This is a furry-characters-only real-life-style RPG set in some city somewhere. We'll call it Radville, cus it's so rad. I know how lame I am.

The young ocelot padded down the streets, his tail whisking happily behind him. He wore a black hoodie (in the near-90s of the summer, no less) and some off-black cargo pants. A chain ran from his front to his back pocket on the right side, something he considered one of his identifying marks. He scratched the side of his nuzzle and yawned, walking beneath the shade of the park's trees. It was a lovely day out, it truly was, and he had decided to walk home from work that day. It was a near-hour mark, but it was a good time to enjoy life away from everything for a while.[/i]

"Hey!"

A black cabbit crossed the ocelot's path. Being a cabbit, he had a cat-like face, long, pointed ears, and yellow eyes. One ear when down the side of his face to his shoulder, the other draping over his eye. His fur was mostly black, but the fur on his chin and all the way down the front of his torso was white, as was a circle in the middle of his forehead. Of course, most of this was covered by a button-down, short-sleeved shirt and black pants. The cabbit walked up to the ocelot and scratched the back of his own head.

"So, uh... Whassup?"

The petite pantheress dropped out of a nearby tree, her short dress billowing around her in a flutter of fabric. She had grey eyes, dappled black fur and gravitated towards blacks and silvers in her daily dress. The only real colour contrast was the vibrant red hair which tumbled in waves down to her thighs like a flaming waterfall. On hot days such as these, she tended to wear short, low-cut, flowing dresses which showed off her feminine, feline figure. But she chose them for comfort, rather than vanity - when you're covered in black fur, you tend to absorb a lot of heat.
She lay back against the tree, casually, arms behind her back. Her tail twitched as she watched the two males.
"Guys are no good at small-talk," she smiled, rolling her eyes.
A small breeze briefly whipped up her hair and stirred the leaves, letting a ray of sunshine pierce through the canopy where it glinted momentarily off her necklace - moonstone set in silver.
"The name's Rosette," she announced.
She fixed them both in a gaze and awaited a response, the tip of her tail flicking impatiently.

The sound of the pantheress emerging from the foliage and landing on the ground, of fabric rising and falling with wind resistance and gravity around her diminutive frame, drew the cabbit's gaze towards her. His hand, the one he had been scratching the back of his head with, crested over his head, smoothing down his ears even as they began to perk up, before dropping down to his side. He watched her lean against the tree, unable to draw his eyes from her curves, especially her tail, until the wind tossed her hair and finally brought his attention to her face. He found her face somehow more entrancing than her body, with those mystifying, gray eyes.

"Hey... Rosette," he said, stepping forward and tried not to blush too hard. He caught himself scratching his head again and put that hand behind his back. The other hand he offered to her, palm supine. He smiled, hoping he didn't look too goofy. "I'm Ray, but everyone calls me Zero."

The dark feline eyed the cabbit with unveiled interest, taking a moment to enjoy seeing him squirm self-conciously before putting him out of his misery. Standing upright, she smiled brightly as she took his hand.
"An absolute pleasure to meet you," she purred (although, with her British accent and a naturally low register for a female, she usually sounded like she purred her words - when she didn't, she growled them and you knew you were in trouble).
"May I ask why they call you Zero?" Her grey eyes locked with his yellow ones. "From what I can see, it doesn't suit you at all," she winked flirtaciously.
She broke off the gaze to glace over the blushing males shoulder, towards the silent figure behind him.
"And who is your friend," she recaptured the cabbits gaze as she placed her free hand on his forearm and gently stroked her fingers down his fur, "Zero?"

She smiled inwardly to herself; perhaps today wouldn't be too boring after all.

The sensation of her taking his hand went through him like an electric shock, as if the realization that she was not some fantastic illusion made his heart skip a beat. His reaction, still smiling, was put another hand on top of hers as they gently shook. This was something he had been told to do when shaking hands with a woman, and although this was in the context of job interviews he was pretty sure it could be applied to most other situations. He resisted the urge to kiss that soft-furred hand like some smooth swashbuckler; he thought it might seem to aggressive.

He practically melted listening to the dulcet tones of her voice; her low voice gently massaged his eardrums even as her accent caressed those same tympanic membranes. Their eyes locked and he couldn't look away, nor did he want to, although concerns quickly rose that he might be too intent with his stare. He hurriedly tossed that idea aside.

"It's the mark on my forehead," He said, answering Rosette's first question. He slicked his ears back with his hand to reveal the white circle. "See? I kinda looks like a zero. Also, in Japanese 'Rei' means 'Zero,' although its not spelled the same as my name." He caught himself scratching the back of his head and put his hand down, allowing his ears to flop forward again. "There were a lot of Japanese kids in my old neighborhood..."

As for the second question, he quickly gestured back to the ocelot. "This is... uh..." He snapped his fingers a couple times as he tried to remember his name. Wait... Did he know the ocelot's name? This concern was quickly forgotten as Rosette reestablished eye contact and began stroking his arm. Her touch was so gentle and soft, like fine silk, that he almost forgot to breath. He stood there, mesmerized, his only reaction an involuntary swallowing of the saliva building up in his mouth.

