Ah, he looks great, and I really dig that tiger hunter demon, especially considering Szoreny's habit of personally spending all of his time and energy obsessing over killing one or two people.

I'll try my hand at making a few demons later, especially considering that I'd like to make this a game where I can flex my muscles with Infernals. Poor guys. They're my favorite Exalt type and I can never use them because of various things, like Vince's love of Creation's MIB, which would make playing one...awkward.

This could easily be solved with an Infernal and akuma game. Just sayin'.

I'd love to, but I doubt it would be right in this instance, as I don't want to scare my new players away, as the Infernals book is, ah, pretty explicit, especially about the initiation ceremonies the GSPs go through, in the "Ligier touched me in my no-no place, and then Malfeas' component souls ran train on me!" kind of way. So, while I'll keep that in mind, in the interest of keeping them until they're conformable enough, I'll keep them as antagonists.

Alright. Here goes.

Eterine, the Rebel's Suicide Note, Warden Soul of the Ravine of Whispers.

There is an urban legend in Malfeas that those who paint graffiti lampooning the Demon Princes is magically removed after one hour. The real kicker is that should the same graffiti be drawn three times, it is said to summon a killer which slays those who mock the progenitors so. While this is rather scurrilous in how efficient it makes the process seem, it is true that mocking language calls to Eterine, and enrages her as the protector of the honor of the Yozis. However, what Eterine does more than anything is search of rebels or anyone who sets to place themselves above their appointed station, and slay them. She appears as a tall, hastily drawn First Age courtesan as though drawn with chalk. While technically mute, Eterine will converse with her summoner in Old Realm characters which appear in word bubbles around her.

Summoning: 2/5: Sorcerers summon Eterine to learn written secrets and to silently kill enemies, due to her abilities to swiftly and silently move past even most supernatural defenses. Eterine's legend is well known, but the exact details of her powers and her appointed mission are largely unknown to anyone save She Who lives In Her Name herself. Those who draw graffiti which defies the Social Order 3 times in less than five minutes will summon Eterine into Creation for a day without use of sorcery. However, once the perpetrator is dead, then she will automatically return to Malfeas.

Eterine possesses 24 dice in all actions related to stealth, movement and awareness. She possesses 20 dice in all other actions.

Motivation: To Maintain the Social Order by any means.

Sample Powers:

Wall Stride: Eterine can casually walk from surface to surface easily, teleporting from one to another instantly. This counts as the Hurry Home charm, save that any flat surface counts as a sanctum for purposes of the charm. Should no flat surface be within a mile of her current location, she can raise her limit by one to activate it and move onto any other surface.

Logos Eyes: Eterine is instantly aware of all written words for a five mile radius around her. While she forgets most of what she has seen, she can spend a willpower to jog her memory, rolling a Lore roll at difficulty of the subject in question to see if she's ever seen anything pertaining to the subject.

Calligraphy of Flesh and Bone: Eterine's main form of attack, she scribes the names of the Yozis into her victims with her fingernails, forcing them to recall their folly before they die. This counts as a ranged attack with a range increment of (20 Yards) with an accuracy of +3, damage of 15L, a rate of 3 and ignores armor, striking the target itself.

What does everyone think?

It might just be that she reminds me of Lucien, but I think this concept might be better for a Second circle. Otherwise, looks good.

Ah, now that I think about it, she is thematically similar to Lucien, isn't she? Oh well. I've modified her a bit to reflect this.

Vince is also convinceed that this would be a good servitor demon race of Qf, in a "I have one leg and yet I stride" kind of way.

He also sees these as a potential candidate for a Sozreny first circle species.

So, I just finished my third Exalted game session, and I'm in a little bit of a bind, but to explain that, I need to detail what happened.

So, the circle ,after the lull in battle from last time, they defeated the Fae noble from before, and proceeded on to a room full of blades. They evaded the blades and moved onto the throne room of the Freehold they were in. Now, they had a short conversation with the duke of the Freehold, revealling that an entity in the Wyld was hunting him down, and he was using the Freehold as a barrier to prevent the entity from entering into Creation. However, an old foe in the form of an Adorjani GSP appeared and did him in before he could say much else. The GSP then proceeded to barge across the Freehold doing damage, before the circle confronted her, and a new battle took place. The circle did extremely well, and the GSP had to retreat to avoid being killed.

At this point, Vince's Chosen of Jupiter took a moment to think about what had happened, and postulated that only a Primordial, of a type not seen before would be the type of thing to faze an ancient Fae like the Duke.

