Character #1: Shade
Shade (Early-Mid)
Spoiler: click to toggle Name: ??? Alias: Shade
Date of Birth: Unknown | Age: Unknown Race: Half-Demon | Gender: Male (♂) Height: 5'11" | Weight: 131 lbs
Alignment: Lawful Good Personality: To be added.
Fighting Class: ??? Fighting Style: To be added
Abilities/Traits:
Shadowcrawl- One of Shade's abilities is to transform himself into a small circular shadow on the ground. The shadow is able to traverse walls and ceilings, and Shade can enter or exit this form to nearly any degree.
Techniques:
Black Pulse- A ring of dark energy which is gathered and shaped. It is then fired off at speeds approaching 120 miles per hour. The ring detonates when anything touches the outside or any object passes through the ring. The charging process is very loud and can be easily heard and noticed. However, the technique is very powerful and can knock out opponents if hit in the head.
Tendril Outbreak- Shade slams one of his fists into the ground. He then sends a large group of shadow tendrils through the ground towards any target within a short range. Finally, the tendrils all shoot out at once in a half-sphere out of the ground. They do not fly into the air, but rather only extend for a few feet before returning to their owner. The tendrils are needle-sharp and as such, can kill any unsuspecting prey.
Equips:
Mirror Knives- A set of eight knives that Shade carries within his cloak. Although small, the blades are able to reflect light, sound, and other elemental energies. Also, they are able to project an illusion of Shade when triangulated.
Penumbra Cloak- A cloak which coats the user with a thin layer of shadows when worn. This allows the user to blend into any shadows they may come across.
Shade (Late)
Spoiler: click to toggle Name: ??? Alias: Shade
Date of Birth: Unknown | Age: Unknown Race: Half-Demon | Gender: Male (♂) Height: 5'11" | Weight: 131 lbs
Alignment: Neutral Evil Personality: At this later stage of life, Shade has returned to his evil roots, but is not as chaotic in his actions as he used to be. He will generally not kill a person until they become a hindrance or a threat, but he may perform malicious deeds to benefit himself or other evil accomplices, on rare occasions.
Fighting Class: Assassin Fighting Style: In recent times, Shade has dug back down into his old Assassin roots, and as such, favors setting up traps and killing the opponent in one, possibly two lethal blows. His vast melee combat and short range combat skills from centuries past have not failed him when his assassination attempts have, however, and is more than capable than defending himself at a short range. His resourcefulness can often earn him a kill or two even when the opponent knows they are being attacked, which makes Shade all the more dangerous.
Abilities/Traits:
Vigil- Shade only requires sleep once every three to four days due to his ancestry. Thus, he is able to effectively pull multiple all-nighters with ease, and will prove to be just as alert as during the day.
Techniques:
Shadow Tendrils- Shade has the ability to draw out shadows from within his own body, or from his own shadow, and use them as solid weapons. He can shape them with few limits as he pleases, but prefers to keep them similar to his daggers, or uses the shadow as a shield. The area of the shape of the shadow used cannot exceed the area of the shadow being used.
Imprimatus Angelus- A seal which prevents any noise from emitting from anything within the area of effect. Shade is able to create a circular seal which measures fifty by fifty feet, at maximum, and five by five feet at minimum. The seal lasts for ten minutes at minimum, an hour at maximum. Shade is able to break the seal at any time, however.
Imprimatus Luminatus- A seal which prevents any light from emitting from anything or entering within the area of effect. Shade is able to create a circular seal which measures fifty by fifty feet, at maximum, and five by five feet at minimum. The seal lasts for ten minutes at minimum, an hour at maximum. Shade is able to break the seal at any time, however.
Special Technique: Imprimatus Elementus- A seal which is placed on a target. This prevents a selected element from being used within the target's abilities, techniques, or weapons. The effect lasts only for twenty four hours, and will wear off after that time has passed.
Equips:
Obsidian Eye- A previous battle had resulted in Shade losing an eye, so he researched a way to replace it. His result is the obsidian eye, which is an enchanted item which allows the user to see through darkness, illusions, and shadow or dark based mists or other forms of cover.
Silhouette Ring- A ring composed of obsidian that Shade wears into battle. It houses his shadow, which can be manipulated or called out at any time. When the ring is on, Shade's shadow is able to control it's own movement based on Shade's will. When the ring is not being worn, Shade's shadow is in it's normal position, and cannot be animated.
Nyctalopia Daggers- (Based off of the V-42 Stiletto.) A set of four daggers that Shade carries on him as his primary assassination weapons, other than his shadows. The blade is seven inches long, and can either slash or stab, but was designed with the latter in mind. The blades are composed of Carbonado, or "Black Diamond", rendering it to be one of the hardest materials known to man. The handle is forged from obsidian and is one and a half inches long. The blades are ten ounces each, rendering the set of four to be two and a half pounds. If cloaked with shadows, direct contact with the blade of this weapon can cause blindness for short periods of time. Character Chronology: (Read Below for more info)

Eh. Nicer Shade seemed better and had more versatility, but perhaps that was just me. Anyways, approved.