Rosette chuckled softly to herself as her sensitive ears detected a slight hitch in the breathing of her new... friend? She pondered at that thought. Possibly. We'll see how things go.

"Hmm," she purred with honest interest, "Japanese? Very cultural!" She smiled warmly, holding his gaze. "Does that mean that I should call you 'Rei-san'? Or, perhaps... 'chan'?" She allowed herself to blush and incline her head down for a moment, but shot him a coy glance upwards.

She couldn't believe how easy this was. Back home, she'd always been known as something of a geek and wasn't really accustomed to the flatteringly intense gaze that the cabbit was gracing her with. It amazed her how much a change of scenery and a show of confidence could make.
She just hoped that the occasional nervous twitch of her tail didn't give her away. She was determined to make things work this time.

"Well, Zero," she said, tilting her head back up to meet his eyes again, wearing her most dazzling smile, "I just got into town and I don't really know anyone. I'm in the market for some new friends. You seem perfectly lovely. Do you think that you'd like to apply for a..." she hesitated for a beat before continuing, "position?"
She fluttered her long, thick eyelashes unashamedly - she was leopard, after all, she was supposed to be predatory.

As Ray recalled, he was oft referred to as "Zero-baka," as the kids generally didn't think very highly of him. In response to Rosette's question about his name, he chuckled and said, "I'm cool either way, but just 'Zero' is fine."

Ray thought this was going a little too well. He had always been something of a shrinking violet, but today he decided "Too Hell with it" and went out to make some friends. Girls weren't going to just walk up and ask him out if he didn't have an aura of confidence, and the only way to get that was to build it one experience at a time. Of course, he hadn't expected women to practically throw themselves at him like this, and it was actually starting to scare him a little. There was no telling what she really had in mind, which was thrilling in its own right, but experience was experience. Right? Even if she was faking it or he was going to have to make a daring escape from her basement dungeon or she was really a dude, he was determined to find out the hard way and become all the bolder because of it.

He might even get laid. So points there.

His brain nearly shorted out from overheating when Rosette propositioned him. If she had been any more forward, they might get arrested for indecent exposure. He was half-surprised steam wasn't shooting out of his ears or blood was trickling from his nose. The rabbit in him wanted to flee in terror while the cat wanted to pounce on her. The rabbit also had to admit that it wanted to breed profusely and prolifically, so fleeing was quickly voted out. Of course, what he was really afraid of at this point was totally blowing it.

"Heh, I'll take any position you want," he said, not entirely certain what else that could possibly mean. He just hoped he didn't sound like a retard. "I haven't lived her all that long, myself, but I'm sure I can give you the lay of the land." He wasn't too confident on either sense of that phrase, truthfully. He was just trying to keep up.

The pantheress practically buzzed with satisfaction and relief. She could barely believe that he'd taken the bait. Time to tone down the intesity a notch, she thought.

She gave the cabbit a warm and honest smile. He really did seem like a lovely guy and she felt a bit bad for trying to manipulate him. But all her life she'd been viewed as an entirely asexual entity and there was no way she was going to let that continue if she could help it. Anyway, she'd picked him because he looked pretty cute and he reminded her a little of her friends back home - sweet, a tad awkward and a little goofy, probably pretty smart too - 'though he didn't look at her as though she was his little sister. In fact, the looks she was receiving were shaking her resolve.
She really hadn't intended to jump straight into bed with anyone, she was pretty certain that she wasn't a "one night stand" kind of girl, but she had to admit that she really wanted...

Mentally shaking herself, she leant casually back against the tree in an attempt to get some air and space to think. Maybe make that "several notches", she amended, deciding to take the back seat for a while.

"OK then, Zero," she said, her mouth suddenly dry, "what would you like to do?"

Zero's heart was still beating a million miles a second, but he was feeling pretty good. Maybe it was the adrenaline from being so totally scared, or perhaps it was the other hormones associated with forming a new relationship with an attractive member of the opposite sex. Possibly both. The warm smile she gave him began to put him at ease, and he felt less like she was going to eat him alive. His smile became less nervous and more honestly pleased. This was more like someone he could hang out with, rather than just jump into bed with. Not that they couldn't do both. Hopefully not right away. He didn't want to move too fast.

His mind raced a little as she leaned back against the tree. Should he lean in? No, if she wanted him closer, she'd probably would've dragged him with her, judging from how direct she had been before. Not that he wouldn't mind moving in, but he wasn't that comfortable just yet. If his heart beat any faster, he was bound to rupture something.

His mind blanked when she asked him what he did for fun. Not that he didn't know how to have fun, but he wasn't sure if it was quite the way to show a girl a good time. A quick jaunt through memory lane kicked up something he hadn't done in years.

"Laser Tag," the words leapt from his lips almost of their own accord. He was pretty sure he knew where nearby Laser Tag arena was. "Yeah, Laser Tag is awesome. It's like paintball without the mess. Uh, you ever play?" He wasn't entirely certain he knew what he was talking about, but it sounded good so far.
