The reverberations of his footsteps echoed through the infinite corridors as his head swiveled, searching for his opponent. As his shoes repeatedly came into and lost contact with the ground, he noticed a slight change in decoration. Sitting lazily in a chair was Daniel, a Dimensional Traveler whom Sirocco knew quite well, and not from reputation.

The wind warrior waved to the seemingly careless fighter as his toes lifted off of the ground. His body began to rotate in a manner similar to that of the hands of a clock as he inverted himself. Immediately, the blood began to reverse direction like the sands in an hourglass, and approached a common destination, Sirocco's head.

"Ready when you are." He spoke calmly, with a new tone of voice. It was apparent that he had been training in a distant place, and he was now improved for the better. "Oh," he added, "sorry in advance if I destroy the mansion. I'm currently working on power control."

Daniel took notice of Sirocco's arrival and listened to what he said. Destroy the mansion, huh? Daniel laughed and stood.

"This place is pretty resilient, but it's no big deal if it gets a little damaged. Anyways, let's begin!"

Daniel formed a simple energy ball and threw it at Sirocco.

Awkward, isn't it?

Silently, Sirocco displaced air around his right arm in the shape of a shield. It covered the area ranging from the back of his right hand to halfway up his forearm. As the sphere of hastily crafted energy made its way over, Sirocco merely lowered his right arm and deflected the ball with an effortless gesture.

"A weak opening." Sirocco thought to himself as his speed increased to fifteen miles per hour. He was now heading straight towards his opponent; his body still inverted. As the temporary hand shield made its exit, another manifestation of the air made its presence known. The headband which coiled itself around Sirocco's head began to emanate a slight glow as an arm and hand composed entirely of displaced air formed. It rooted itself on the headband.

At this point, Sirocco had reached striking distance of his opponent. Not waiting for another offensive attempt on their part, his left foot came down from above Daniel's head in an attempt to strike him, or at least to get his hands to rise into the air.

The real assault arrived in the form of a tripping motion made by the solid Third Arm Wind. The hand flattened itself and its fingers, and performed a horizontal chopping motion, which was aimed at the outside of Daniel's left ankle. Sirocco's opponent was given about one and a quarter seconds to act, from the time the sphere was deflected to the moment of the double strike.

Get used to it.

Daniel grinned as he saw Sirocco easily block the attack and come right towards him at amazing speed.

'Perfect.' he thought. Sirocco came from above and brought his foot down to strike him. He brought both arms up to block, while the Third Arm Wind came from the side and struck his ankle. He buckled a bit from the blow, but it wouldn't deter him.

"It's time! THUNDER AURA!"

Daniel unleashed a wide electrical aura around himself and Sirocco, with a 15 feet radius.

"Let's see how well you can evade in such a tight spot!" Daniel announced, bringing his good leg up and going for a kick to the stomach.

The initial assault was a success. Daniel had taken the bait and decided to raise his arms to block the kick, but had left himself open to the strike from the third arm wind, one which would likely dislocate his ankle given he had normal human properties. However, he didn't appear to be all too fazed or impressed. But Sirocco knew he wouldn't win with a few petty hand to hand tricks. No, he was required to completely outclass his opponent before a victory would arrive.

Immediately after Sirocco felt his foot impact Daniel's arms, he stiffened his ankle and raised his foot a little to create a natural curve, which wrapped around what was estimated to be seventy degrees of the defending forearm. With his anchor limb in place, Sirocco moved his right hand downward onto the ground while he raised his fingers to create the desired forty five degree angle he would need. With his left palm facing the ground, Sirocco unleashed a blast of air, some of which blew towards Daniel at a decent speed. The combination of the anchor foot and the air blast caused Sirocco to raise himself directly above and about five feet behind his opponent, while also allowing him to turn himself right side up. This process alone consumed an entire second or more, but proved to be well worth the time.

The lengthy maneuver gave Sirocco a positional advantage over his opponent for the moment. However, he wouldn't be able to take advantage of it immediately, as Daniel had began to announce his attack; a foolish idea which would cost him energy and time, two valuable resources which a fighter was never to squander.

"It's time! THUNDER AURA!" Daniel boomed. From previous encounters with Daniel's style, Sirocco knew exactly how the attack operated, how long it took to perform, and how to defend from such a maneuver.

And defend he did. As Daniel began to gather the required energy for his technique, the third arm wind had de-solidified for a brief moment to allow itself to reach Sirocco with ease. It then reformed as a fortified sphere, which Sirocco backed with a thin vacuum of sorts in order to prevent any electrical charges from entering.

Although the technique required large amounts of energy, it was necessary to use such a defense in such short quarters. The response proved effective; Sirocco and the area inside the sphere remained untouched by the massive electric aura which consumed a wide area. Thunderbolts shot in every which way, zapping walls, floors, ceilings, and sometimes merely dispersing into thin air.

