Champions League Group Stage Draw, 2009 So here are the groups, then! Group A Bayern Munich Juventus Bordeaux Maccabi Haifa Group B Manchester United CSKA Moscow Besiktas Wolfsburg Won't complain, we've got a pretty easy group! Group C AC Milan Real Madrid Marseille Zurich Group D Chelsea Porto Atletico Madrid APOEL Not too bad, I definitely think Chelsea can beat any of these teams. Porto are good, Atletico too, but Chelsea better. Group E Liverpool Lyon Fiorentina Debrecen Easy for Liverpool, they'd probably have most difficulty with Lyon. Group F Barcelona Inter Milan Dynamo Kiev Rubin Group G Sevilla Rangers Stuttgart Unirea Urziceni Group H Arsenal AZ Alkmaar Olympiacos Standard Poo on Arsenal! Alkmaar's got an Estonian player, so I want them to win! :P There's nothing I'd love more than for Arsenal and cheater Eduardo to crash out of the Champions League in the group stages! |

I can't believe one of the English teams missed Inter and Real. I'm looking forward to when Jose comes back to the Bridge for a game Our group could defo have been better but the traveling isn't too much so can't complain on that side of things. There are chances for Liverpool to defo slip up in their group, that could be tough. Your traveling Nettie isn't too clever! Moscow is a long way to go for a mid week game, games in Turkey can be difficult and Wolfsburg were not the team you would have wanted to get from pot 4!! That group won't be easy. |

I suppose you'll be going to Spain, Portugal or wherever APOEL are from then Malty? If we were in the CL, and obviously had the money to go, my main interests would be the country i'd be visiting! ![]() You've got good teams in your group, but I still think you'll go through without too much difficulty. Kaka returning to the san siro shall be interesting...

I don't know, the travelling will be difficult, but I think we can handle it. We've had it tough like that before, so I can't say. Of course I am worried about it, would've rather drawn someone from closer, but in terms of the teams they are, I would rather have the ones in my group than have to face Inter, Milan, Real, Barca, or another English team. Or one of the good French/Portuguese clubs. |