Name: Magnus Krome
Age: 17 | Gender: Male Height: 6'4" | Weight: 185 (225 with full Magnian Armor) Species: Magnian | Race: Magnian Species Description: A sturdier, more powerful version of the human. Can withstand extremely high temperatures and has the ability to manipulate rock and fire. Magnians are quite proud of their heritage and will act arrogant if they believe that their opponent is not a good enough challenge. However, they practice etiquette like various other species.
Techniques: (These are only some of the more prominent techs Magnus can use. However, he is not limited to what is listed below. More difficult techs have more stars next to their names.)
Sand Shift- Packs sand into tighter clumps to provide stability to the ground that is affected. Often used when traversing over sand.
*Sand Spear- A large group of sand that is packed together in a rough, but still sharp shape, and is jutted out of the ground at frightening speeds. Does not actually go airborne.
Earth Spear- A large, pointed rock shoots up out of the ground at frightening speeds. Does not actually go airborne.
Rock Wall- Raises a solid, rectangular rock from the Earth, can be used to block attacks or create structures.
*Ashen Wall- Raises a solid, rectangular rock with burning ash particles on it from the Earth. The particles of ash can be shot out of the wall once an assualt is abosrbed, or the ashes can be kept on the wall to prevent contact.
*Spine Shower- Takes any amount of earthen material, breaks it up into many pieces, and shoots tiny, yet still sharp shards at a target at a machine gun-like rate.
*Tremor- Causes the ground to violently vibrate. Is used to undermine stances and can cause people to fall over.
**Earthquake- Creates an Earthquake in the area, which can cause the ground to split up. Is a more advanced version of Tremor.
***Fissure- A more extreme form of Earthquake which also features earth spears which jut out from the ground in random spots.
*Slab Surf- Raises a usually rectangular slab off of the ground and moves around on it.
*Sand Surf- Sand is risen from the ground, and moved forwards like a wave to accomplish speeds of travel up to 40 miles per hour.
Crumble- Reduces rocks to rubble in the blink of an eye.
Equips:
Magnian Armor- A special type of body armor designed around Magnus's abilities. Rock can be added or removed at will for extra protection or speed, respectively. Any rock currently on the armor can be ignited for increased frost resistance. There is a base layer for the rocks to attach to, so Magnus is never completely without protection.

Name: Azir Seroz Species: Human/Ghost Description: An evolutionary strain of humans which have picked up ghost qualities, and abilities. Their skin is a pale grey, and they possess the ability to control and manipulate dark energy, in spite of how it was formed. When half ghosts die, they are unable to be revived, but they are able to appear in the living world as a full ghost, which means they are intangible.
Race: Ghost Age: 14 | Gender: Male Height: 5'1" | Weight: 112 lbs
Behavioral Alignment: Neutral Good
Personality: Having matured from his experience in a renegade dead zone and darkened from his encounter from Shade, Azir is ambiverted, sometimes proving social and sometimes reflecting within himself. Generally he is caring about the people he meets, but he never expresses such feelings. He also is not hesitant to seek vengeance on those who threaten or harm him and kill anybody in his way.
Abilities:
Levitation- Azir's first well-mastered ability. Allows him to float in the air with ease.
Intangibility- This ability allows Azir to shift into an adjacent parallel dimension, thereby allowing him to avoid attacks. However, Azir can't channel dark energy while intangible, nor can he move on the physical plane. It is a limited but still useful technique which still has not been fully mastered.
Dark Energy Control- Azir's methods of manipulating dark energy are unorthodox. In order to create dark energy, he has to draw upon a negative source, whether it be himself, or others (drawing energy from others is quite challenging and is not mastered by Azir until he is much older). However, in order to actually create the negative energy, the source must be experiencing a negative emotion of some sort, or have dark and malicious intentions.
