Trying to breathe a little life into the VG forum outside of the LP section, I will post this challenge to all of FAN. DL Dungeon Crawl, from Stone Soup Forge (get the tiled version, as the ASCII version hurts the brain) and post your best scores, hilarious antics, etc. here. "But, Dietaku," you ask, "What the hell is this, and why play it if I'll only die?" My answer: Dungeon Crawl is a single person RPG sim of old school DnD. You play as one character, and have to recover an item of immense power. Howeve,r no one I know of has done so, let alone come back with it. Thus, the game is oddly addictive in a "see how far you can go" sort of way. Besides, its free AND well made, which is a cut above most video game RPGs on platform consoles right now, so give it a shot! So far, my best character was Bob the minotaur barbarian. he got to level 8 before getting gangbanged by a number of trolls around level 5 of the dungeon. My current character, Dieten the mage, is here. She's not that strong, but has been oneshotting hobgoblins like crazy, so she has potential. So, go forth, and post, mah peepz!

My first and second attempts at the game ended in tears. My 3rd - Bill the Dragoon - was much more successful, until he was attacked by a dozen or so snakes at the same time. My 4th - Fred the Paladin - was jumped by a Giant Ant who Natural 20'd Fred and disemboweled him before I even realized it was there. Rest in peace, Fred.
