The ⑥of Four Against Nature
Oh, my mom plans on it. She's just recording these events to have plenty of evidence to use against her in the future.

Yeah, I dunno if this counts as true Frustration, But I need to vent this. All of my spring break, due to my unemployment, I babysat my youngest sister, who is four. Now, I love her a lot, being as precocious as she is, but one thing bugged me the entire time: her insistance on watching cartoons. Now, I don't particularly care about that, but rather the quality of the cartoons she desired to watch, which consisted mainly of Scooby Doo, Dora the Explorer and Spongebob. Now, I understand that being a guy over twenty that these shows aren't supposed to BE for me, so to speak, but it unnerves me how unabashedly DUMB these shows are, following patterns that after like three shows, most anyone could guess. Now, I understand that yes, this is a yet another aspect of children's cartoons, but after thinking about it, doesn't ALL media mroe or less fall under this umbrella of unimaginative drivvel? I mean, think abotu any of the films you've seen in the past couple of years? I bet you they fall under any of these categories: book adaptation, Iraq War commentary (LOL GUUISE WE MADE A MISTAKE, FAWK US!), LOTR ripoff, or CGI animal catroon (Glenda the grossly misunderstood gay rhesus monkey clown uses the power of friendship, hopes and dreams to pull herself out of her unusual situation and save the day!)

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.

I dunno. The last day of Spring Break, my Dad and I watched "Buckaroo Banzai and his Adventures in the 8th Dimension." Yes, you can laugh, the film is incredibly hokey and definitely a B+ at best. However, the wit, energy and enthusiasm that was in that film astounded me, which we could never see in any of the GRIMDARK "MY FATHER IS DEAD I HATE YOUR LAND I AM A DRAGON RIDER MAGICAL PONY "epic" movies we get today. I dunno. Thanks for listening....er, reading, and letting me vent.
