He continued to approach it, putting his hand against the side of it. It was a tight fit, so it only bumped slightly against the metal on the floor. He looked back at them, then back to the bathysphere. "Why is this here?" he asked aloud, his mind abuzz. He had forgotten all about his problems with Ron Bigley. This was too... intriguing. It caught his attention. Most things didn't; he noticed but ignored them. But this... It was a bathysphere two stories beneath a lighthouse sitting in the middle of the open ocean, some thousand miles from any other coastline. He turned toward the door and stepped inside, first pushing the door open the rest of the way. While the bathysphere had rusted slightly, the door hinges were fine. "This is incredible..." he said softly.

The man in the black fedora grinned, a childish sense of adventure filling him. He pulled his fedora a bit lower, and climbed in after the other man. He sat in the seat, grinning, his mouth the only visible thing on his face. "Let's ride it down." He said, beaming. "I mean, we'd die up here anyways."

Cherri seemed to stare a moment after stepping to the bathsphere. She circled around it, then stopped, staring in. "Does either one of you two even know how to dri-- pil-... Operate it? I certainly don't." She hesitated, almost not wanting to step in.

As if on cue, the entire building seemed to shake as that same loud, whale-like roar filled the lighthouse's inards. As Cherri fell into it, the bathysphere door slammed shut, hermetically sealing with a hiss. The lights outside--seen only though salt-stained glass--flickered and died. The water around the vessel bubbled as it descended quickly, the pressure in the vessel increasing. The man dropped his briefcase and stare through the clouded window, unable to see anything. He sighed and turned, slumping against the door and sliding to his ass. "Has to be me. . . just has to be me. Always my luck."

The man in the black fedora grinned more. "This is exciting!" He said, patting his legs in excitement. "Going to the bottom of the ocean! I wonder what's down there. Probably nothing, but still! Exciting!" He turned to Cherri, who had fell in. "So, You alright?"

Due to the ground rumbling, Cherri fell into the submersible with a frightened shriek. She recovered herself to her knees, turning back to door to see it slam shut. "What the hell?!" The showgirl payed no mind to the other's question, as if she didn't hear him. She pushed her back against the side of the bathysphere, opposite from the first male. Out of the corner of her eye she saw water raising through the clouded window, but couldn't see much more than that. "Well that solves the pilot problem." Cherri stared down, crossing her arms.
