When one has surgery they need pain relief in many cases.
The tyrick seems to be avoiding becoming dependent on opiods.

Most will become addicted if they take them for long. Some decide to let themselves be addicted instead of enduring the pain.

The fact is progressives do not want to talk about getting the death rate from over dose of drugs under control just like they don't want to talk about radical Islam.

I disagree.

This is a universal problem, not a progressive one. People need to toughen up and deal with the pain.

Hmmm..... I see a lot of progressives on this board wanting to talk about gun control because of the number of deaths yet I don't see one of them wanting to talk about getting deaths from overdose of drugs under control. When did they talk about it Pat?

There are some, that have deteriorated physically to the point where the only way to any quality of life is the narcotic pain relievers. For them addiction is not an issue. Patients should be screened and there should be no incentive for doctors to prescribe.
