Shade leaped to his right and rolled in order to avoid the cone. He then stood up and retracted the shadow that had clashed with the magic mirror that the creature now held. "If you're so interested in what I am," Shade unsheathed a second mirror knife, this time in his left hand, "then I'll tell you. In due time, of course." He strafed behind his opponent, and then dashed up to him and attempted to stab him in the back. He found his opponent's abilities to be less than interesting; typical magic abilities were not so common nowadays but were insanely popular when Shade was first created. However, the fact that he was conversing with his opponent as he was fighting him was quite intriguing. In his mind, he saw a smaller version of himself in lives past, the kind of person that always wanted to do good and keep those that chose the path of evil at bay. And for just a split second, he felt as if he should be doing good again, until he mentally slapped himself and realized that he was in the middle of a fight. But still... |

The Deputy of Common Sense

Thilatyl turned around to face his opponent, and as his opponent lunged to stab him, Thilatyl pulled out his rapier and swung at the knife, and caught it on the blade's hilt. He then jumped back, but still in close quarters. His magic mirror on his left hand dispersed, as his hand started to glow a bright, deep blue, and started to buzz slightly. He shook his head, then stared at his opponent. "You're yet to prove that you're anything but a mindless murderer." He sighed as he remembered the pile of bodies that he had to see. "I'm surprised that your reputation has not caught up with you, if you do this for *amusement*!" As he spoke amusement, as if it were a word of power, he pointed his left hand at Shade, with his rapier in a defensive position, steady in his right hand. Out from his left hand burst a cone of electrical energy, a cone filled with bolts of electricity, launched at close range, and rushing towards Shade. (Cone has 30/30 degree arcs, vertical/horizontal) |
