Question- If I used the Greater Astrology "Fate is all Things" (Return of the Scarlet Empress) on Ligier to make him inside fate, and THEN used "An End to Darkness" (Glories: Maidens) on him to make him a god, what would be the end result?

I, too, have a question.

Green Sun Princes can transcend thier nature and become Primordials using the Devil-Tiger Heretical charms. Terrestrials can become Gaian exalted/ Second Circle Devas (it's unclear what, exatly) through Transendent Gaian Harmony. Can any other exalted transcend thier form to become something more?

Well, I wonder how you would convince Ligier to become a god. But for sake of the argument, if you did, I think the only effect to him would be his loss of traits dependent on his connection to Malfeas, most notably his self-depreciation. He would permanently gain all Malfeas charms that were related to the him as the Green Sun, as part of his own, unique array of charms.

Malfeas, on the other hand, would not be so well off. The only thing that would keep him from suffering fetich death would be the existence of the green sun princes with Malfeas charms reflective of Ligier's nature. That would stabilize his charm set enough that one of Ligier's Second Circles, likely Gervesin, in my opinion, would collect the other Second circles around him to become Malfeas' new fetich. That would minimize the effect on Malfeas, but his nature would still be changed at least a little.

In short, Ligier becomes an Incarnae-level asshole warrior-smith god with a sun theme and a noble streak. Malfeas is changed slightly, which might allow some other Yozis to escape in that short time. That second part might be a problem, but likely nothing new if Greater Astrology was unlocked.

That's actually a thought that Vince and I talked about a few times a while ago.

In the interim, I've come to a new conclusion. Becoming a Devil-Tiger's the one high essence thing that GSPs have. Don't try to take it from them, man.

I can't tell you my favorite Exalted story, since I'm planning on using stuff from it in this game, but I can tell you my most epic Exalted story.

At this point in the game, the circle consisted of a melee-based Full Moon, a Twilight Artificer, an Eclipse-caste marital artist, and a Dusk-caste assassin, all having just reached essence 5. They had been just wandering around the east, being heroes and doing awesome things, but not moving any of the plots along. Deciding to be a total jackass, I resurrected a previous subplot about a deathknight agent of the Mask of Winters looking for a first age artifact which could enslave large numbers of ghosts. I had an elder Sidereal NPC who had tutored the Eclipse in a bit of Prismatic Arrangement of Creation Style show up and tell them that not only had the deathknight succeeded, but the Mask of winters had made another version that could enslave other Deathlords.

The Mask of Winters had used this on the Walker in Darkness, and used a ton of the ghost control artifacts to enslave the Dead Legion of Deheskan. Then he conquered Lookshy and slaughtered the entirely of the Marukani horselords. After that, he enslaved all of their ghosts, and had his Daybreak castes use a custom Void-circle spell which made shadowlands, converting the remainder of the Marukani lands. In little over a month, he had converted the entire southwestern quarter of the Scavenger lands into one huge shadowland.

The Sidereal teamed up with the circle and transported them to Nexus, because the Mask of Winters was preparing to attack there next to connect the Walker's Realm with his massive new shadowland. They met up with the Emissary, who revealed his identity as a First Age Eclipse caste. They decided the only way to definately beat MoW would be to steal his Deathlord Control Artifact. After two whole sessions of fighting their way into the Juggernaut and beating the shit out of the MoW, they took his ghost control artifacts, and decided that it would be better to keep them than destroy them in order to build their own eternal death-kingdom.

The Full Moon had gotten the knack that let you take ghosts' forms, and managed, against my better judgment, to convince me that the time he spent masquerading as one of MoW's subordinates in order to lead him into a trap counted as a Spirit Hunt. With him posing as the Mask of Winters and controlling the Walker in Darkness and twenty legions worth of necrotech armed ghosts, they decided the best thing to do would be to raze Nexus.

