All right, guys, since the general consensus when Dan started his 4E D&D game was that 3.5 is so much better, I’ve decided to start up a 3.5 Campaign. Yay! I’ll be DM, so don’t worry about that. You’ll start with a first level character using the 4d6 dice roll for stats.

You need to get at least the Players Handbook, and then all the supplements you want to use. All of them are available for download at http://www.4shared.com/. Being the supplement loving man that I am, I’m allowing pretty much every supplement. More specifically, I’m allowing every supplement in the following list, as well as any you can convince me of adding. Don’t bitch about the supplements. I am DM, and that makes me the personnel officer that hired the campaign gods, so I write the laws of space and time for the campaign. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to use them, but expect that I (and others), will. Still don’t like it? No one’s making you play, it’s that simple.

**Note from the Future: It has come to my attention (Thanks, Jeff) that 4shared has been hacked. Therefore, I suggest using this link instead http://rs.4chan.org/ If you cannot find any of the books that you want to use there, email, IM, PM or somehow or another get in contact with me and I'll find a way.**

Player’s Handbook II- Adds some interesting hybrid base classes and alternate features for most other base classes

Complete Divine- make your cleric completely awesome with new spells and domains! Or play with new divine classes with the spontaneous casting favored soul, the Asian shaman-like shugenja, or the totem worshiping Spirit shaman!

Complete Arcane- make your wizard/ sorcerer awesome with new spells/ schools! Or use the super-evoker warmage, the debuffing blaster warlock, or an elemental master Wu Jen!

Complete Adventurer- gives access to the ninja, a class focused on manipulating their ki to use more weird powers than you can shake a nunchaku at, the scout, a wilderness expert than gains bonuses for moving, and the spell thief, a rogue that augments his stealthy abilities with spell casting.

Complete warrior- help your martial class stand up to the unbalance of magic with more combat style feats than you can shake a +5 Keen Vorpal greatsword at! Or play as a hexblade, a swordsman with debuff magic, the swashbuckler, a warrior who buckles swashes and fights opponents with speed and finesse, or the noble samurai!

Tome of Battle- (aka the book of Weaboo Fightin’ Magicks) This tome of power completely destroys the unbalance of the 3.5 edition by giving martial classes sword magic known as ‘martial maneuvers’. Also known to make fighters complete cheese. Seriously, with some of the things that you can do with this book, you might as well play exalted. And while we’re on that, be sure to check out the exalted game Dietaku’s trying to start.

Book of Exalted deeds- A book that gives you exalted feats, which make good characters even gooder, but have the downside of adding a paladin-like code of conduct. But the benefits are pretty good to outweigh that downside, and can add a lot of flavor to a character. A must if playing a paladin, cause then you get no penalties for some nice stuff.

Book of Vile Darkness- makes evil characters even eviler. Not geared towards PCs, it’s more of a DMs reference. But if you want to play an evil pc, it might be worth a look

Book of Lawful Dickishness, Pamphlet of Chaotic Shits and Giggles (Chaotic people couldn’t sit down and read an entire book ya know), and Book of Neutral Inactivity- Sadly, these books don’t exist. And I was looking forward to making my chaotic characters even crazier, my lawful characters even bigger jerks and my neutral characters even more neutral.

Libris Mortis- for those of you who can’t understand basic Latin, the name literally means books of the dead. Don’t get it unless for some sick reason you want to play as an undead.

Unearthed Arcana- A rather strange books, this gives a ton of alternate classes/ features, like CG, CE, and LE paladin variants. Check with me before using anything out of this book, kay?

Monster Manuals I, II, III, IV, V- unless you’re dead set on using a monster race/ template, don’t bother. Even then, check with me first, ‘cause I’ve got an index of all the races and templates.

If you find some other supplement that I did not put up there that you want to use, I’m always open to adding more to the campaign. The only supplements that I say will not be used now are psionics. We already have one way to bend reality and alter space and time, we don’t need another.

UPDATE 10/26/09
Some more supplements I will be including:

Complete Mage
Magic of Incarnum
Miniatures Handbook
Tome of Magic
Races of Destiny
Races of the Wild
Race of the Dragon
Races of Stone
Dragon Magic

Deities for this campaign-

Sol Invictus- a Sun and War god, cause every campaign needs a Sun god and a War god, right? Of course right. His alignment is NG, and his domains are Protection, War, Sun and Good. His weapon is the mace

Xom- A god of chaos that has been likened to a 5 year old child with the power to destroy the universe. He doesn’t so much have worshipers and clerics as playthings. His alignment is CN and his domains are Chaos, madness, mutation, and luck. His weapon is the handaxe/ natural weapons

Ayashi- the keeper of the Akashic records, he likes travelling around and finding odd bits of lore and knowledge. His alignment is LN, and his domains are Travel, Knowledge, Law, and magic. His weapon is the quarterstaff

Alkina- Moon and war godess. Sol’s sister. She does a lot of crazy things and has a penchant for turning people’s body parts into weapons. Her four canines have been forged into powerful sentient magical swords. Her alignment is CG and her domains are Chaos, Good, War, and Strength. Her weapon is the scimitar.

Achlys- Death god. He used to be a full fledged god of evil, but Alkina stole, well, his equipment, and turned it into a lance. He’s really pissed about it and wants to get it back. He likes making undead to send against Alkina, but she don’t mind cause they’re just more stuff for her to kill. His Alignment is NE and his domains are Evil, death, undeath, and plague. His weapon is the dagger

Antigone of the Blazing Sands- also known as the Black god of Destruction, she was a mortal who caused so much destruction that the fear of the surviving populace caused her to ascend. Her alignment is CN and her domains are Chaos, Destruction, Fire, and Cats. Her weapon is the greatsword (wielded one handed)

Feel free to add a deity you’d want your character to worship, but please recognize that these gods are going to be the ones with the largest/ most organized religions. At best the religions of deities you make will be localized cults.

Basic demographics-
The central region of the campaign world is mostly plains with a few interspersed hills and forests. It is populated with many human cities and Halfling villages.

The Western Region is mostly ocean, with occasional islands. Each island has a unique ecosystem, but most are forested and populated almost exclusively by monstrous humanoids (as far as humanoids go, that is)

The Eastern Region is mostly woodlands, populated by hippies (elves and druids both) and monstrous humanoids.

The South is a giant desert. Not a whole lot of stuff lives down there.

To the North is frozen mountains. Not a whole lot of stuff lives up there, either, except dwarves.

Update 10/26/09

New deities:
Gaia- Earth goddess- N- Domains: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Weather

Roth- Weather god, usually worshiped by dwarves. dying god. -CG- Domains: Weather, Air, Chaos, Good

Jormungand- Dragon god, the "Shield that Protects the World"- NG- Domains: Protection, Sky, Good, Fire, Dragon.

Tiamat- Evil dragon deity- NE- Domains: Fire, Cold, Earth, Air, Water, Dragon

I'm game, as always. I'll post my character in my usual place, but I just wanted to point out that the site you linked us to doesn't have the core book (in English, anyways). Dietaku and I checked. Just a heads-up.

Alright, I take that to mean that no one else is interested at the moment, so let us begin...

You begin in the Rusty Cutlass, an tavern frequented by sailors in the coastal city of Abalone. The two of you are siting at a table with a young human thief of your acquaintance by the name of Colm. In one corner of the tavern, a bard is singing a woeful ballad. In the opposite corner an old drunken sailor is spouting out stories of his adventures sailing with some dreaded pirate captain. In a third corner sits a nondescript man wearing worn leather armour with a longsword on his back and two shortswords at his waist.

What will you do?
