We have excess capacity, what should we do with worker units we don't need?

Since you are one of the elites why don't you tell us what you are going to do?

Do you, as one of the excess, want to leave the decision to the elite's?

Are you, a retired worker unit, now useless in the grand scheme of things? Are you now just a waste?

I didn't think you had a answer. So typical of a so called self appointed elite.

Are the answers you want likely to come from the elite?

The answers are about what we live for and how we want to live, should we allow the elite to make those decisions for all people?

Do we stay with unmodified capitalism that makes the worker units or change how and where we live, convert the worker units to people? We have capital to change our lives for all or capital to put in fewer bigger piles for a few.

Offer some jobs at cost to keep the workforce employed. There are times when it behooves ownership to keep a skilled workforce in your employment at "cost" (no loss/no profit) for those times when your need goes up and your skilled workers are needed.

Ban,
That's socialistic, not maximizing the short term profit of the investor.

The answers are about what we live for and how we want to live, should we allow the elite to make those decisions for all people? (according to the thread, "Those damned racist Germans," Merkel has made that decision for all (German) people.

Do we stay with unmodified capitalism that makes the worker units or change how and where we live, convert the worker units to people? We have capital to change our lives for all or capital to put in fewer bigger piles for a few. (sometimes the owner has to provide service at cost to keep the people employed...... "at cost" means that the employer makes no profit either.... he/she is part of the social society. It depends how bad you want your business to stay competition ready.)

It's not socialistic if you do it with "keeping your business competitive" and ready when the business cycle turns upward. You have "maintained: your readiness and, if you calculate your costs properly, you've neither gained or lost revenues, you've just kept your business intact and ready for the come. You are doing it for capitalistic reasons (owner security and readiness, not so much for benign reasons.

I think the better question is what do we do with the elites? Off with their head?
