I rarely Post Opinion Pieces, but this one Hits the Mark

This one's by By Glenn Rocess, who grew up racist in the Mississippi Delta, and now despises it with every breath.

If Obama's IQ is above 130 why doesn't it show in his decisions?

Hm, let me see here. On his first day in office, Obama faced an economy in freefall (we lost 800K jobs that month, remember), and we were in the middle of two very unpopular (and hugely expensive) wars.

Currently, we’re still in the middle of what is by FAR the longest streak of positive private-sector job growth in our nation’s history (every single month since September of 2010), he’s grown government at the slowest rate since Eisenhower, he’s cut the deficit by more than half since 2009 (when was the last time a Republican could say the same?), the news just came out TODAY that the weekly applications for unemployment insurance was at the lowest point in FORTY-THREE YEARS, and the news just came out today that housing construction jumped by the highest amount in over thirty years…

…AND he did all that while facing the worst degree of political obstruction faced by ANY president since the Civil War…and he’s faced that level of obstruction for longer than any other president has. I could list quite a few other truly significant accomplishments, but the above should suffice.

In other words, if one looks at where America is today compared to the day he first took office, Obama’s done very, very well indeed. That is, unless you’ve kept your head buried in the right-wing echo chamber where everything Obama’s ever done in his life was bad/terrible/evil/communist/socialist/whatever. What you should be doing is to look not only at what he’s done wrong (and he’s done a few things wrong as have all our presidents), but also at what he did that was not just right, but freaking great. Learn to look at issues from both sides of the story, not just from the view of the Right - only then can you really judge.

But be careful, ’cause looking at things from both sides of the issue is what convinced me to leave the GOP in ‘92. I’d happily voted for Reagan and Bush 41, but the GOP of today is led by people who couldn’t hold Reagan’s or Bush Sr’s jockstraps.

You're right, Neutral. If it weren't for left-wing blog opinion pieces, the America-hating Canadian would have nothing to post. He isn't smart enough to realize that OUR business is none of his business. Interloping is his specialty.

You are right Neut, Brew's choice of 15 answers given in the Quora article (https://www.quora.com/If-Obamas-IQ-is-above-130-why-doesnt-it-show-in-his-decisions ), is no surprise. It was the opinion of a radical who went from one extreme to the other in his "ideology" and choice of Party extreme. It was an opinion that didn't address the real question of IQ, but rather went into a biased monologue of how he sees Obama's tenure, all of which we've heard from Obama himself.... about himself and his accomplishments.

I didn't bother to read down through all 15 answers but the ones that I did, most addressed the question of IQ. The very first one wasn't bad. It pretty much said that IQ does not equal "wisdom" or good "decision making."

For a Democrat politician in leadership, such as we have seen over decades in cities, states and national, ignorance of the masses is BLISS. California, NYC, Baltimore, Chicago, are examples. Democrat IQ dictates that chaos is good for votes.

Thanks for the link, Ban. "IQ is not an absolute measure of talent." That is Obama, alright. That explains the question, "If Obama's IQ is above 130 why doesn't it show in his decisions?"

Anybody can fudge records or present a situation in a manner that it can be argued they did a fantastic job. If you want the truth though, you ask the customers what they think of the final product. In the case of judging the democrats in congress and president Obama, the customers that count, the middle class judged that he and his party did a horrible job. You have to ignore what the lower class and upper class have to say because under any situation they do great. It's the lunch pail group that know when the record is BS or true. They say it was BS. I'll take their word over this guy with his opinion.
