Much as she'd enjoyed watching him squirm earlier - a fact that she felt a little guilty for - she found that she was even more pleased to see him start to relax. He still seemed tense and awkward but he no longer looked like he was about to spontaneously combust. Plus, there was the added advantage that she could now properly appreciate just how nice his smile was. The pantheress had to admit, she thought he was pretty damn cute.
As for his choice in entertainment, well...

Laser tag?! Her heart sang with geeky glee! She used to play a form of it back home. She was pretty good at it. It was one of the few times her friends ever noticed that she was female, and that was only because her smaller frame and superior agility made her an excellent scout.
The moment the cabbit had uttered those words, she knew - really knew - that she'd picked well.

"Sounds like fun," she purred, barely able to contain her enthusiasm. 'Though she was reluctant to tell him about her previous experience, for reasons that she wasn't quite sure of. "Wait just a second," she said before disappearing back up the tree in a blur of black and red. A moment later she was beside him, hoisting the strap of a small black bag onto her shoulder. Rosette smiled up at him. "I'm all yours, Zero," she teased fondly.

Zero figured he was going to have to take her the moment he had mentioned it. He hadn't expected her to get so excited about it, as opposed to idly curious. At once, he was both jazzed that such a hot babe was into something so geeky-yet-masculine (Like himself! ^_^ Ha ha... oy... -_-;) and concerned that it would be even more obvious that it had been a long time since last played. He half-expected her to come out from behind that tree in spandex, pads, and a visor.

He practically melted at those last words, brief, erotic images of what he might do with her if that were completely true flitting through his mind playfully. He pushed the thoughts aside, thinking them disrespectful and distracting. And maybe she wasn't into that. Well, only one way to find out. 'Whoa, first thing's first, Ray.' He smiled at the thought - and her - nonetheless.

"Shall we, then?" he inquired, offering an arm to hook her elbow around. Soon they were off in more or less the general direction of the Laser Tag arena. He only had to check his smart phone for directions once or twice, which he tried to do on the sly to hide the fact that he didn't entirely know where he was going. There were a couple nice-looking restaurants along the way that he took note of in case they wanted to get something to eat later.

The arena itself was part of a large arcade that Zero had never been to. Loud, noisy, and flashy, it could easily confuse any ingenue. Fortunately, Zero had wasted much of his youth in various arcades, giving him an unerring sense of direction in such environments. He would find the Laser Tag arena's front desk in no time. Probably.

((I think I'll leave it there if you want to get distracted by something else first.))

Rosette gently squeezed the cabbits arm as he guided them into the hectic arcade - albeit aided by surreptitious glaces at his phone, which she pretend not to notice but couldn't help thinking was rather cute. The arcade was an assault on her senses and she struggled to control the nervous twitching of her tail, sure that her normally sleek hair and fur were fluffing up. Don't ruin this, she scolded herself, get a grip!

She took a few deep breaths. Not exactly calm, but in more control, she took in the sights. She was from a small town and sometimes got freaked out by crowds or loud noises. Teens slouched from zombie shooter to racer, kids zig-zagged frantically between begging more money from their parents and whatever game gave off the most seizure-inducing flashing lights. It was bigger and louder here, alright, but the people were just the same - except for looking and sounding a little different, but that was to be expected.

The pantheress looked up at her companion and was surprised to find his face so close to hers. In her moment of panic, she must have unconciously pressed herself closer to him for reassurance. Shock had lowered her guard and, as she once again locked gazes with him, she felt vulnerable, naked. Her heart hammered against her ribs, her breath caught in her throat. All anxiety forgotten, she lost herself in the moment and in his eyes, everything else seemed to fade away. She could feel herself flushing. Frozen, she willed him to lean, to make her melt with his kiss...

((I don't think that was the kind of distraction you were talking about *chuckles* Thought I'd leave it there and see where you want to go with it))

Zero was starting to doubt his arcade navigation skills. It wasn't like there was a particular standard layout to them that he was aware of. Not once they get to this size, at least. He wasn't lost, per se, and the arcade wasn't exactly labyrinthine, but he was becoming more and more certain they were going the wrong direction.

The sensation of hot breath against his cheek made him acutely aware of Rosette's proximity. The gaudy, blaring atmosphere had worn down her resolve and she clung to him for support, emotionally more than physically. His head turned, eyes first, and again he found himself transfixed by those gray eyes. Much of the temerity in them was gone, revealing the shy, timid country kitten they previously hid. With his short sleeves, he could feel the thin cloth and the soft, warm bosom behind it, the distance between his hand and her thigh all but negligible.

He could feel the quickening of her heart, or maybe that was his own. Light and sound seemed to fade away, drowned out by the vision before him. Not having been this close to a woman before he couldn't say that he knew the look, and perhaps it was just his own wishful, hormone-driven imagination, but he could see that flush, that vulnerability, that desire, those parting lips, those bedroom eyes that beckoned to those baser instincts. Hers was a face that would bear no resistance, turn away no exploring lips, refuse no groping paw, nor rebuke no tearing claw. Right there, all but begging him to ravish her tender flesh and soft fur.

Ray's own eyes were wide with various emotions. Bewilderment at this sudden turn of events. Fascination at the licentious creature before him. Hunger for the pleasure she tempted him with. Did his breath slow, or was that time itself? Each sweet breath she took was like his own. He could feel a quivering in his chest, anticipation leaving a phantom sensation, a prophecy to be fulfilled by the pressing of hand or breast.

Dare he? Was this the moment? Did he have the right to claim this woman's body for his own? The cat in him was ready to strike, to pounce upon her in this vulnerable, willing state. The rabbit wanted to play it safe, back off, reassess the consequences, and save this energy for... whatever it was they came here to do. Although... perhaps... a little taste wasn't unwarranted...

Without escaping her hold outright, Zero's arm slid off her chest and around her side. His hand brushed at her dress and her thigh as it went by her tail and to the small of her back. The other hand rose up to brush a few errant locks from her face and came to rest beneath her jaw, tilting her head up slightly to better accommodate his own. The glaring lights of a nearby game of chance lit up, the bulbs activating in an ascending sequence to silhouette the two, although it went unnoticed by them. His eyes began to close, and...

A pair of excited kids came bounding one of the games, not noticing Zero until they slammed into his backside. Being shorter, the careened off of him below his center of gravity and managed to force him to reel back before falling forward. He toppled uncontrollably, taking Rosette with him and landing on top of her with his face in her cleavage. Now acutely aware of a social faux pas, for any observers if not Rosette herself, Zero shoved himself off of her and into a seated position by her side.

"Uh, uh, sorry!" he exclaimed almost pleadingly. This literally had never happened to him before and he hoped to GOD Rosette wasn't going to kill him. He got up and helped Rosette to her feet. "These kids, they came outta nowhere, didn't see where they were going, and..."

His eyes momentarily darted away, instantly focusing on a giant, neon sign reading, "Laser Tag." Oh. There it is.
