The truth is, if Trump "has his way," tariffs between the US and Canada would be eliminated. That appears not to be something that Trudeau want to do. Why not? It's because Canada's import tariffs lead the pack: "Recent World Trade Organization data shows that America's average tariff for imported goods is 2.4%. Canada's average tariff for imported goods is 3.1%, and the EU's average tariff for imported goods is 3%. That's: Canada - 3.1% EU - 3.0% US - 2.4% |

quote: "Imports of passenger vehicles have grown to 48 per cent from 32 per cent of cars sold two decades ago while employment in auto production has declined 22 per cent, said Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. Trump's strategy appears aimed at returning the auto supply chain back to the U.S." I have to question the comprehension ability of those writing article like this. Our manufacturing and export business has been decimated by decades of failed leadership that resulted in an uneven playing field. It's our market, our meaning the United States. It's our jobs that were lost. it's our factories that were shuttered. Why can't foreigners and their liberal American supporters get it?

Why? Because they want the US to fail. |
