Does the supreme Court work the same there? Political appointments for life?
In Canada a Supreme Court Justice may serve until his/her 75th birthday when he/she must retire.
Thank you.

When judges deviate from the Constitution they are considered legislating from the bench. It makes no difference if they are liberal or conservative. However, most of the time it is liberal judges who think the Constitution is obsolete and therefor they must correct what they see as defects in society and deviate from the Constitution to do so.

Do you have any evidence for that assertion? Just asking.

Oh, I don't know, Ima.

They sure butchered the Second Amendment.
I don't agree with all their decisions either. However, a future court may interpret a similar challenge differently.

Roe vs Wade

They found a right which was not in the Constitution.

It is hardly a big secret that liberals think the Constitution is outdated.