After this, the Circle elected to go to Nexus in order to not only allow Azure Heavens, their NPC Lunar, from checking on her Thousand Rivers Society, but also allowing the Dawn Caste to try and find info on his lost fiance, so he could resuce her.Using a Guildsman fence, he was able to discover that his fiance was alive, and that she was in Thorns when the Mask of Winter attacked. After this, the circle decided to retire to a tea house to recuperate for a bit, and Vince's Chosen of Jupiter decided to get dead drunk. He did so, and then was attacked by a hired thug to kill him. Interrogating the thug, Vince traced the thug's employer back to an abandoned tower, which he infiltrated. Finding the person who tried to kill him via proxy, he and the Dawn Caste were stopped by a handful of hungry ghosts. Killing these easily, they went on, and were left by the employer, who ran through an air vent as they had fought off the ghouls. They followed her to a shadowland underneath Nexus in a gigantic crypt, part of a series of artificial caverns where Azure Heavens had her wyld mutants live. Held in check by a combination of totems made by the wyld mutants shamans and the small gods of the area had confined the shadowland, but the real kicker was that they decided to go without any prior knowledge in order to strike while the iron was hot.

They found ghosts of all types, and some undead, but their course only truly got bizarre when they encountered a an arch commemorating the defeat of the Primordial Descent of Objects Envisioned to the Solar Marius Bellanicus and its subsequent death at that spot. Going on, they encounter a tall tower of black obsidian in a meadow made of bones. Going up to the tower, they begin to encounter the ghosts of giraffe-man style silhouettes, which call to them of an avatar of emptiness they call "He Who Freezes in Time." Going towards the tower, the tower is now revealed by writing in Old Realm to be the grave site of this Descent of Objects Envisioned, which became He Who Freezes in Time. Looking about for any clues to their target, they encounter a staircase that drops down as far as they can see, and a statue of a being similar to the gaunt giraffe-men ghosts they saw before, and in order to examine it closer, they move it off the enclave it was perched on, dropping and shattering it. This is when things begin to fall apart.

Inside was a skeletal version of the same creature, who props itself back up and the ghosts outside begin to sing in rhythm, declaring it to be He Who Freezes in Time. The walls of the tower begin to sprout eyes, and resonate the calls of the ghosts outside, and the tower itself begins to rise up. The Dawn Caste then drops right on top of the giraffe-skeleton thing and tries to leg it out of the tower with Vince's Chosen of Jupiter in tow. Where is Azure Heaven? Well, no one knows, least of all me, as she hasn't been really in the scene since the circle passed the archway.

At this point, we had this exchange.

Vince: Did...Did we just unearth a new Neverborn? Underneath Nexus?
Me: Yep. Well, technically you guys are in the Underworld now, but whatever.
Vince: And now its after us? Able to make new Deathlords and all?
Me: Why doesn't it go after you itself, being pretty active when you guys undid its coffin?
Vince: OH MY GOD I AM GOING TO BE AUDITED SO HARD.
Dawn Caste Player: What's a Neverborn? (appraised of the Situation) OH HELL NO.
Me: :D

See, I assured them that I would not TPK them, as we had to leave at this point, but I'm not sure how they can escape realistically, apart from just running away, in so doing, leaving Nexus to its fate. Secondly, having an awake and active Neverborn implies that somehow in their bungling, they did something that the First Age Solars which derped around in the Labyrinth didn't try, which I somehow doubt. While Vince suggested that all they did was open up the Neverborn's coffin and unleash its Fetich-Hektonkhire, I feel that such a beast, while impressive, is nowhere near as terrifying as if the circle has to deal with an active and pissed dead titan. Honestly, I admit that this all arose from a lack of planning, but I'm doing my best to nudge my players to action when they have little inclination to do anything I don't throw their way.

So, what are your thoughts?

WHAT!?!? I got dead drunk of my own free will, and this is a situation that arose because someone tried to stab me while I was drunk! I did something, you threw a plot hook at us, and I took it. That's how RPGs work.

Granted, but for a man whose motivation is "End the Yozis," you didn't act on the info I gave you in the Freehold, and the Dawn Caste bounty hunter was content to follow you or my Lunar NPC, so take that as you will.

Like I said, that was just my side of things. I already admitted that occurred ultimately was a breakdown due to my poor planning, so let's not get in a flamewar over this, okay? I admit it, this was my mistake.

Yeah, those could easily be adapted to be first circles.

Well, I'd think that if releasing a full out neverborn were that easy, then either the First age Solars by accident or the more demented Deathlords would have done it on purpose with guiding from the neverborn. In this specific neverborn's instance, I'd think that some demented First age solar would have set it free trying to move the statue to one of their manse-palaces because it just matched the decor and would have looked positively wonderful flanked by a pair of Ping vases.

While an active neverborn would be a terrifying and epic foe, I doubt it would be a feasible fight for a trio of inexperienced celestials to survive, let alone win, if handled at a level appropriate to its status. Vince's solution would work, but I offer a middle line between the two. Vince was right, they only unlocked it's fetich-hekatonkhire... but it has access to the neverborn's full consciousness and is calling to the neverborn's other hekatonkhires. If they all get together (which could take several months or years) then it could reconstitute itself into a full-fledged neverborn. For added pressure, add that it has control over the giraffe-man ghosts (fetich's former first circles or a servitor race, perhaps?) putting a powerful supernatural army at it's disposal.
