Perlin walks foward and addreses the man. "We were hired for an expidition that stood to make a fair ammount of gold, but we were crossed by them. They attempted to kill us, we suceeded in deafeating them, but now we can't go back to our empire. The people who hired us was the House of Lirtosia, and they are prominant enough to either have us killed, or thrown in the stockades with little to no trouble" Perlin pauses a moment thinking carefully what to say. "We seek pasage into the Grail empire to escape the pursicution, of Lirsosia, we assure you any "problems" that may be caused by their attempts to capture us will be delt with privately and will not disrupt the lives of your citizens" I say the second part with a Diplomacy check of 17+6=24 Edited by Perlin, Nov 8 2009, 04:02 PM.

"If that is the case, then you are guarantied political protection, so long as you remain in the dominion of House Lrmiir, lords of this city and my family. But I will accompany you for the next few days to be sure you are not lying and and members of some strange cult," the man says with a crooked smile, "we've been having quite a few of those showing up recently. By the way, I am Lrmiir Rissin, priest of Longinus IX" |

Galen looks up and quirks an eyebrow. "Cult? What kind of cult?" |

Rissin turns to Galen, and his eyes narrow as he says, "All we know is that they are protesting the proscribed state religion and are vandalizing or destroying temples throughout the city. They are likely living in the catacombs under the city" *I've started construction of a Wiki for this campaign, mostly 'cause I'm bored. So here is a link to the main page. You might want to check out the page for the Grail Empire. Edited by VinceLoretto, Nov 8 2009, 08:30 PM.

Rissin shrugs, "'Tis possible, I suppose. Most likely it's just a recurrence of some of the old aboriginal religions that were never completely put down." Rissin looks over you all before continuing, "from the looks of you, and your tale, you are well versed in combat. My family sent a large portion of the local garrison West to a call to arms by the Emperor just before this trouble began. Any assistance you could give would be appreciated, and my House will surely recompense you as well." *Be sure to check out the Society of Illumination Thread. EXALTED ROCKS!* |

Since no one has posted in nearly 48 hours, I would like to mention that this is not something you have to do. I'm merely placing a hook that you CAN take. However, if you keep on not posting, eventually I will get bored and will start railroading you. |

Ada scratches behind her horns, "They're just vandalizing stuff? I mean, have they hurt anyone? They're not, like, doing human sacrifices or anything, are they? If they are, we HAVE to stop them. But if they're just slapping paint on the walls, who cares?" |

"No one has been hurt yet, but they escalated from 'slapping paint on the walls', as you say, to destroying temples and public property in a manner of days, so we fear that there will soon be deaths," Rissin shudders as he continues, "or that we just haven't found the bodies yet. But I would be more respectful to our plight if I where you. I spent some time in your lands, so I understand the patchwork of gods you people call religion much better than my countrymen. If they saw you act as you just did to me, they might brand you as the criminals and there would be little I could do to stop them." |
