I have recently been informed (thanks to G4) that some things have changed with the movie watchmen. Recently the first 12 min. of the film as well as 20min. of extra random clips of the movie was shown to a select few film critics, and they have informed a few things have changed. 1. Dr. Manhattan will be going to Mars in the film. 2. The hour animated "the Black Freighter" sections of the film have been cut out of the theatrical release, but will be included on the DVD release. 3. The film for it's theatrical release will be under 3 hours long it has been reported that it is being cut down to be about 2hrs and 30-40mins, and the extra footage will only be on the dvd release So far the critics have said that the first 12 mins of the film were exactly the same as the first few pages of the book, and if the rest of the film is anything like the first 12 mins. they are saying it will be a truly great film!

To the younger people on this forum below the age of 17, if you have not seen this film yet, you may just want to wait till the movie comes out on dvd or blu-ray, because if you are able to convince your parents to take you to the movie, I almost guarantee it to be a very very awkward time spent with them, seeing as this film is nothing but adult themes, and has moments that get more gory then most hard R horror movies. Also there is also a lot, and i mean a lot of nudity, primarily consisting of Dr. Manhattans big blue penis...lol...blue penis...lol By the way, just for the record... This film is by far, THE BEST film based on anything Alan Moore has written, which I must say is a great refresher after the bastardized films based on his other works such as V for Vendetta, From Hell, and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
