Well, bare in mind that we've had these characters on had for a few months now, so we've had time to do this. Also, out of all the charms I thought you might take umbrage at, Pup of Mela and Mercury is not one I'd have guessed. It will be changed posthaste.
Oh, it gets better. Thanks to quips by Vince, Ascendant Sword, his current Sidereal, knows Mantis, and is aware of the Planetars. Zebran is more or less the reason for my Slayer exalting, and it's become something of an injoke that Malfeas tends to derail our campaigns, as we go there to do things, and we lose track of time, doing all these fun things to demons and the like. |

Hey, Kesler, how far have you gotten in FotNS, and what Exalted MA style would you use for the new characters? |

Really? You guys seem to be building a fairly impressive fanon, then. Well, I finished FotNS. Really think it should have ended after Kaioh died. As for Exalted MAs... All of the Ryuken practitioners are Infernal Monsters. That's the only style that's brutal and demonic enough. I can't really remember any other significant supernatural styles. There was that one general guy that Shachi killed, and Baran, but neither of them were really any more impressive than any of the not-Tenroken Taizan styles. |

Strangely enough, in Fist of the Blue Sky, the Prequel series that depicts the adventures of Kasumi Kenshiro, Kenshiro's namesake and 62nd successor to Hokuto Shinken, Jukei's Sifu (Ex-Nazi Hokuto Ryuuken Raoh. That's like triple evil, yet he's somehow less evil than Kaioh) and his sifu both mention the HEAVY FATE of Ryuuken, but never become rampaging kill-monsters like Jukei, Kaoih and Hyoh all did. The reason they gave for this was that the would periodically step into bonfires of sacred woods and oils to purify their essence and burn off their demon-chi. Whether or not this worked because of the process or the intense mental and physical focus require to set yourself on fire every other week, they don't specify. The point I'm trying to get to is that Ryuken is much less demonic in the bigger picture (it has a much bigger role in Fist of the Blue Sky). Also a ton of the not-Solar Hero-esque techniques in Hokuto Shinken (e.g. Tenha Kassatsu) are revealed to actually related to either one of four Hokuto offshoot styles or the Style that Shuken merged with Original Hokuto to make Hokuto Shinken. So much for Hokuto having no other schools, eh? Hokuto apparently split into four in the Three Kingdoms era in China; one faction went with each of the potential emperors, while the current successor to Shinken said "Fuck this noise" and moved to Japan. Hokuto Ryuuken later got it's own splinter style which is more like Nanto than Hokuto. |

That doesn't make him wrong. I mean, that's like saying that his impression of Rei's style was wrong because it didn't take into account Rei Gaiden. |

Or Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. Or the sequel. Which are both awesome. Mained Shin like a boss. Also, is it me, or does it seem like Hyoh, Shachi/Han and Kaioh all seem to have different styles, down to Hyoh possessing PEW PEW lasers, Shachi's flurry-tron attacks, and Kaioh's BLOW IT UP WITH MUSCLES, all being very different. Also, I'm working on my Infernal. |

So, Kesler, what's your thoughts on what's been shown for Exalted 3ed? I'm cautiously optimistic, as I liked the majority of what the devs did in 2ed, but I'm saddened that they may take away the Infernal's rad thermonuclear PAUNCH charms so as to make them less "Yozi-lites" and more "Green Abyssals." Also, the addition of new Exalt types is neat, I guess. |

My Exalt is up and ready. As for Exalted third edition, I'm also optimistic. I hope they help Lunars. Lord knows they need it. Also, I hope they take Abyssals down a peg. Freakin' Vampires and their Superghost boss-guys need to not be SO overbearing in the enemy department that its almost a prerq to have a deathknight baddy, White World. |

I didn't realize how much extra material there was. So I read it all. It was great for the most part, but Good Lord there was a ton of it. @Dietaku- I'm both happy and sad for third edition. The system needs work. 2.5 was a huge step in the right direction, but even that's not perfect. But from what I hear, the devs are eviscerating the setting which is what drew me to Exalted in the first place. @Kayen- Kireeka? You're going with that? She looks good. Just one thing, and it's mostly irrelevant. A Deep Fang Horror? I don't think I've ever head of those. Not that I care about you making up material, I really don't care about that, but iirc Infernals are supposed to have some sort of marking telling about their Unwoven coagulator. |

Shachi is "Orca" so, the goddess of oceanic predators with an orca motif seemed to fit. Also Deep Fang Horror is a demon name I made off the cuff. I imagine it would be the sort of fish that lives in Kimberry, a terrifying amalgam of shark, octopus and lobster. Her ,"Tell" would be her crazy shark teeth, then. An appropriate sign for a privateer and murderhobo. Something I noticed. All the good demons seem to come from Malfeas. Not very cool, as a number of the side-Yozis (Qaf, Metagaos, Oramus) seem to have very intriguing concepts and themes, but the writers ignore them in favor of "RAWR! INSANE RADIOACTIVE RAVE BUG-MEN!" for Malfeas. As a side note due to me being in a Don Bluth mood, Rasputin: Getting down with it the best out of all Deathlords. |
