It seems we have come to a brick wall on an issue we could not resolve in the meeting. The issue is this: People aren't sure whether or not we should eliminate the brigades altogether, and just unite the Flaming Falcdors. The problem that we have separate groups that everyone can join. For example, a Left 4 Dead 2 group. This group would sometimes get together and play l4d2, on top of clan stuff. However, that creates more problems then it fixes.

What I would like all of you to do is this: Make a post here, in this thread, stating what we should do. Remember to use good spelling and grammar and keep your arguments sane. Write out what you propose, then I will review all of them. Once I find one that fits and suits our clan, I will implement that plan. If I find that none are satisfactory, then I may use a combination of a couple suggestions.

Help me make the clan better, and give yourself a chance make a difference in this clan.

i think that we should seperate the brigades altogether, because seperating them causes more problems between eachother, and might cause more arguements in the near future. i think that we should become one clan and one clan only. if u seperate the clan into 2 brigades, it's practically 2 clans.

I think that we should have colour on our emblem for our ranks. this would bring order to the ranks and still give us the clan look. the emblem is phoenix with the shield background, not toggled so that it has 2 shields, from the phoenix it self and the background for a trim. I hope this helps but if not it is my opion.

i think we should just eliminate the brigades and have differnent groups that we can join by groups i mean forge groups clan battle groups and recruiting groups and there should be a team to help devon manage the clan but people would have to show their prowess to join one of these groups so i twould kinda be like a country like the president and his secret service(people who help devon) foreign affairs( clan battles) and whatever forge would be then there are all the inhabitants traing to get in a group or just dont want to be in one

Hey Guys,

I'm going to have to go with Demo on this one.

Having brigades with 30 members is like having two separate clans. The idea behind brigades in bigger clans is to sort out battlegroups for either a) competitions or b) timezone-related gameplay.

I like Demo's idea of having a symbol as a rank. The Falcon shold stay on to recognise us as a clan, and some mention in everyone's BIO would be nice, and a different background should be equivalent to different ranks/roles.

Whilst two brigades remains fun during the meetings for promotion matches, it seems impractical at the moment.

If we were to enter tournaments, teams could always be arranged here on the forums. Just my humble opinion.

Peace guys,

Goldfish.

Wow, we're getting some really good imput. Thanks for the ideas, guys.

One thing is clear and is something that must be done: Brigades must be removed. I think we can all agree that, although cool, they are not right for our clan right now.

The system of "groups" for legit games (L4D2, Modern Warfare 2, Halo 3, etc.) seems really fun to be a part of. I'm thinking members should be allowed to join some kind of Pre-Member list for all groups, but if they want onto a serious roster then they have to attend meetings, perform tasks, etc. Think about it, each "group" leader could have their own ranking system.

For those people were ticked about a loss of Officer Promotion's, this new system provides MANY more.

HOWEVER, I STRONGLY THINK WE SHOULD STILL HAVE BASIS IN HALO 3 (a.k.a. all members must own a copy of Halo 3 for meetings).

This would be VERY attractive for new members, as they would come for Halo 3 and also find a home in the other "groups".

Also, instead of "groups", they should be called "wings" (Like the wings of Falcdor!!).

I think I dropped some pretty solid ideas. Keep em' coming, you guys! :D

@imedel I have to disagree, as if we remove the brigades, people cannot be confused as there is no separation of members. Therefore, there will only be one group.

@WarriorOfWater implementing the clan into new games is a great idea, and easy to implement into MW2 at least as a start. The use of mainstream games to attract members would be nice as well, promoting that we play the "big name" games is always a good move. I would suggest using Raptr to draw more members, as well as the Classifieds on Bungie.Net and also MyHaloLife.com

Just post messages about the clan around the web, and we can gain some more members :D

Peace guys,

Goldfish.

Warrior is right ( for once :D )
Brigades out.
Wings/Groups in.
Brigades kinda seperate the clan as said before, because we only have about 10 members active on the site and clan activities, having brigades makes them even smaller.
e.g. 6 memebers in domination and 4 members in incineration (active) which is kinda small :ermm: ). We should really focus on getting more members before making all these groups and brigades.

Hope this helped.

Okay I've pretty much made my final decision, so here's how it goes:
  • Brigades are gone
  • Groups for other games/activities in
  • Groups DO NOT have their own ranks. They are not even organized by rank. You earn no ranks by participating in them. Instead, you get to play a game of your choosing with people you trust, that in itself is it's own reward.
  • Officer promotions will offer leadership ranks in these groups
  • We still have our meetings
  • The new unified group will be called "FF Redemption" in honor of the lost brigade.
As for the creation of the new groups, I am going to speak with the highest ranking members we have currently and ask them which groups they would be interested in. When one of you eventually does officer rank, you will not immediately be given a group to lead, you must propose it to me.We are also not having millions of groups out there, that would be stupid.

So basically, we are going with what I originally said. I will leave this thread open for another 24 hours, after which I will close it. So now's the time to make any last minute comments.
