I know of few knives and no baseball bats designed to kill. Neither do I know of any mass killings that used either knives or baseball bats for the mass killing, or for terrorism attacks.

All three have been used to intentionally killed people. A gun is designed to fire a bullet, the one who fires the gun, or uses a knife to do an OJ number, or use any blunt instrument to bludgeon someone or run their car into a crowd are the ones with intent to kill. For all four instruments none can do it by itself. All four can be used for useful, peaceful, possibly recreational, and non-lethal tasks... with no intention to be used to kill. Flying a plane can be used for peaceful purposes; or, it can be used by someone to purposefully fly into a large building to kill people ..... as with the non-home grown, work place violence pilots of the airliners flown into the twin towers buildings, sometimes killing 1500 - 3000 at a "clip."
bsmeter

All this stuff about use of baseball bats and knives and other items used as weapons are just red herrings to avoid the reality that one who possess concealed or open carry guns and some other types of guns have indicated an intent to kill be it homosexuals, abortion clinic workers, or just those targeted by fanatic religious nuts.

Kill what?

Is your premise (and that's all it is, I'll refrain from calling it a bsmeter premise) to imply that all gun owners possess a firearm for the intention to kill another human being? If it is, you need to show a valid, scientific study that indicates such. I know many, many gun owners, conservatives and liberals, who have purchased a firearm and never with any intention of killing another human being. I've had shotguns, rifles and registered pistols for 68 years and never had intentions of killing someone.

I may be gullible, but not nearly as gullible as those continuing to support Donald Trump for President. LOL
You are right, your gullibility drives you to support the dumd socialist from Arkansas.

Colo likes to be contrary since is a schooled masterdebator.
:bounce:

Reminds me that a few years ago our High School debate team wanted team T-shirts emblazoned with MASTERDEBATERS. Obviously we could not bow to their wishes.

baseball bat kill radius = arms length plus three feet

Having a weapon only shows you have thought about killing, not your ability to judge right or wrong. A weapon shows that killing is in your mind.

I wasn't aware that you were also a psychologist? lol.

I think gun ownership is for a wide variety of reason. Personal protection being one.

Pat,
So you believe in personal protection as long as it doesn't involve killing? You will only threaten or shoot to wound?

Non I did not say that, suicide is not my game. If I feel that my life or a loved one's is threatened, I would not hesitate to shoot. And the only reason for pulling the trigger is to kill the person that is threatening.

Corky is trying to have us believe everyone who owns a gun has a desire to kill. It's stupid and I can't believe some of you are even playing with him.
