Austin, or as he's been going on the board Azir\TwilightShade, is now the board's first RP Moderator, and is in charge of the Four Against Nature Arena RP System, which I imagine will be a nice throwback to those of us who migrated here from Gaming Overkill.

the Board FAQ has been updated to add a few more questions (and the new ranks that Jeff has so very kindly postwhored for earned.) Hopefully some of the additions will give you some more insight into Four Against Nature.

These are in effect immediately.

Rule 2 (Proper Posting Habits) Addendum:

2e. You will not post for the sake of getting a milestone post (1000th, 2000th, etc) and topics announcing a milestone will be deleted. The current topics in A Seafaring Turnout that have done this will be simply locked.

Basis for Addition: DDR-Attack's "omg pwnzr xth post" topics and his postwhoring to get to the aforementioned milestone was getting uncomfortably close to 4chan's "GET" levels.

Rule 6 (We don't want outside matters carried here) Addendum:

6b. The only exception to this rule is if the offending party has done something illegal, at which point actions will be taken provided sufficient proof has been given.

Basis for Addition: Common Sense and so as to not give people the wrong idea.

You might have noticed how the forum magically lost ~100 or so posts today. That is not a glitch, nor a belated April Fool's Day prank. I personally went through FAN today and cleaned out useless, dead/inactive, junk and political topics. Sorry if a topic you made got deleted, that's just the way the ball bounces.

Also, several topics were shifted around to their proper location (ex: completed stories moved to the archive) and a few other minor modifications went underway. Sorry for any inconvenience this might've caused, and we hope you continue enjoying your time here at FAN. Thank you for your time and consideration.

No official announcement was made outside the suggestion box so I officially announce here the Grand Opening of "The Kitchen" area for all culinary discussions of all sorts.

In related news, the new sub-forum "Let's All Play!" has been added under the Video Game Section for all Let's Play posting and LP discussion!

If you had an approved character from Gaming Overkill, it's auto-approved here. No need for me to look through it and re-approve if nothing's changed.

Liek, ZOMG! We actually got 1000 Board Posts...in what, three months? Not bad for an infant forum. The 1000th post goes to DDR-Attack, so congrats for either having no life or just being freakin' lucky. XD

Section 2 has been updated to include a new addition to Customizations: Sparring Mode. In Sparring Mode, it ends whenever the turns\time run out and there is no HP or Damage. Turn Limit is reduced to a maximum of 25 and Time limit to a maximum of two hours. Also, the match will not be added to a win\loss record. Also, it adds a note at the beginning to section 2, so I suggest reading that.

I finally got off my lazy arse and put up the images for Forum status (Posts or no) and the Banner. I also used an image for Board Statistics. Thanks to ddr-attack for the banner and Shadowspaz for all the logo work.

There's still some things I could use, but I honestly couldn't care THAT badly, but if someone wants to, here's what I need still:

The rest I'll probably figure out something that takes minimal effort or if not, ask for those as well.

After a fair bit of work setting up the RP Board Guidelines, I am now ready to release the Board!
