Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL Windows 10 Phone-

It would have been nice to see you make a PHONE CALL!, I mean it is a phone isn't it? I don't like a whole lotta stuff on one device. I have a desktop and laptop computer, that's all I need for internet. I have a camera for pictures and a second camera for videos. I have a game system.

All I want to do is make and receive phone calls. Maybe a speaker phone option so I'm not always holding it up to my ear. That's all, I don't even want to text. Just Phone calls, that's it. Oh, one last thing, ,, ,,, CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW ?-

It's a generational thingy. The cell phone I have, they almost pay me to have/use it it's so basic. In the future, babies will probably be born with one already installed internally. That's how microscopic they will be... and they will be loaded with functions. The cost will be incorporated into the hospital/healthcare facility delivery service bill. That will be standard procedure, not optional... for propaganda and control purposes. That's progress(ivism.)

Well I got the closest thing to something I think "might" work for me. Still not sure and no one seems to be able to tell me. I'm going to have to get the phone, it should be at the site to store by Wednesday and then call and try to get ahold of a real person at Safelink where I have the service for this old phone. Someone told me what I have was a tracfone, so that's what I got. I like the flip down feature, my old phone don't have that. Below is what I ended up getting and it came to 26 something after tax. This link is long so I'm gonna try this url thingy at the top

Great news, got the new phone and after some doing with safelink, managed to have the service from the old phone moved to the new one, Other than learning some new features and getting the numbers programed in, I'm good. I really like this new phone so much better than the old one.

I'm flipping out over how this new phone flips closed. Has a clock on the outer cover and no more pressing buttons by mistake. It even tried to see my internet signal but I shut that down, Only want to make and receive calls. It keeps wanting me to use the touchscreen but no, I'm pressing the buttons. lol

My wife has the exact same phone that you just bought. She's happy with it.

Mine is the super basic Walmart special, a LG 328BG TracFone. I buy a card every 3 months and my minutes keep building. No pictures. No fancy gadgets. But not having a flip top like you and my wife, I keep it in my pocket and it keeps beeping, especially when I'm pumping iron. You'll probably be happy with the flip top, especially when you're pumping iron. I'll get one like yours when this one wears out or my daughter borrows it when she loses another one.

OK, ask her where does it show how many minutes is left on the phone. Looked all through the booklet that came with and I can't find it, on my old phone it was right at the center bottom, couldn't miss it.

Ask my wife?? Hell, she needs a refresher course every day just to turn it on. But yes, her phone doesn't show the time, neither does my daughter's and hers is one of those fancy, do-everything gadgets that works like a computer.

My phone is like your old one, minutes and days left are smack on the front. Your phone may have some way of telling you, but I can't help you. When it comes to phones, neither my wife or I read the manuals that come with it. We just want to turn it on and see if anyone calls, and hope they don't. Otherwise, I don't want to look at it, fool with it, find the news.... or even text... especially text.... the keys are too small for my fingers. If I want to know what's going on in the world, or information, I have my TV, locked into FOX News and FOX business; and, I have my desktop, where I'm at right now....... wasting what time I have left, "talking" with you about minutes and days left on phones, when I should be wondering how many minutes and days I have left, period. I should be spending my time just getting things in order. But, I procrastinate...... always have. The ole procrastinator.

Icy, I asked my wife this morning if her phone showed the date, the number of days and minutes left on the front. She said yes. She bought it new, out of the box. It showed no date, or number of days and minutes remaining until she bought a tracphone card (90 day, 120 minutes, or whatever) and put the code into the phone to activate it. Then it showed it. I mean, that's what she said... but you know how those women are with numbers and such. Hope that helps.

I went to walmart's so called expert and then to the phone people at at&t no one seems to be able to get the minutes to display. The thing is I'm using the phone with the safelink service where the gave me a free phone 5 years ago. You might call it an Obama phone or government phone. They started out giving me 250 minutes a month but sometime between then and now increased it up to 500. I seldom use more than 100 minutes and end up losing the 400 remaining.

The phone they gave me 5 years ago showed the talk minutes remaining, this one far as I can tell don't. Not a big deal but it would be nice to know what's on there at a glance like the old one.

A few people were surprised that I was able to buy a new phone and get safelink to transfer my service from their free one. I thought it was worth a try.

There was an app I had to download from google something play store. Now I have a icon on the screen I press to get the minutes left,

I also found the speaker option, really like that, I can set the phone down and walk away from it talking like the person was here in the room.

The only minor thing not, not a big deal, I have to dial the area code for local calls, I didn't have to do that with my old phone, It already knew my local area code.
