Stoned, are you saying that there are no laws on the books regulating the selling and buying of Assault Rifles?
aaasbump
Would you like to talk about the "gun show loophole" where it is legal to sell assault weapons without background checks?

I would be happy to explain to you that it is not legal to sell assault weapons without a extensive FBI background investigation. The law has been on the books since I believe 1938.

Yep, an extensive investigation of the seller is required, not the buyer. Please explain that while you are at it.

No, Colo_crawdad, of the buyer. And if he passes the investigation he has many regulations which he must follow to keep owning the weapon.

Why did you say tghe opposite in your prior post. I trusted your words as being honest and complete. I guess I was wrong to do so.

I do know that ther Columbine shoters has a friend over the age of 21 purchased their assault weapon at ta Denver Area gun show. The purchaser was prosecuted only for purchasing the glun for someone else not qualified to purchase such a weapon because of age.

Sorry but that was not a assault rifle he used. Therein lies your problem. You do not know what an assault rifle is.

Why no attempt to justify you posting the opposite about who is investigated in your earlier post?

Yes, that is the case Thumper. Colo_crawdad is talking about a semi-automatic rifle which is not by definition a assault rifle. But they look scary to progressives and the liberal media so they have used the term "assault rifle" to describe them.

A guide the media and progressives use for firearm identification:

"Military grade" is not a qualifier here? That is a qualifier Berton posted on another thread.
