Why is it important that the President's Cabinet be "diverse"? Isn't it more important that the President-elect, any President-elect, select qualified persons regardless of sex, nationality, religion, etc. Why is it necessary to be politically correct? Why would anyone criticize a President-elect for his choices for his Cabinet for any reason by political philosophy. |

It really makes no difference but he will be criticized whomever he picks so if I were him I would pick who I wanted and let the critics do what they do. |

Conflicts of interests. Yeah, I know, you are blind to it. I have no problem seeing it. That's not to say Obama was any better, or others before him. But Trump made a big deal about how he was gonna drain the swamp. Can't blame people for calling him out on his lies when they are so easally exposed. |

It isn't important and any good leader would never ascribe to it. Those who promote it are the same who promote equal outcome liberalism. In other words wealth redistribution and the idea that everybody is equal in ability and is only held back by some excuse. If you want to win, then you choose people based on their skills and ability to perform the task better than another, not on sex, race or gender choice. |

Agree, but the Democrats seem to think that political correctness "trumps" (pardon the pun) ability. It also seems to me that the Democrats think they should have some say in who is chosen by the President-Elect. |

Let me use an example. You have a serious heart condition and are in the hospital in the critical care unit. The on duty doctor comes in and tells you that his diagnosis is you need two heart valves replaced immediately. Would your decision at that point be affected if you found out the doctor was awarded a place in college, then medical school and then nursed through internship and residency based on his or her gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and so forth? |
