An Ill Wind: Open Season on Bald Eagles; Sacrificing 4,200 of the birds a year for green energy sounds fine to regulators.

Now an article trumps any common sense you might have?
That is the dumbest argument for today so far, even better than wondering what water does from temperature.

So it seems that all the Greenies on this board are hypocrites. Must be a liberal thing.

Are you trying to say birds are killed but not eagles or what Stoned?
Windmills kill some eagles. I am simply asking , "How many do they kill"?

Lots of figures for "bats" and "birds" but none for eagles.

Odd.

Eagles are birds, I would hope you would know birds fly and the would fly into windmills.

This is one of the silliest claims I have seen yet from Climate Deniers.

Birds fly into windmills, yes. They also fly into windows & cars, get trapped in buildings, get caught by cats and other birds, have their eggs eaten by weasels, birds & other critters. Some even get caught in wind currents and crash into cliffs.

And I strongly suspect that more birds (Including Eagles) are killed by any of those than by windmills. And none of them help keep the air clean and the climate balanced the way windmills do. And clean air and clean water are important to Eagles.

I suggest that Neut and Bert start a campaign to eliminate anything that kills Eagles, starting with the worst offenders: windows, cats, buildings, weasels, cliffs - and other Eagles.

Once that's done, we can return to the discussion on windmills.

Do keep in mind that, other than the title, the OP actually says nothing about eagles.

What's the big deal anyhow? So the bald eagle goes the way many others have before them, extinct.
