Considering that Infernals are so attuned to their Patrons that their expansions to their charmsets affect the nature of those beings, I'd probably assume that GSPs would be able to learn it, or at the very least, the SMA emulations of their Patrons. The same going for Alchemicals and Primordial God-Machine Style. Heck, that might even make Martial Arts a semi-viable fighting style for them. (Curse you White Wolf, Curse you and your gimping of my Robot Karate Master and his Chainsaw Death Karate specialties.)

My Vitirol aside (Haha! Double Entendre!) I'd love to see that idea expanded upon. Whelp. add that to me finishing Planetars, then...

What rules do you have on in-character martial arts creations?
Back to this...

The style I wanted to build was based on the concept of "enlightenment", so I decided it would probably be better a SMA.

So, Dietaku I thought yesterday that I could make the "Most Perfect Lotus of Heavenly Design" Style: Kind of a Arms of the Unconquered Sun Style, but for Sidereals; each of the forms would be reflective of one of the maidens. I was thinking, in order to place all of the maidens equally, the charm tree would go Intro charm/ Form for each maiden/ five charms, each with one form as prerequisite/ Capstone charm (likely based on Nox, but not a form) requiring each of the form offshot charms.

Thoughts?

Oh, and I wasn't intending on inventing it IC. I was thinking that Like Arms of the Unconquered Sun, it was a devotional style designed to ease their practitioner's way into the SMAs, but it fell by the wayside after the usurpation when Sidereals started using more politically charged styles (Five Immaculate dragon Styles for Bronzes, Solar-themed styles for the Golds), and it is having a resurgence from independents who wish to avoid said politically charged styles.

Well, having vented my frustrations elsewhere and discussing it with Dietaku a bit, would it be cool if I joined? I have a Full-Moon Lunar almost ready to go. The rough idea came from binging on Breath of Fire, so it has a River Dragon totem. Cool? "It" because I keep flip-flopping on gender each time I tweak it...

*Edit* And while Dan advised it, the Lunar book says I should check in about positive mutations. Yea or Nay on those, seeing as I might could make it more draconic-like?

You get Essence+4 number of BP to spend on mutations for your Deadly Beastman Transformation. These grant you all the benefits and none of the downsides of the mutations themselves and are to represent your draconic bits in your warform. Look up the beastmen in the Exalted core's antagonists chapter, and they'll detail the mutations and their costs, although you might want to get some other ones like Dragon's Breath and the like, although that's in another book, the Compass of Celestial Directions: The Wyld, I believe.

And as for Gender, take Twin-Faced Hero, and never have to worry about gender again. Yeah, Lunars are weird/awesome like that.

Vince- I think that that would be a pretty interesting idea. I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Jeff- It'd be great to have you. You can take up to 10 points of positive mutations. Unless they were your tell it would either mean you were a wyld mutant or beastman prior to exaltation, or that you had a brush with chimerism.

Just out of curiosity, Kesler, what is your stance on training times and charms which remove/lessen them? Personally, they are overly long, especially for essence raising, where one could spend time busting heads in, but in order to do better busting of heads requires high essence charms, and a vicious cycle begins.

I tend to reduce training time by an order of magnitude. Months become, weeks, weeks become days, and days become one day.

Using this method, (for Solars) raising essence above 3 takes (Rating) weeks, an ability takes 3 days, and a charm is learned in one day.

This has taken some minor tweaking to keep mentor useful and keep sorcery and necromancy "difficult to get". Things such as Attributes, abilities and charms can be learned in half the adjusted time if you have a mentor with the appropriate knowledge.

Sorcery and Necromancy still keep their same training times, but said training time is halved with a mentor.

Also, your circle-mates CAN act as a mentor for purposes of increasing abilities and attributes, learning charms, sorcery, etc. if they agree to do so.

Awright, I'm gonna keep chugging on my Lunar bit-by-bit, but here's the deal on my end: it's down to the wire before my big move and that means the chips are down and I'll be moving constantly for the remainder of the week and like a madman early next. I'll join the game when things settle down on my end (probably around Saturday 10th-ish? Don't quote me on that). Hopefully then, the dust will have settled and my computer will not be in a box anymore and I can play regularly.
