Just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in playing Magic The Gathering Online, and forming a clan, with the goal of having fun playing a lot of magic together and maybe eventually (eventually being the key word!) try to enter 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 tournaments!

Some info about magic online:

To start off with, you need to get an account. Pay $9.99 in the online store. This will get you a coupon for $9.99 to spend in the online store, so making an account this way is essentially free, only requiring you to spend $10 in the store on product.

1.it is completely free to play MTGO, there are no monthly fees, all you are really paying for are the cards.

2.The prices for the cards online match the prices of buying the cards in the real world, this is because you can redeem your online cards for the real cards, if you wish, which they will mail to you.

examples: 15 card booster packs = $3.99
40 card Tenth edition Theme decks = $8.99
60 card pre-constructed Theme decks = $12.29

Also, MTGO holds tournaments, Premier events and leagues daily, that support all formats of playing magic including Standard, Extended, Classic, 8 player draft, 8 player constructed, sealed swiss queues, pauper, singelton, 100 card singelton, commander, 2 headed giant, ext...ext...ext... the list goes on and on...

Tournaments, Premier events, and leagues all support player rewards were you can win rare cards, booster packs, and even money. In fact MTGO has also begun it's annual Magic Online 2009 Championship Series:

1st place winner = $13,000
2nd place winner = $9,000
3rd - 4th = $6,000
5th - 8th = $4,000

any way, if you have any more questions about MTGO you can check out the faq section of the sight here: http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1017771

or just ask me on this topic...

If you decide to join in the fun, let me know and I'll let you know what my SN is on MTGO and we'll hopefully have a lot of fun!!!
