Welcome one and all to Cog-Sean’s first LP!!!! Before we begin I'm going to go ahead and label this NSFW since I am not really sure how my commentary on this thing will turn out, and I would rather not have to censor myself... The game of choice for my first LP is the Mecha strategy game created by Square, and G-Craft Front Mission 1st!!! (NOTE: Please forgive me if the spelling and grammar is not the greatest in the world, I am not super great at the writings like other people on this forum that are published authors.) (NOTE: This is a pretty long game, so the updates will not be super frequent, but I will make sure they are big updates)  This game is the first of the Front Mission series and was first released in 1995, and I will be playing a translated ROM of the original game. (NOTE: Front Mission 1st was the title of the Japanese release of the game, it was changed to just Front Mission when it was released in the US.) Title sounds familiar doesn't it???  Now before we begin, here is the basic gist of the back-story: It is the far future, were futuristic warfare is fought by futuristic people that use giant futuristic MechWarrior rip-offs known as Wanzers (lol Wanzers...) Currently there is a major conflict between two rival supernations: Oceana Continental Union (OCU): A Supernation comprised of Japan, Australia, a number of countries in Southeast Asia, and some Pacific islands. VS United States of the New Continent A.K.A The Unified Continental States (USN): A Supernation consisting of North America and South America, formed in response to the creation of the OCU. Gee...Just guess who the bad guy is gonna be... The two supernations are in a deadlock over the Territory of Huffman Island. Now meet our main character the OCU pilot Lloyd! He will be our hero today!  Now let the old school robot destruction begin!!! So, during the first, and very long and detailed, mission briefing, Lloyd is told take his crew from a place called Menasa which is controlled by the OCU and go recon the USN base Fort Monus to investigate an enemy factory. He is also told that he is by no means to engage in any hostile activity towards the USN because of the political tension between the two nations… So our hero arrives on the scene, and meets up with his girl Karen:       Oh shit, looks like Lloyd is gonna hav ta smack a bitch!!!  Ooooo foreshadowing... Why are they checking out the base???  because they are all to busy getting some from their secretaries to give a shit...      Driscoll shows up...  lol...That's what she said...really... she just said it...you saw!  But I thought the game just started...      WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (...like that wasn't an obvious set up lol)   What evidence?   What fucking evidence!!!??? No one saw anything!!! What the hell was in the base that was so damn secret that they decided to destroy all the evidence BEFORE ANYONE ACTUALLY SAW IT!!! Driscoll if you were a smart villain, you would have just killed Lloyd's entire crew since your Wanzermobile is obviously custom and way more powerful then any of the tin shit Lloyd is using!!! Then you wouldn't have had to blow up a damn thing, and you guys would still have a usable base... oh well... Any way... afterward, this event was called the Larcus incident, and the USN claimed the OCU destroyed their base intentionally, which the OCU said, "No you guys are faking we didn't do shit!",but then the USN replied, "We don't belive you stupids!!!" and then both sides put their forces on red alert (ah is see what you did thar Driscoll... you sly fox you...) One year later, Huffman Island, became a territory of the OCU. Menwhile, everyone that was involved in the Larcus incident was quickly canned, and a year later our hero Lloyd, has quit the military, and has become a gladiator!!! Then one day an unknown man shows up!       Lloyd says that's no good!  and Olson kicks for the ballz  Turns out Olson is no fool, and did a google search on Lloyd...  Then Olson says the words that win Lloyd over... "You can find your fiancee's killer!" and then Lloyd says, "mmmKAY" to be continued... Edited by Cog-Sean, May 14 2009, 01:01 AM.
