drizzle lightly as Mai reached to bottom of the hill (I wonder if they where actually interested in us or just seeing travelers interested them?) Thought Mai as he walked a short ways into town where the inn was. When Mai walked into the inn the first thing he noticed was the to Girls sitting in the corner of the room. Quickly looking around the room Mai chooses the table in the corner across from the two who had been looking at him and the others and luckily ended up with a window Mai always had liked the rain. Mai waited for a Woman who he Presumed was to take his order asked if he would like anything and Mai responded by saying "A glass of water would be nice" The woman then left and Mai resumed looking out the window while keeping and eye on the rest of the inn Mai would know if someone walked up to him. |

(Just because I've been avoiding this for some reason I thought I'd give the treat of giving you a full post. Enjoy.) Mikan bursts into the Inn head first, barely avoiding the rain that started to fall. Her long green hair was only damp luckily. Sighing in relief and walking over to the counter of the Inn Mikan asks in a polite tone of voice. "Hello, my name is Mikan and I am with the Black Brigade." The entire Inn stops what it's doing for a moment as they heard the two words "Black Brigade" in conjunction with "I am with the" making all of them fret about trouble which could be nearby. Mikan realizes this, and ignores it. "I'm here to rent a room for myself, an elderly man, and the diplomat which I am escorting to another kingdom." The Innkeeper nods slowly as his wife comes out from behind the counter with a keg of beer. Mikan noticed something out of the corner of her eye--- the Keg had a claw mark on it. Not deep enough to destroy the keg, but it was long and it had the trademark three claws of a wolf. I'll need a distraction.. Mikan thinks to herself as she shouts across to the entire Inn, which only had a sum of about ten people in it. "Go on! Continue with whatever festivities you were obviously committing to! I am on a low priority mission, there is absolutely nothing to worry about." The rest of the Inn hesitates for a moment before cheering upon hearing Mikan utter the following words. "One round is on the house!" Tyrune bursts into the Inn at that very moment, soaked to the bone yet remaining quite warm. The weather was still very warm despite having a thunderstorm overhead. Sighing in relief Tyrune sits down at a seat with a metal plague on it. The plague reads: "Dedicated to Tyrune." Short, simple, and sweet. The Innkeeper's wife smiles brightly as she says in a happy tone of voice. "Want me to bring them in here?" Tyrune nods as a sly smile comes across his face. The Innkeeper's wife goes into a room behind the counter for a moment before bringing out two children. Both boys, close brothers separated obviously only by a couple years. The slightly taller, and presumable older of the two had slick black hair and a smile. There was a scar across his throat, and despite the yips of joy that his little brother made he remained silent. Presumable something was wrong with his voice box. They were both young tweens. Not teenagers, not young children. Almost old enough to help with the family business. Looking over at Mikan for a moment Tyrune saw the rather concerned expression shown in her eyes. It was so obvious it was almost sad. The older of the two children ran over to Tyrune as he slid off his chair to greet the young lad. Mikan then heard another person enter the Inn--- Was it Kouri? Turning around to look at the door she sighed in slight annoyance and dismay. It's just that guy.. Mikan thinks to herself as Mai sits down in the corner and asks for something to drink from an obviously overly drunk lady. The lady walks away, likely insulted with having been treated like a waitress of some sort. This is an Inn you idiot you go and get it yourself.. Mikan thinks to herself before hearing Tyrune fall off his chair. Apparently the children also liked to play a game of tackle and tickle. Tyrune really didn't mind however, after all, he saved the older child's life once from a wolf. Just a regular wolf all alone didn't prove to be of much trouble, and he saved a child's life. ------ Kouri walked by herself now as everyone else had either run off or vanished. Bringing both of her arms up to her chest and clasping her hands together Kouri couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. Stepping out of town it began to rain, oh well a little rain never hurt anybody. Stepping a few feet away Kouri was just a couple feet away from the shoreline of Arian lake. So crystalline blue, so wonderfully beautiful even in the rain.. No, especially in the rain. Kneeling down in her long blue dress and putting both of her hands onto her thighs Kouri merely watched the rain fall into the lake. It was the only place she really had all to herself, the one place of solitude and peace. Just as her sister once showed her.. Long ago. ---Daydream--- Kouri was following her sister, it was almost dawn and they were heading to the lake. "Sister it's so late.. I hope this is as pretty as you say it is." Her older sister nodded and smiled before reaching the lakeside. Sitting down Myria's unusual purple eyes stared straight into her sister's eyes. Kouri obediently sat down beside her sister, both of them peering to the East. Kouri sat impatiently, but was remaining quiet as her older sister Myria stared off with silent, almost depressing eyes. "Sister, is something wrong?" Myria shook her head, merely pointing towards the East as the sun began to rise. The first rays reflected off the water, and had the effect of making everything sparkle brightly for a few seconds before fading away as Kouri's young eyes adjusted to the beautiful situation