Yet Canada’s worried that it may not know who its next justice will be for a few more weeks. It must be nice to have a functioning government.

When did Canada's government start functioning? I have yet to see it.

The Supreme Court has important work to do.

We in Canada want that work done - and soon.

Apparently your Court isn't that important.

Work, as in legislating from the bench.

No. When it comes to U.S. federal constitutional law, the Supreme Court is the final interpreter as set out in the U.S. Constitution.

They legislate from the bench Ima, if you don't know that you have your head in the sand.

I would assume that you label it that way when you don't agree with the decision but not so when you agree with the decision.

Can you show where the Court has ever written and enacted a law?

Why do you think Reps and Dems are so concerned over the SCOTUS picks?
Of course they don't write law, that was a dumb question.
BTW, Obicare is the largest in recent memory.

Why do you think Reps and Dems are so concerned over the SCOTUS picks?
Because many laws are poorly worded leading to interpretations with which politicians from every part of the spectrum tend to disagree.

Then the Court doesn't legislate from the bench.