The energy which is made from said negative emotions have slightly different properties according to the emotion that it is drawn from. The emotions and their properties are listed below:
Spoiler: click to toggle Fear: This type of dark energy can be drawn upon in adundance as long as the threat or the thought which induces the fear exists. This type of dark energy has a explosive nature, and must be handled carefully. It is one of the more powerful forms of energy that Azir manipulates, but sometimes proves to be self-destructive. Anger: The dark energy which stems from anger can be drawn on quite easily, and has a tendency to flow in sudden bursts of energy followed by a small trickle of it. This form of dark energy has the potential to blind or negate the senses of whoever is attacked. Because of it's uneven flow, Azir has a tough time controlling this form of energy at first. The power of the energy stemmed from anger can vary greatly depending on the severity of the emotion. Depression: Continuously flows from the body in small amounts and self-manifests as dark energy. Although this is one of the weakest forms of energy, it can be the most reliable; it is the only form of dark energy which can heal others. Guilt: Is always drawn upon in equal amounts continuously. This form of energy has the ability to turn solid, which can ward off any form of attack given that said attack is not stronger than the barrier. More compact barriers are more resistant due to the increased concentration of energy derived from guilt. Boredom: By far the weakest form of energy that Azir can manipulate, the energy derived from boredom is highly flexible in its abilities and usage. It is the only form of dark energy which appears as a grey aura rather than black, due to its slight positive tendency. This proves to be the reason as to why boredom is the weakest form of energy and the most challenging to draw upon. Azir usually only employs this form of energy for practice or simple tasks. Hatred: The strongest form of dark energy which Azir reserves for situations of dire need. This form of energy is highly unstable, and can react unexpectedly if not handled correctly. However, its other properties make it appealing for last resort moves; anything this form of energy touches after being drawn upon disintegrates and transforms into more energy derived from hatred. Azir has a tendency to lose control of this type of energy if he uses it for too long, but is usually able to release it or, once he learns the ability, suppress it. Jealousy: This form of dark energy is tough to draw upon, but is easy to control. At first, Azir finds no good usage for this form of energy, but he soon learns that it can enter other living beings and cause their negative emotions to magnify, which in turn can amplify his own power or create a source of malicious intent for him to draw upon. Misery: The only form of dark energy which Azir cannot draw upon. Energy formed from misery streams out of the body in liquid form as a black sludge, and does nothing more than rest in place. Like anger, the power of this energy varies greatly depending on the severity of the emotion. Greed: Another self-manifesting form of dark energy which cannot be suppressed. This form of energy causes all who use it or inflicted by it to crave power until the energy is either expelled from their bodies, mentally fought off, or replaced by another negative emotion. Rage: The energy from rage begins to self-manifest in very small quantities. However, if the rage continues, the energy gradually increases in power, and must be drawn upon manually in order to derive all the potential dark energy from the emotion. Rages which last too long can cause Azir to temporarily lose his ability to draw upon his emotions for power, although self-manifesting emotions will continue to appear. Inhumanity: A lack of compassion or caring for others is rare in Azir, but the form of energy exists. When drawn upon, it causes Azir to disappear from sight. Although he can still be heard, felt, etc, nobody but himself can see where he currently is, and he is only able to tell from a small, black aura which emanates while he is drawing upon this emotion. Malicious Intention: Although not a true "emotion", Azir is able to draw upon malicious intent from himself and others. This allows other forms of dark energy to be manifested much more easily, and sometimes can increase their power if the intent is coming from the user. Love: Cannot be drawn upon as a dark energy form, but still is worthy to mention for a few reasons. The first effect which love has on Azir is that he loses all ability to draw upon the negative emotions he may be feeling until he ceases feeling love, temporarily or permanently. Although Azir eventually learns that he can suppress his love for others, it comes with a massive price; the only emotions which he can draw upon after suppressing love are hatred and malicious intent. This forms a formidable problem for Azir, as supressing love can often cause him to perform evil deeds or act in ways he wouldn't normally act. This effect is permanent until Azir expresses his love, or resurfaces it, which reverses the supression process.
Notable Techniques / Phenomenons:
Spoiler: click to toggle Disintegration Aura:{ Requires: Rage III+ and Malicious Intent or Rage IV+} A constant flow of excessive dark energy caused by rage. Can disintegrate small objects, and harm anything which makes direct contact with the aura. Area increases as Rage level increases. Special Move:Biocide { Requires: Rage V+} A focused infusion of dark energy which always proves lethal. The energy enters the creature and shuts down everything it comes into contact with. Burnout: The point at which Azir's ability to draw upon negative emotions for dark energy is temporarily negated by over usage. Self-manifesting emotions continue to appear, but in limited quantities. A Burnout Meter will be displayed once Azir reaches Rage V and will only be removed if he ceases his rage. The meter has 10 sections, and higher levels of rage fill the meter more quickly. If the meter fills, there is a chance Azir will be able to continue (decided by a random number generator). If this happens, the meter is set back to 0 and 2 turns are added to the cooldown amount (the number next to the meter, begins at 5). The higher the cooldown is, the more likely Azir is to burnout. Once Azir's cooldown number hits 12 he automatically burns out.
Likeliness for Burnout: (5): 20% (7): 40% (9): 60% (11): 80%Example Meter: |||||||||| (7) Equipment: Seroz Bracelet- A bracelet with a rather large charm on it of the Seroz family symbol. Azir has recently learned of its ability to channel dark energy and solidify it into the shape of a blade.

Approved. I'm personally not sure how you're going to handle this one (it's not my play style but hey). So long as the emotions you change to change LOGICALLY (and no, having a bipolar disorder doesn't give you right) there shouldn't be any conflicts.
