Young people are often too naive to recognise BS when they hear it.
Some never outgrow this fault it! Trump has only done what every republican since Goldwater has done They run to the right to get the nomination and then they sprint back to the middle for the general.
Difference? Trump is not sprinting back. He has a highly volatile and aroused base, maybe too much so. They are loud and visible but they don't have the numbers. Trump is now basking in the heat from this comparatively small group. Partisan primaries are a poor judge of electability. Damn few voters and even fewer who are not the fanatic fringe.
The media made his monster, free of charge, and they have the means to destroy him using only his words and actions. Will they? Don't know. It depends on huow stupid they begin to look when the real campaigning starts.

I'm beginning to understand the problem here, some of you have entirely misinterpreted and misrepresented the Trump campaign. You are approaching this as if it were a normal cycle.
Oh, and yiou are way out to left field with your post. I doubt you know why.

You are approaching this as if it were a normal cycle. Oh, and yiou are way out to left field with your post. I doubt you know why. This cycle is anything but normal but the pattern is the same, if distorted. The US is at a turning point. Sanders represents one extreme, Trump the other. Make no mistake both are extreme.
Of the two, three if you count HIllary, I prefer Sanders but that doesn't mean I think he is a really good choice either. I think Sanders has started a movement but I don't think he is the one to lead it. I don't think this country is yet ready, just as we were not ready for a black president and that Sanders would face the same problems.
I won't go into Trump, you know my position there. Hillary? Sanders has pushed her considerably to the left and she is now addressing many of "his" issues. Hillary has been demonized since her days in Arkansas. 90% of it pure bullschit. I have problems with her hawkishness although compared to Trump she is little more than a sparrow.
She has gone into considerable deatail about her positions and plans. Trump has not yet become even coherent on his plans. You have said here that you know nothing of his plans and that you are content to wait and see. I am not. "Making America Great Again" just doesn't cut it.
I have yet to meet a Trump supporter who can articulate what Trump would actually do. We know the wall will not be built, certainly not in 18 monts and certainly not with Mexican cash. He is not going to blackmail China or intimidate Russia although those are his talking points. He has flip flopped on all or most of the domestic ideas put forward.
What is the real attraction here? Just me but I see a dying political culture masquerading as potential greatness.

A populist message is just that. Only extreme to the left and the statists in this case who are in fear. t Donald is not a populist and is not extreme? Clarify.
