i'm a big RPG fan, and used to be huge console guy.. But over the years, I have found a taste for some pc games. And one of my favorite rpg ever is Neverwinter Nights, a rather unusual D&D-based PC rpg. It's closer to tabletop in feels than ever, with the opportunity to make YOUR OWN adventures. And even be the DM. ^^ |

The story of the original campaign and the two add-ons (and somes of the luxe modules) are all set in the same classic D&D world, the Forgotten realms (home of Drizzt Do'Urden, Elminster and all). Which have a certain similarity, being 'tolkien-like' on some aspects (but varying on numbers of points). It's a third person game, where you can make a character along trhe 3,0 rules, with all base options possible (modified at times for hardware limitations). It's absolutly possible to play multiplayers, and party out. Now, the game is a bit 'old' - it came out in 2002, if I can remember, so the 3d models look dated by now with the X-Box360, Wii, PS3... But you can get a complete colection for like 30$, which is rather nice, and the structure ofthe game with the modularity and customisaton allow you to play for along time.

well, I am one who never look hugely on graphics... This character is the one I have made for some low level games in Neverwinter Nights (I would surely remake him in NWN 2 if I could make it work...) It is a low grade Red Wizard of Thay, the elite class of this evil magocratic tyranny. Level 4 at the time.

Here is a nice little gameplay demo video/AMV of sort, with a guy displaying his Epic levels Wizard on a song by the classic metal singer Dio. X3 http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=eYRB0bFTYqU I want a Metal Mage Prestige Class.... XD |
