Tour de France. The most famous cycling race in the world, and it's as open as it has been the last couple of years so there's no real favorite for the yellow jersey. Following are possible winners Alberto Contador (#2 in 2007 (officially the winner due to fucking hypocrisy)) Levi Leipheimer (consistent climber and good time trialist) Lance Armstrong Andy Schleck (winner of the youth competition last year) Frank Schleck (was wearing the yellow jersey at a time last year, won Alpe d'Huez 2006) Fabian Cancellara (World's best time trialist - but how good is he in the mountains) Carlos Sastre (winner 2008) Denis Menchov (If he doesn't choke and a stage like he usually does, he can win - has won both the Giro (Italy) and Vuelta(Spain)) Robert Gesink (talented young dutchman - great climber) Cadel Evans (can follow the best in the mountains but can't attack) Alejandro Valverde (great talent but also problems with choking on a stage - maybe disqualified due to doping) |

The only Aussie with any chance is Cadel Evans. Then again, he just has to keep up with the others in the mountains and make sure Cancellara isn't there. |
