Pretty comprehensive study from a good source. Tell us conservatives, do they have it right? As far as I can see trhere are only two of those that can claim even reasonable credibiity. So all you conservatives, do you agree? Sources that are "more trusted" by conservatives: Rush Limpbaugh Glen Beck Sean Hannity Brietbart The Blaze Wall St Journal Fox http://www.journalism.org/2014/10/21/section-1-media-sources-distinct-favorites-emerge-on-the-left-and-right/ Edited by Stoned, Jun 29 2016, 09:10 PM.

To my own disgust, I've decided the most reliable of the bunch is the WSJ. Of course, that's like being the most honest man at a liar's convention. |

Anyone who reads the WSJ and also watches Fox must be really confused! |

I haven't read the WSJ in a long time but back when I did they were considered a world class newspaper with an editorial section from knuckle dragging la la land. I find that to be alright so long as the editorials stay out of the news section. That is not the case with Fox. Edited by Stoned, Jun 30 2016, 03:09 AM.

Trusted? I reference some articles from a source you probably consider less than credible. The error I find in your reasoning is that most news sources are news story compilers. The article or study did not originate their. I have trended towards news ans information sites you rarely see in the MSM. Now a question for you guys. Why do you reference obviously liberal leaning sites while at the same time complaining about sources that conservative use? Don't you think you are being hypocritical? |

Guilty. I, like most folks, tend to gravitate to those sources that reflect my viewpoint but they must represent it honestly. I try to check my sources and I do not offer stories that are just out and out bullcookies. If you can really prove my sources wrong you will do me a favor but you have to do it objectively, not just by putting up a factless contrary article. There are left leaning sites and there are liberal fantasy lands just as there are conservative. All sites, journalists and commentators make mistakes and gaffes, some more than others. Some as a way to make a living. I like those who, when making a mistake admit it. I used to spend a great deal of time fact checking the "pundits". Who was the best? Wait for it.......................................................... Rachel Maddow, by a mile. Not onlly for her original honesty and fairness but by her willingness to admit to and correct mistakes. I know that will be a hit here. |

Rachel Maddow. She's the smartest, edgiest, most honest broadcast journalist in the business. There's nobody even close - yes, she's biased, we all are, but she's very aware of her own biases, and if it's just her opinion, she'll tell you so. And if she's reporting something factual, she tries to bring in a real expert, and asks him/her to tell her if she's full of Sh*t or not. If the expert says she is, she accepts it gracefully. She has Right Wing guests on her show, and she lets them say their piece. Of course, she often disagrees with them. but if they make an honest presentation, she lets them finish it. Everybody makes mistakes, even Berton. But when she does, she corrects it immediately - even breaking into her ongoing story line to do so. I would love to watch a Right Wing journalist with the same degree of honesty. I would also love to find a magic lamp with a Genie who'll give me three wishes... Maddow is a liar and has been proven such but I understand why you would like her Brew. |