"He's getting stronger," Sirocco noted to himself as the aura consumed the area which they combated in, "But he still appears to lack finesse with his technique." He awaited his opponent's next move. Although the sphere and the vacuum within could be held for a few seconds, it was not a defense created for long term usage, and proved to be exhausting after multiple uses. Thus, Sirocco proved very interested in Daniel's response.

'Sirocco knows the risks of this move' Daniel thought to himself 'But he doesn't know the flexibility of it when I use my mind....'

Daniel looked behind him. Sirocco was there. He was fast, no mistaking that. Daniel chuckled softly, and then turn and jumped, flipping himself over in midair and bringing his foot, now charging with electricity towards Sirocco, aiming for his opponent's Lower Torso.

A Direct hit wasn't even necessary. All that was needed was to knock him back. There wasn't enough room in the boundaries of the Aura to dodge that effectively. Of course, Daniel knew his opponent well. He could do it. Which is why he had a back up plan. The Aura hadn't done anything to him yet but he knew he wouldn't have much time before the aura started to drain him a bit....

'Let's see, Sirocco. Can you stop me this time?' He thought to himself.

As Sirocco monitored his opponent for signs of a follow up technique, he contracted the area of both the physical barrier formed by the third arm wind, and the vacuum which proved to be under his direct conscious control. In less than half a second, the dual layered sphere of protection had shrank to barely seven feet in diameter. The decreased area allowed Sirocco to gain better control over the entire entity, and as such, could defend from much more potent assaults due to decreased surface area.

By this time, Daniel had inverted himself in the air. The electrical disruptions were now centralized around a single vicinity; the man's lower left limb now cracked with a formidable thunderous charge, likely capable of leveling an entire room provided the strike was well placed. At once, Sirocco gathered the solid area of the third arm wind, and formed it into a five foot square of solid displaced air.

At this precise chronological point, gravity had already began to assist Daniel in empowering his attack by pulling him back down towards the ground, and Sirocco. Just before the kick connected, Sirocco shot the solid barrier he had formed upwards with a roar in order to connect with Daniel's lightning kick, and prevent it from progressing any further. The two forces collided with a massive bang which caused the windows throughout the entire building to quake with fear. A light shock wave also emitted from the point of impact as Sirocco struggled to sustain the barrier's life long enough for Daniel to either fall over or run out of energy. Either way, one of the two forces would have to give at some point, and Sirocco knew that whoever lost would find themselves hard pressed to continue fighting.

Daniel watched in shock and annoyance as Sirocco prepared a shield to block the attack. It was breakable, certainly, but not easily so. Furthermore, Daniel was losing his momentum and was going to fall soon. He needed a plan....and he formed one.

Daniel brought his hands facing towards the ground.

"CHAOS SWIRL!" He called out, as a beam of energy erupted from his hands, striking the ground. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Daniel's kick was now backed by the force of the Chaos Swirl pushing him forward. Everything was going well now...he just needed to strike him hard enough once and the fight would be in his favor. Unfortunately, the Aura is now slowly starting to drain Daniel....

Sirocco knew he was in a dire situation. He had reached his maximum subconscious strength. The gemstone on his headband was glowing a bright turquoise, and the barrier he had formed was already beginning to crack and fade, due to an increase in momentum on Daniel's part. Thankfully, Sirocco wasn't the only one feeling the strain of the struggle; he could see the electric charge around Daniel's foot beginning to weaken as well. The air in the room began to circulate rapidly as the sparks continued to crackle in midair. Curtains furiously blew to one side, lamps and pictures fell off of the furniture and shattered on the floor, and a few small objects were caught up in the invisible currents which easily topped ninety miles per hour.

The sheer force of the opposing forces alone could cause the loser of the power struggle to lose the fight and become seriously injured, or even killed. And it appeared as if Sirocco would give in soon. Indeed, his left knee gave way as it bumped against the floor, and a small bolt of pain ran through his body. The wind warrior also noticed he was sliding backwards due to Daniel's increased efforts. But he wouldn't give up. Especially not when he could still funnel his conscious efforts into the struggle. He had more to give, and he wouldn't hold back an ounce of power.

As the veins on his head and arms began to bulge, Sirocco started to inhale a deep breath. His arms were extended straight forwards in order to keep the barrier in place, which was rooted to his headband. The cracks slowly began to grow as the rug beneath the two fighters commenced crumpling into a heap, due to the continuous momentum. Finally, after about a second and a half, Sirocco had all the air he needed in his lungs, super compressed due to his manipulation abilities.

The vacuum he had created earlier was now hugging his body, and barely staying alive. Sparks advanced farther and farther in towards the wind warrior, but that didn't matter now. His next move was ready to go, and just in time.

Immediately, Sirocco released the pent up energy in his lungs. A horrific, high-pitched scream emitted from his mouth as the cracks in the barrier disappeared. The fortification behind the barrier was now empowered beyond what it had originally been, and the ear-shattering scream possessed the potential to throw Daniel's focus off by just the slightest bit, which could cause him to lose the struggle. The breath wouldn't last forever; Sirocco knew he needed to overpower Daniel in the next ten seconds or so, or else he would have to drop back to desperate measures in order to stay alive.
