Cherri crawled onto the shore from the water, having issues standing up. She was panting, and looking like she was a bit in pain. "I-i'm fine. Just kinda. Grr." She seemed to growl. One her hands travelled behind her, unbuttoning the gut squeezing corset a few buttons. Her other hand kept hold of it's front, not letting it fall. She wasn't giving a free striptease, not in these conditions anyway. "Ah, that's bettah." Cherri could breathe now she wasn't being constricted. Her eyes looked up the short staircase to to the door of the lighthouse. "Think anyone lives in there? And maybe something dry to spare for wear?" |

He snickered, then shivered. He was freezing. "Out here in the middle of the ocean? There shouldn't even be a light house out here! We're halfway to Europe by now!" he said, his voice filling with anger. He hated these two already. He trudged up the stairs, the sea relatively calm for being so far out at sea. He noticed that the large door into the lighthouse was open. It looked like no one had stepped foot on the miniature island for quite some time. He peer inside, nothing but a few, small lights on. They only created a light ambiance, however, and he couldn't see all the way inside. "Well, at least it's dry... come on you two!" he shouted over to them, clutching his briefcase. |

The man in the black fedora sighed. He looked at the ocean behind him, and at the sky. He had this odd feeling that he wouldn't see them again, for some odd reason. But he sighed again, and turned to the lighthouse. The ancient looking lighthouse had an ominous feeling to it, almost foreboding. But, he told himself, He can't stay out here. He looked down at his shoes, checked something, but decided against putting them on. He slung them over his shoulder, still carrying them, and walked towards the lighthouse. "I'm coming, I'm coming." He said, tilting his fedora down a bit. |

Cherri sighed, rebuttoning her corset so she didn't have to hold it up. She appraoched after the second male had started to. "You never know. Someone has to be maintaining it" she sneered. She looked in. The first was right, it was dry. Cherri pushed past him and went inside. "Ladies first." She wasn't a lady. She was a bitch. Cherri squinted, looked about in the dim light. She felt strange about this place as well, but really paid no attention to it. To be on some sort of land was better then being drifting in the ocean. |

The lights suddenly came on, shining light from above. The man shielded his eyes as he continued forward, looking up despite the harshness. He gasped as his eyes adjusted. The statue of a man jutted out from the wall, his face decayed by three decades of disrepair and salty air. A faded banner, once a glorious shade of red, hung between the side walls. "No... No gods or kings," he read. "Only man." He stared up, his mouth partially-open, in awe of the workmanship. He finally looked down, seeing two staircases descend into darkness. "This is... what is this?" he asked rhetorically. No one could possibly answer that question. |

The man in the Black Fedora walked up behind the lawyer and frowned, reading the banner. "This seems like hell, my friend." He joked grimly, looking down the stairs descending into blackness. "The question is, are we going down there?" |

Cherri looked about then to the stairs. "Nothing up here, might be something down there. I don't even see stairs upwards." She shifted her position to behind the males, almost afraid. "Might as well go down, not like we've got better to do." |

The lawyer continued down, holding the briefcase limply in one hand. He had the idea he would never be making it out, but while the lighthouse still shone out in the middle of the ocean there was still hope. He turned at the bottom of the stairs, a light going on above his head and down the next set. Some sort of metal sphere, a bit rusted, sat with its door open in the center of a pool of water. "A... a bathysphere? Under a lighthouse?" he said aloud, moving down a bit quicker. His curiosity was peaked, and he distracted himself from the tragedy of the boat (and his possible death should he ever be found by his biggest client) with these new oddities. |

The man in the black fedora sighed and followed the man down the stairs, idly thinking about life and death, but stopped, and whistled as he saw the bathysphere. "Woow, A submarine? Why would that be under here?" He had a few ideas, bu the question needed to be asked. He circled the pool, thinking. "I wonder what's down there... Other than our ship, that is." He sighed and leaned against a wall staring at the Bathysphere. What was down there? I bet it's big, since the entrance to it is in the middle of nowhere, and in the ocean, he thought. |

The showgirl was hesitant to follow the two down the stairs. She swalled the lingering fear and stepped down, staring at the stairs for anything that could injure her feet. Her attention shiftend to the submersible once it was mentioned. She took a few more steps down and then stopped. "It's a rusted chunk of scrap metal. What's so great about it?" Cherri scratched the back of her head. She was rather dumbfounded by this strange find. |
