Tv-Nihon has just release the first episode of Kamen Rider Decade! I have only watched the first 5mins, and all I can say is..... WIN BABY FUCKING WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I don't even care any more if his suit looks like a vagina, all you need to see is the first 5 mins... and you will understand!) Edited by Cog-Sean, Jan 29 2009, 11:54 PM.

The part where he beats EVERYONE within those 5 minutes, and I do mean everyone? That made me more nervous than elated (though the fight scene WAS epic badassery in motion) because now I'm just concerned that they'll make Kamen Rider Manko there into the next Marty Stu, and Tendou was bad enough as it was, we don't need another. My concerns aside, however, the writers from Kamen Rider Blade are on tap this time around - so all signs point to this being full of awesome and win, especially since Hibiki is back! |

I think Tendou was one of the better characters they have had, I mean hes like the Chuck Noris of the Kamen Rider series. Honestly, I think I would rather another (hopefully more) bad ass "Marty Stu" then another pussified coming of age story about some stupid pretty boy, that I can't relate to because of all the homo-erotic undertones for all the fan girls... yes I'm talking about you Wataru (it tells you something about a show's story when the only parts you really look forward to are when the main character transforms to kill things, and your pissed off because the main character doesn't grow a pair till like the last 10 episodes or so...) I'm not saying I hate kiva, I actually do enjoy the show it's just I don't really like Wataru at all until he transforms... I actually think Keisuke is my favorite character in Kiva. Also, I am glad that Masahiro Inoue (the actor playing decade) does not have any were near the same girly figure that the guy that plays wataru has. I also like that decade's character doesn't seem like kiva or den-o in that the main characters are just "pussys with guns in their hands". I guess it just balances it out a little better... I mean MY GOD! could you imagine if kamen rider Manko's character looked and acted more like wataru? He would really not only look like a pussy but he would act like one too. At least this way the flamboyant suit is balanced out by a more bad ass character. I think it is also going to be awsome getting to see all the Heisei era kamen riders in one show. I agree with Jeff. Decade slaughtering all the other riders makes me skeptical. The only thing that makes it a step up from most "BEAT EVERYONE EASILY LOL" Characters is that it makes some logical sense, It's assumed that during this scene, Decade has essentially all of the powers of the other riders in one vagina looking package. So yeah, it makes sense, but that still doesn't justify that he slaughtered at least TWENTY (non mass produced) RIDERS WITHOUT ANY INDICATION OF EXHAUSTION. Granted, that was a dream that I guess we're to assume is either the inevitable future or what happened already, but still.... I certainly hope that Tsukasa\Decade winds up picking a third option, and not just kill off every other rider (Or if anything, just kill off the douchebag riders.), or I'm going to be a wee bit pissed. Regardless, I'll wait for more than the first episode. I'll admit I like the concept and seeing all the riders fighting was awesome, I just hope this goes in the right direction. (Also, Cog, when Jeff and I mean Marty-Stu, we're talking about how Tendou had no discernible flaws aside from his fucked up family issues. Once can be flawed and still be a badass.) |

Well I think you can already tell from the first episode that Tsukasa is not going to be like tendou, I mean did you hear him ever once spouting off how fucking better he was then everyone else? I know what was meant by "Marty-Stu" and I was just basically trying to state that I would rather a Kamen rider with no flaws that kicks ass and takes names over a little pussy wimp. Also, I have been thinking a lot about it, and I think that I need to retract my statement about me enjoying Kamen Rider Kiva. It has really taken me forever and a day to actually get through both kamen rider Kiva and Den-o, and I have realized that the only thing keeping my interest in those two shows is like 1 or 2 supporting characters, because I really see both of the main characters in those shows as worthless and they just suck the life out of their respected shows. Wataru is a freaking yoai fan's dream and doesn't grow a pair till like the last 10 episodes, so what is the point in watching a show were you have to suffer through the first 40 of 50ish episodes before the main character of the story actually becomes moderately interesting rather then a complete loser. As for Den-o the main character is once again a complete and udder loser who can do nothing for himself and has to rely on all of his imagin friends to do the dirty work for him until he gets his overly uber broken forms can he fight for himself... so unfortunately I think I am going to give up on both of those kamen rider series and categorize them as FAIL in my book... Kamen Rider Kiva= cool outfits, ok supporting cast, loser main character=FAIL Kamen Rider Den-o= ok outfits, good supporting cast, loser main character = FAIL I personally think that the kamen rider series needs more kamen riders like Hibiki! I think that Hibiki's character and all of the supporting characters have been the best the kamen rider series has seen so far, also Hibiki is the best marriage of bad ass with flaws that any of the series have seen. Amen, brother. It's just a pity there's so much fanfaggotry concerning Hibiki (I don't care to count the number of fanboiz on TV-Nihon condemning Hibiki and in the same breath admitting they've NEVER EVEN SEEN IT BEFORE). I'm glad Hibiki is back (even though I'm 99% sure they replaced his actor) and seems to be taken quite seriously so that much is good. While I do agree Tsukasa is a step in the right direction away from Ryoutarou and Wataru, I can't bring myself to dislike their respective series, but to each their own, right? Either way, again, they have Kamen Rider Blade's writer on-tap and I find it safe to say anyone who's seen Blade from start to end knows what great stuff that guy/guys can do, as Blade was easily one of the best-written series of the franchise. I'm willing to bet that, due to the show's target audiences (Kids, housewives) that the execution of previous riders will more than likely not happen, that is unless Decade is Kamen Rider's "Metal Gear Solid 2" (the creators TRYING to get themselves fired), which granted the sheer volume of vagina-ness and ambiguous intro wouldn't shock me should that be the case. But any real speculation thrown about now seems a little premature. Regrettably, I will not be watching Decade along with the rest of you, as I have ~180 episodes of Bleach awaiting me, and by the time I'm done with that, I hope Ryuki will be fully-subbed too. Here's to another great year of Kamen Rider awesome! |

Wataru is the mastermind. He plans to have Decade go to the other riders worlds. If they go Chronologically like I think they are, Kiva would be last. Once Decade has the powers of the other riders, Wataru's going to use his Fangire powers to absorb Tsukasa's life energy and become the ultimate rider. You may say it's Epileptic Trees, but I say it's BRILLIANCE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *Tranquilized* |

It's sad how easily I can see that happening. If that IS the case, then Wataru is one evil, sick son of a bitch who pretty much STAGED every part of Kiva from start to finish in order to backstab everyone and gain insane power. That's... strangely cool, actually... |
