An Ill Wind: Open Season on Bald Eagles; Sacrificing 4,200 of the birds a year for green energy sounds fine to regulators.

Interesting how the right has more concern for eagles and tree frogs than they do for the poor and transgendered!

Has anyone even attempted t6o answer the3 question of how many eagles have been killed by windmills?
Are you saying that the oil industry can get permission to kill some amount of eagles and other birds with no penalty like the wind turbine industry can? This question has been answered elsewhere on this thread by demonstrating it is based on a false premise.

You know we have no specific number and now I will not play another childish game of yours.
Then why did you falsely claim it has “"Probably been answered at least a half dozen times?”

Here is the contradictory quote from your OP. - Quote:
-
“We don’t really know how many birds are being killed now by wind turbines because the wind industry doesn’t have to report the data,” says Michael Hutchins of the American Bird Conservancy.
It is entirely likely that changes have been made to limit the number of bird strikes since the earlier data was collected.
Likely? Since they are wanting a 30 year exemption what would they change?
I believe that they are requesting the current five year permit be extended to 30 years. The response to that request should be decided based on real data that has been gathered in a scientific manner.
"So in the end, it would seem that neither the oil and gas industry nor the wind turbine industry can kill eagles without penalty." If that is the case then your post here is one big lie. Where or what is the lie? Please explain. I really don't know what you are trying to say.

Berton's just playing his usual game of deliberately misunderstanding what he's been told.
Next phase is the word game - which he'll blame on you.

In one sentence you say that neither industry can get permits and in the other you say that the wind generator industry gets five year permits now and wants 30 year permits in the future. So which one is true and which one is the lie you told.

So which one is true and which one is the lie you told. All I want to know is how many eagles are killed yearly by wind turbines. I think it is either unknown or classified. Neither Bert or Neut have any idea.,
