The story of the original campaign and the two add-ons (and somes of the luxe modules) are all set in the same classic D&D world, the Forgotten realms (home of Drizzt Do'Urden, Elminster and all). Which have a certain similarity, being 'tolkien-like' on some aspects (but varying on numbers of points). It's a third person game, where you can make a character along trhe 3,0 rules, with all base options possible (modified at times for hardware limitations). It's absolutly possible to play multiplayers, and party out. Now, the game is a bit 'old' - it came out in 2002, if I can remember, so the 3d models look dated by now with the X-Box360, Wii, PS3... But you can get a complete colection for like 30$, which is rather nice, and the structure ofthe game with the modularity and customisaton allow you to play for along time.