before her. "Woaaaaaaaooowww.." Kouri says in an amazed tone of voice before Myria looks at her in the eyes and smiles kindly. Kouri smiles as well before letting her weary body slowly drift to sleep. Her eyes drooped, her head slowly leaned to the right as she leaned on her older sister. This would be one of the greatest memories she would ever have. ---Real World--- The memory ended, and Kouri sighed sadly. It was a real shame that her sister had suddenly vanished.. She was the only person Kouri had ever really trusted. Sure she loved her family, but did she actually trust them?.. The answer that Kouri came to was the same answer as always: Of course she did. Why couldn't she trust them? Yet she always trusted Myria more... Soon enough though, Kouri would be on an adventure that would make her older sister proud. I know your out there somewhere.. and I just want you to know that in your place I'll help our kingdom grow and prosper. In your memory sister.. Kouri thought this as the rain soaked her dark blue hair and blue dress. It was a small price to pay to see her sister again.. Even if it was only in a memory. |

What had at first been a minuscule shower had escalated to a thunderstorm. With help from the winds it positioned itself over the town and let loose, drenching everyone caught outside and blasting it bolts down at the ground, towards the townsfolk. Eric was one of the unlucky that hadn't noticed the signs and taken shelter. Soaked to the bone he sighed, it would be pointless to stay outside, but he hadn't anywhere to go to take shelter either. With no choice he continued his stroll under the heavy rain, passing the inn, which he took for a large home and continuing. Finally, after cursing his luck hundreds of times Eric reached the lake. "Out of the pot and into the fir...." He trailed off, his voice too low amongst the pitter pattering of the rain to be heard. Looking out over the lake he vouched on jumping in, after all rain can't get you wet if you're already wet. Taking a few steps towards the lake Eric stopped immediately with the flash of lightning, and a moment later the crackle of thunder. It wasn't the fear of being electrocuted, it was the silhouette that froze his feet. "Who would be crazy enou-." He was cut off short by a flash of lighting, followed by the boom within the second. This really wasn't the safest of places to be.Cautiously he crept up behind the silhouette, unsure if it was human, monster or just him seeing things. The wet grass below and the heavy rainfall both covered his tracks well enough, that he went unheard by all without acute hearing. Reaching out to the thing his fingers grazed the backside of it, invoking an immediate reaction. ((Yeah I just metagamed, got a problem with it?)) Edited by Spades, Apr 21 2009, 03:34 AM.

((OOC: *cough* err-hrmm... Robert, you used to have two royalty in your procession X3 ... what happened to the little guardian sister?)) Valerie puzzles over why there were people missing from the building after a moment. The storm had picked up, enough that every time the great cymbal-like crash of thunder would sound and vibrate the very ground, Alexandria would jump in fear. Val thinks quietly to herself, "There were more... Two women, if I remember right... and one of them was definitely the person they were transporting, but why did they let her go off on her own, or even with just one person if she's that important?" Alexandria continues to gaze out the window, even though the pelting rain had made it nigh impossible to see out of it. With a slow sigh she stands up and begins to walk away. Valerie, being so caught up in these strangers, fails to notice even as she walks out of the door and begins to head towards the lake solemnly. "This isn't my home... it hasn't been for many, many moons... but... why do I want to stay here so badly?" she thinks sadly to herself, hoping an answer might come. What she hadn't expected to hear was a quiet whisper in her head back. A whisper dripping with venom and darkness but also honey in its suave. "Child, why do you fear so much? Do as you wish, remove the shackles of your life. Stop trying to be the hero when you can never truly be one, not ever in the eyes of those who see you for what you are... a disturbing beast that many only dream of in their nightmares." Tears gradually begin to flow down Alex's cheeks as she walks closer to the lake, though to anyone else it would be impossible to tell in such conditions. Whimpering, she hears the voice return, " "Alexandria, why don't you just go to your home and accept that you are a monster? Why haven't you accepted those sweet temptations of your corrupted heart and slaughtered all those that get in your way of bliss?" Her heart skips a beat as she realizes that this luring talk was making sense to her addled mind. Her hair lays flat against her face, obscuring parts of her vision as she sees two people. She thinks about it, considering going and bothering there time, but she ignores them, walking farther down the banks as a slight white film washes up near her feet from the disturbed water. She is startled as less than 20 feet away a fat bolt of lightning slices the sky violently and strikes a tall tree, bursting it into flames. The fire failed to last long under the heavy rain, but it still succeeded in striking terror into her heart as she began to run for her childhood home. Vines ran up the walls thickly. The forest had overtaken much of the farmland and the house looked more like it had been abandoned for many decades, not less than one. The walls were crumbling down near one side closest to her where a tree had decided to take root and had quickly grown tall. Another flash of lightning near by lights the inside of the building, making a few small forest animals scatter in their