An Ill Wind: Open Season on Bald Eagles; Sacrificing 4,200 of the birds a year for green energy sounds fine to regulators.

I drove by some wind turbines this morning.
The surrounding fields are freshly worked.

I am happy to report that, even though I looked carefully,
I saw no dead or injured birds of any description.
Of course, it could be, as with most things Canadian,
our birds are simply smarter!
There is a reason for the expression "birdbrain". Look at the bright side, We will be forcing the evolution of birds smart enough to avoid a structure as large as a many storied building.

Shucks, they may even learn to fly high enough not to be struck by cars. Then we will all be inundated by birds. Birds of every kind and size as they strike back, in overwhelming numbers, at their oppressors..

Hitchcock's "Birds" may have been prophetic.

A truly great example of a liberal conversation above. It's a sickness.

I am just passing the time waiting for you, or anyone, to tell me how many eagles are killed yearly by wind turbines. It has been a long wait and you must forgive me if I try to amuse myself while waiting.

I hope you are not holding your breath.

While Newt derideslyour conversation, it may be out of jealousy. He wishes that, sometime in the future, he may actually contribute to a rational conversation without his insidious insults.

Birds vs human. No contest for me, I will always choose humans.

How many birds do tornadoes, hurricanes and other windy events kill?

Some things we can do something about, some things we can't.

Such as building a system that helps us develop better wind turbines that are better placed to better avoid detrimental affects upon wildlife.

Maybe the birds can be trained as UAVs for the Canadian's to use for air defence so they can retire their ancient fighters.

And such as tornadoes, hurricanes and other windy events, plus floods, droughts, wildfires and oil spills, all of which kill many, many birds.
