CBS has just reported that the spoiled child is going to stomp out of the G7 meeting in Quebec City early, and miss the Climate Change discussion, leaving the US out of any chance to profit from all the new technology coming online in the last while.

It will likely also prolong the use of oil and fossil fuels in some countries for a few more years.

I'm sure there will be "Thank You" letters in Trump's mailbox from China and Russia.

Whatever happened to "America First"?

And your spoiled child" PM is doing everything he can to profit from those fossil fuels, with no real, continual complaint from the Canadian left... not on this forum.. or much of anywhere I suspect.

•In 2016, Canada’s energy sector directly employed more than 270,000 people and indirectly supported over 600,000 jobs
•Canada’s energy sector accounts for almost 7% of nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
•Government revenues from energy were $12.9 billion in 2015
Canada is the sixth largest energy producer, the fifth largest net exporter, and the eighth largest consumer, IN THE WORLD. And Brew's province leads the pack.

Those are pretty high rating, considering THE WORLD and considering Canada's population (BTU per capita production).

Naw, Canada's child PM is apparently smarter than most Canadians when he looks at holding the economy together.... he wants the pipeline; he wants the production and he wants the exporting and he certainly isn't about to tell Canadians that they can't use fossil fuels.

And before Brew jumps on HYDRO, hydro energy and "other renewables" is only 8.1% of energy production in Canada.
Well!

Trump is doing his best to promote fossil fuels in the US.

What kind of super hypocrite would jump on Canada for doing the same thing?

Of course Trump is. He promotes it. I and most Americans have no problem with it. But obviously, you haven't noticed how Canadians (at least on this forum) point fingers (Brew's line: "It will likely also prolong the use of oil and fossil fuels in some countries for a few more years") without ever pointing at Canada's abuse of fossil fuels. This certainly is not the first incident. I sort of enjoy pointing that fact out. Of course, you being a ardent member of the LWOB organization, you will find fault with the U.S. vs other nations if it suits your political agenda. I see myself as being more patriotic. I don't mind your criticism of me and constant criticism of our president as Brew and the loyal LWOBs dish out on a regular basis. So I have no quams about dishing it right back where I feel it is deserved, as in this case, a deserved retort. I mean, you shouldn't be negative about "some countries" use/production of fossil fuels if your county is a leader of such. I suppose you have used your share in your day (and still are) of fossil fuel in one capacity or another, enough so that your criticism of Trump is hypocritical.

With homes in Washington, Arizona, Nevada and BC, I'm being crapped on because Canada decided to cheat on NAFTA. Why can't they just play be the rules? I'm glad I now have a president who is doing something to even the playing field.

And largely unnoticed:

Canadian farmers point out that despite the tariffs that protect them, imports make up 10% of the country’s dairy consumption. By contrast, the US restricts dairy imports to 3% of domestic consumption.

What is the actual amount in Dollars? Tell us that and you might have a case to make. But you will find that you don't because 3% of US domestic consumption is many times more in dollars than 10% of Canadian consumption. But then you and Sea Dog are not interested in REAL facts.