blight of fear. She steps in, hearing a crackling as she steps unknowingly upon a window that had long ago fallen out and had since been coated by forestation. She continues forward, entering through the splintered door. A flash of herself and her father playing around when she was young skipped through her mind for an instant. It was replaced quickly by the horror of her mother's body ripped to pieces and blood strewn all over the walls. This vision stops, showing the house for what it now was... in ruins and still revealing patches of blood behind the overgrowth. She falls to her knees, weeping on on one of the only patches of floor left, rain lightly drizzling on her through the patchy and partially gone roof. In her head she heard screams of her mother, pleading and asking for her life, trying to defend herself against her mental image of herself as that deranged animal. Alex felt as if her own human hands were the claws tearing the mother she had always loved to bits before her eyes. She screams for it to stop, feeling once more like she was helpless to stop herself in this daydream that seemed all too real. She breathes heavily on her knees, face pressed to the ground as she clutches her sides. Another flash of lightning reveals a shadow of a man cast down from behind her. All goes dark for a moment, and when the lightning next flashes he has disappeared. Valerie sighs, noting that the girl with green hair was the only one purchasing rooms for the night. Another was an older looking gentleman who seemed to be having a tickle-fight with what she supposed might actually be his own children. The final that she spotted was a shady looking man who she had taken notice of watching her and Alexandria. She figured he had been observant enough to not only see the two of them, but to also to realize that they were in fact the same two women. She stands up from the wooden bench of the booth and walks silently over to who she guessed might be the 'leader' of sorts of the party, lightly tapping her shoulder she smiles. "Hi, I'm new here, do you know any interesting sights around here? See, me and my friend came here from Tu...ler...i..a..." her eyes widen slightly as when she had said friend she had motioned back towards where she had been sitting. She had only just then realized that Alex had ran off somewhere. "Oh, no... Where could she have gone off to in this weather?!" She bites her bottom lip, almost on the brink of a panic attack at not being at the wereleopard's side for the first time in ages. ((OOC pt. 2: Heeeey! Finished ^_^ If you had begun reading it before, I only added the bit after the pretty-pretty line : P Soo, have fun and thankee for your patience! <3)) |

Kaira sang in the Elven tongue as she walked down the road in town slowly smiling and drinking from a bottle every so often. She laughed as some children walked by before suddenly grabbing one roughly by the shoulder. "Let me go!" the small boy cried as she shook him angrily, "My coins. Now." she said venomously holding out her other hand as the child dropped a small pouch in it. She lifted the child off the ground as she attached the pouch back to her belt, before bringing her fist into his stomach and dropping him on the ground to writhe in pain, and walking over to the inn with a chuckle. ____________________________________________________________________________ She walked into the inn and looked about before sitting down in a nearby chair and observing the old man being tickled for a moment before turning her gaze onto the pair of women in the room, and relaxing into her chair. ((I don't have long, so I'll type up what I can. Also changing my typing style. Oh yeah and Kouri's sister left back in the city of Renalta.. xD She just wanted to make sure that Kouri and Mikan would get together before sending them off. It was also for their final goodbye at the gate. Also, I'm not sure how much I can do with Tyrune right now so.. Sorry if Tyrune's section is a little short. xD)) Kouri Kouri smiles to herself as the rain continued to soak her and the ground around her. It created a light mist, one which reminded her again of times long gone and people long since past. It was at that one moment that something touched her back. Lighting her right hand aflame she goes from her legs underneath her position to her feet on the ground, quickly hopping onto her feet by pushing her knees into the ground to bring her knees, ankles, and feet higher. As she did this she turned around, looking towards the unknown person. It looked like a man, although she couldn't be sure in the first second or two of rain. Her right hand seemed to just instantly turn the rain into steam upon the slightest touch, she wasn't playing around. Nobody is here to protect me now.. This means I have to be cautious even here.. Kouri thinks to herself as the unknown person finally came to be recognized as a man. Relaxing a bit, but keeping her right hand 'lit', Kouri says in a cautious and a little annoyed tone of voice. "I am Princess Kouri and I demand to know who it is that catches me off guard." Her usually relaxed tone of voice was also replaced with a more official tone. Again, Mikan was not around to help her, nor was Tyrune or even Mai. Lightning lit up the area as the clouds became seemingly darker than black. The rain got harder as a feeling of slight dread crossed into Kouri's heart. If this was an intruder, her fire attacks would be almost useless in this heavy rainfall. At least the ranged ones anyway. Which made her.. A Damsel in distress.. Just like her older sister was right before she was taken away.