Long story short, they killed the Emissary and that Sidereal NPC, while the Twilight reverse engineered the Deathlord control artifact. Armed with thirteen of those artifacts, they enslaved the remaining Deathlords while being careful not to expand their super-shadowland any more, which they reasoned would pressure the Sids and Lunars to act against them. After they enslaved all of the Deathlords, they had all of them but the Walker, FaFL, and a Martially-inclined homebrew Deathlord walk into oblivion to keep them from messing with their plans. Then they marshaled all of their forces in Deheskan, and proceeded to conquer the rest of the east and a good portion of the North. The whole thing ended when I revealed that the Emissary and my Sidereal had become Deathlords and that they were planning on dropping the Pole of Earth into Oblivion. The circle invaded the Blessed Isle to stop them, but the Realm, under complete control of Mnemon, who had used the threat of the Circle's armies invading to unify the Realm and had unlocked the Realm Defense Grid, stalled them long enough that the two new Deathlords succeeded, completely destroying creation in the process.

I learned from that to never force my players into an epic quest and make sure I know what their intentions are before they get their hands on an N/A rating artifact.

So, I have had my First official Exalted game session (Second actual, but that was just chargen for Vince and my new player) with my new group.

It started with a slight tweaking of our new member's Dawn Caste Solar he had made, and a general overview on his character.

We then began our game, with the two Exalts beginning a quest to rid a town of a god demanding human sacrifices. The god was flooding the surrounding territories to blackmail them into doing this, and so, Vince in typical Sidereal Vince fashion (Sidereals? Low tier? TROLOLOLOLO), bullied this spirit into not only stopping it, but also forcing it to swear to aid them. See, the reason this deity had been so abusive to its worshippers was because his worshippers were being preyed upon by a nearby Freehold of Fae. Logic, apparently, was not his strong suit, but being a fish god, I suppose this was par for the course.

This was kinda a disappointment I had, as I had statted the guy out, and was ready to have him do battle, setting up the human sacrifice scene they walked into to incense them enough to take action, and act as an easy intro to Exalted combat. However, trusting my PCs to act in a bloodthirsty manner, and they went and acted opposite normal PC behavior and went in, and TALKED. Geez.

They, along with the girl that was going to be sacrificed in tow as a guide, were then attacked by some goblins, and it was at this point that I realized two things: Hobgoblins make poor fare for Celestial Exalts. Secondly, Vince's Chosen of Jupiter had a set of armor which made it almost impossible for them to hurt him. Damnnable reinforced platemail. After the goblins were dispatched, the girl revealed that she was a Lunar who had placed herself in danger to try and get info about the Freehold from the fish god, as his flooding had upset her pet projects downstream. Together, they entered the Freehold, and found another Fae, this one a noble, waiting for them. Using a waiting room, complete with Muzak and number lines to stall them, the Fae sought to keep them away from her master. THIS, of all things, got them upset and ready to fight, and she responded by summoning her behemoth, and an epic fight was at hand.

At this point, another player arrived, and we spent the rest of the session explaining what Exalted was, how it worked, and what type of character she wanted. In the end, she decided on a Twilight doctor-mancer, and we managed to (Almost) chug out the crunchy bits of her character, leaving the others, however, in limbo for another week until their epic battle can be resolved.

To Kesler, I have to ask. Vince has decided that his Sidereal was in his prior incarnation, an Akuma of Szoreny, which I okayed. However, he's asking for souls of Szoreny he could summon due to the past lives merit he took. He offered an interesting idea for a species of first circle demons of Kagami, Szoreny's fetich, which were these mercury monkeys which live in his mirror universe-body. I'm asking you, however, as you seem fond of Isidoros and Szoreny, and so, you might have some good ideas for Souls I could borrow. If so, would you mind sharing them?

Most of my notes from previous games are in storage at home with the rest of my rpg books. I was planning on digging them out during Christmas break, so I'll be sure to get my Isidoros and Szoreny souls to you when I do that. I've got way more Isidoros demos than Szoreny, but I'm pretty sure that I have at least ten statted.

For now, I've got,
Metaros the Obsidian Tower, 6th Soul of Szoreny.

I remember having Kagami's Communicative soul statted as a crazy, ranting old woman who wandered Kagami's city-body. I also had an amber-and-gold tiger second circle of unknown origins (meaning I never sat down to think what his Third circle was), that hunted down the inhabitants of Szoreny. He had a race of gold hawks(?) that helped him look for and hunt down his prey.

I like the mercury monkeys, they definitely fit into the theme I had for Szoreny. Most of the second and first circles I made for him were his own inhabitants
