If you're not familiar with the Mazin Saga (Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, and Mazinkaiser), this is THE first robot anime, and the one to pioneer the fact that you can ride IN your robot. Yes, that was revolutionary for its time. ALSO! it established many of the tropes of Super Robots, even to this day (Rocket punch, lasers, calling out your attacks, monster of the week, etc.). if you enjoyed Gurren Lagann (As I know MANY here did) you'll LOVE this series. Plus, Imagwa of G Gundam, Giant Robo and Getter Robo Armageddon fame is directing it, so you know its going to batshit AWESOME! Thoughts?
