There are more and more Americans considering fleeing the US if Trump wins - if there really are a significant number of refugees, it's going to strain our resources to vet all those potentially violent gun-toting people. The good news for us is that if Trump is really going to force the US's southern neighbour Mexico, to pay for the wall on the US's southern border, he can hardly balk at paying for the one on OUR southern border... Moving to Canada |

Hopefully, due to non-election, we will ever know how many many Americans would flee to Canada if Trump were elected. |

Here's my position, after watching YT videos of border patrol episodes both in Australia, and Canada, I come to the hard realization that the US isn't the only country parinoid about people coming in. It might not be possible for someone like me to legally move to either place. Just speaking for myself, The cops here have made my quality of life poor, Trump might make it worse, he might not, but he does threaten the only two things keeping me here. He strikes me as a BS artist and that for me would be a good thing. If he gives the cops who he loves so much more power than they already have to destroy my life, then yes, I would try to leave and you could hardly blame me, again, I fear it might not be possible. Canada would be my third choice behind Australia and possiblly a country in Europe, still some research needed there. In any case I would seek asylum using a lifetime of being abused by cops as testomony. I value freedom and rights, even gun rights and the freedom to have such a tool, but I don't have that here so it will not be much of a loss not to have it elsewhere. More to the point, since no one can, I would be more equal there. I have been to Canada one time and didn't even know until I asked someone on another boat for directions back to Kelly's Island. I wonder how that Canada wall will look going across the great lakes. lol |

Freaking leave but understand all countries have cops. Do wrong and get arrested, that's how it works. |

Freaking leave but understand all countries have cops. Do wrong and get arrested, that's how it works. Well, my hope might be that I would actually have to do wrong before Ausse cops, or those cops in Canada would arrest me, and even then, arresting me would be all they do. Cops in the good ol USA will rape, abuse, lie, falsify charges, wait a few months and do it all over again, it's fun for them, and Trump loves them so much for it. If you knew what I been through and believe I'm not a criminal, you could hardly blame me for leaving if it gets worse. I could care less about the wall, build it, don't build it, no matter. But Trump is a classic "blame the victim" kind of person and that don't fare well for me. |

That is good news. Your link, from "The San Gabriel Valley Tribune," is probably referring to the illegal Latino's wanting to leave California for Canada to get away from Trump and the possibility that they will be sent back to where they came. But, you know, most who say they are moving to Canada don't really go, so you really don't need a wall. Just have your new Liberal government raise taxes to pay for the entitlements for the new refugees. I mean, aren't they just as worthy as middle east refugees? Besides many of you will probably want to take them into your homes and provide some personal care needs for your new arrivals, if for no other reason than to set an example for the world to live by. The only down side may be a bitter competition between the Latinos with other Canadian racial minorities, particularly the French Canadian racial minorities.