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mikan Mikan quietly eyed the keg filled with alcohol. It had a claw mark on it, probably from a wolf. Upon hearing the younger of the two children laugh as he and his older brother tickled Tyrune, she made a quick inquiry as to what was going on. "The wolf's claw mark.." The Innkeeper noticed the curious tone in which Mikan used, and answered in a quiet voice. "Yes, a wolf once attacked our Inn. The wolf severely injured our first born son, and if it wasn't for that old friend of yours over there he would have died. Even if he can't speak, it's still a miracle that he is even alive today.." Mikan opened her eyes widely at that comment. It became clear in that moment, that Tyrune was in fact completely truthful to them all along. That he was trustworthy, especially if he saved a child's life at the risk of his own. Looking curiously towards Tyrune, she smiled. For once she not only had her gut feeling, but evidence to support that someone else she was traveling with was truly a kind soul. It would be interesting to see however if he would help them in their hour of need. Before Mikan could fully think things through however, a light tap on her shoulder broke her train of thought. Turning around to see a stranger look at her she spoke with such a suave tone of voice. Hm.. Sounds rather confident and friendly. Like a rogue or a bard.. She thinks to herself as she decides that this person is likely try and get her money in some way. However before she could respond she watched as the stranger quickly slowed and stutter upon saying "Tu...ler...i..a..." in an almost automatic response Mikan tensed up a bit. As the woman finished speaking, Mikan quietly slid out of her chair and stood in a respectful, almost military-like manner. "I am a part of the Black Brigade and I could easily help you find your friend." Hesitating a moment a look of slight irritation crosses her face before she says in a raised tone of voice to Tyrune. "Go to the lake and find Kouri. One of us has to protect her and as you can see I may be a little busy.." She sees Tyrune nod before standing up and getting the children to go back to the Innkeeper. Mikan then turns back to the stranger and continues. "Just tell me, does your friend have a home nearby or some place sacred to her miss.." Already acting chivalrous and she didn't even know the name of the person she was helping. It felt good regardless to know that she was helping someone. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tyrune Tyrune was tackled to the ground and quickly tickled by the two brothers. Even if the older brother couldn't laugh and cheer like his younger brother, Tyrune could still see the bright spark of happiness in his eyes. Ahh.. Youthful optimism.. Tyrune thinks to himself as his fake laughter was heard throughout the Inn. Some people probably thought of him as a strange, creepy old man who's ideas on the healing properties of the lake were just absurd and illogical. Oh well. At least this Inn liked him even if the rest of town thought he was sort of creepy. Upon hearing Mikan's orders he quickly got the children off of him and sent them back towards the Innkeeper. Nodding towards Mikan he stands up and walks out the door. He could get some sleep later. Now was his chance to earn Mikan's trust, and that seemed to be one of the hardest things one could gain. So out the door he went, and off towards the lake. It wouldn't be hard to find Kouri would it? After all.. The sweet scent of magic was in the air.. That was something that was depraved of in this small town. Sure there was a little bit of magic every now and again but nothing on the magnitude of this.. It felt familiar as well. Taking off into a dash Tyrune would get to the lake as quickly as he could.. Which wouldn't be awful quick, but it would be better then just walking. Especially in this heavy rain.. |

Mai stood a small ways away from Kouri to far for her to see him though or the other man there. Mai could barely just barely make them out for himself and the only reason he knew it was Kouri was because of that strange aura of Magic around her. How long had Mai been there? 5 minutes maybe? he had really made a fool of himself back at that inn (When people walk up to you and ask what you want? what els was i supposed to say? well i will have to think it over for next time.) Mai didn't really like inns that much but he did suspect that this was not the last they would visit in there journey. The person that appeared to be a man touched Kouri in the back and she appeared to be startled by him and started channeling magic. (Hmmm i wonder what he wants?) Mai prepared to make a dash if this turned ugly. But Mai did not think it would because if the person wanted to hurt Kouri he was have hit her over the head not lightly touched her back. |

Eric pulled back the second the figure moved. Instinctive perhaps he wasn't sure what had compelled him to do so at first. When fire lit her hand he knew. "Damned magicians" He cursed under his breath. Thrusting his left arm towards her flaming on he grabbed it, and watched the flames lick the bandages around his arm. A vile smile crept onto his drenched face and he looked down at the princess, into her eyes, battling with a great force whether or not to attack her. Wrenching back his arm Eric glared at her. It didn't hurt, in fact the rain had a greater presence than the fire. Clenching his hands into fists he took another step back. "Either your naive or stupid." He commented on her question, "Do you really have time to ask someones name? What if I was an assassin, eh Princess?" He mocked her, finding a sick joy in it. Still, he knew she was at an advantage. He'd left nearly everything he'd owned back at the inn. Perhaps it was the drinks, or perhaps he was unwilling to share any time with the green haired woman that barged in. ((Sorry for short post, sick = writers block. Will try to get the next ones up in length, and stuff...)) |
