What Happens Next?- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6HwWOVDWWM With Brexit, the UK recently voted to leave the EU. Some are now saying that the vote wasn’t legally binding, and parliament may decide not to implement the Brexit. What will probably happen? "After Britain's historic vote to leave the European Union, there is no indication that a so-called Brexit will happen soon. It maybe never will. Prime Minister David Cameron, who is resigning, has said he will not take the formal step to an EU divorce on the grounds that his successor should. Because the referendum is not legally-binding, some politicians are suggesting a parliament vote before formally triggering Brexit. A petition on the UK government's website on holding a second referendum has gained more than 3 million signatories in just two days. European leaders, facing the biggest threat to European unity since World War Two, are divided over how swiftly divorce talks should start. Paris wants haste and German Chancellor Angela Merkel is urging patience. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said he wanted to "start immediately". And on Sunday, Scotland's leader said Scotland may veto Brexit altogether. Under devolution rules, the parliaments of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales are required to consent to any EU divorce, according to a report by the House of Lords. Most British politicians agree such a decisive 52-48 win for Leave in the referendum means a divorce must happen. Anything less would be a slap in the face of democracy.” Racism On The Rise- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIh1kEsdKPs Since the UK voted to leave the EU, there has been a sharp spike in racist incidents. The attacks are centered around foreign born individuals such as an attack on a Polish Social and Cultural Association. “After Thursday's referendum on a "Brexit," a wave of racist incidents have been reported to British police and documented in widely shared social media posts. Through the weekend, #Postrefracism has been trending, and its contents provide a disheartening view of how Britain's vote to leave the European Union may be emboldening those who harbor virulent racist sentiments. Police in west London were investigating what they called a "racially motivated" attack against the Polish Social and Cultural Association. Poles make up the largest foreign-born population in the United Kingdom. The organization's building was apparently defaced with graffiti that said, "Go home." In Cambridgeshire, leaflets were apparently distributed with “Leave the EU/No more Polish vermin” written in both English and Polish.” |

"Police in west London were investigating what they called a "racially motivated" attack against the Polish Social and Cultural Association. Poles make up the largest foreign-born population in the United Kingdom" Just what race are the Polish people anyway. I've never been to Poland. Are they black? Maybe yellow skinned? I grew up in the coal regions of PA and had some Polish families on our street, next to Italians, Russians, French and so many other EU nationalities. They all looked like me, Caucasian. Gone, are you sure this "youtube" thing isn't Liberal inspired? I mean it's the liberals who resort to using the word "racism" when describing people who disagree with them. It's their go-to-word. It's part of the indoctrinated script of the left. But, I could be wrong, Poles may be "people of color." I mean, white is a color, right? Some black people like to refer to caucaisans as "pink" colored. But that just might be a racist comment. |

Racism is simply discrimination and it can, and has, applied to many nationalities in the past white and non white. I am sure you are familiar with these rather common terms. The wops The polacks The spics The micks The sand niggers The gooks The chinks The dagos The prairie nigger There are many more. |

It's from the Young Turks Ban, I neither agree or disagree with it. Only put it up here for discussion. |

Most all negative acts or words about race can be racial "discrimination," but not all discrimination is racism. I think what you are describing is xenophobia and want to call it racism. It's all discrimination. Calling all discrimination as "racism" has become a Liberal exaggeration for political purposes. The reference in the articled concerning the Polish Social and Cultural Association is not racism. It may be discrimination but it's not racism. But if you agree that "the Police in west London were investigating what they called a "racially motivated" attack against the Polish Social and Cultural Association" is racism, then you must consider that the IRS's (under Lois Lerner) reported "targeting" of (discriminating against) conservative groups as Racism. I mean, if you are going to "stretch" the meaning of racism to include what you describe in your last post, as "discrimination," then you have to apply it to Lois Lerner and the IRS and to those who influenced Lois Lerner and the IRS to do such discrimination as acts of racism and thus all are racists. I really do not think racism is on the increase either in Europe or in the United States. What has happened in both areas, th4e extreme right has made it acceptable to openly express racist comments. |

The left screaming "racism" about everything is their main crutch. But, that's because the left has redefined "racism."..... like a lot of other things via PCness. |
